A few companies responded. One company was booked until September while another company declined. A third company was able to show up the same day to measure and provide an estimate. MacVane Electrical was the fourth company to reply but was the quickest to provide an estimate after I texted pictures of the circuit boxes as well as an approximate distance. I was hesitant due to lack of online reviews. Phil (Sr.) quickly responded in the same evening with an estimate as well as a commitment to show up the next day to do the work. Phil (Jr) arrived the next day (Tuesday) as promised along with Ray, and both got the work done in about 2 hours. Both are super nice guys. Turns out Phil and his father started the company just 6 months ago, hence there are few to no reviews online. They are friendly, clean, and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done. Phil Jr was so thorough that after he finished and left, he called the sauna company to verify the type of plug the sauna required. He then came back an hour or so later to replace the receptacle to the correct type. Installed and wired Whole Generator - including 400 AMP service entrance automated transfer switch (ATS) .(2015) - simply perfect job, clean, straight, done the way that I asked them to do it.....There was a question about installing ATS outside next to the meter pan, or down stairs near the main load center for the house....most electricians wanted to install outside where it was the quickest & easiest to do....but Joe (Co-owner) said it would be better to place down stairs in basement ...cleaner, drier. less apt to rust or deteriorate over time..that is where we ended up placing it...and that was the right place to put it. I got the sense they were doing the work as if they were working on their own family home.
