They arrived and assessed the job. I had already installed the wall mount and attached the flat screen TV. All they needed to do was install the soundbar. They went to their truck and left a clip board behind that stated $250 price for the job. They came back and installed the soundbar below the TV. They could not pair the TV and soundbar to operate properly and left us with 2 remotes. They left the soundbar in bluetooth mode without saying we could shut it off or it would stay on 24/7. We checked Sony book to look for answers. They charged us $325 and left no receipt. Get a carpenter to hang your soundbar it will be a lot cheaper. We're looking for professionals. Hudson Valley Home Media Can't Be Trusted We made an error…read moreand sent them more than they paid for. They refuse to return or pay for the product. They contacted us urgently looking for six NetGear access points because they were unable to obtain them through their normal channels. We located and reserved the units for them. They requested a price below our cost, which we declined, and they placed an order for two units. Due to a fulfillment error, we mistakenly shipped six units instead of two. When we discovered the mistake, we immediately requested the return of the four additional units and offered to cover the return shipping. Hudson Home Media refused to return the units and refused to pay for them, stating that they considered them "unsolicited merchandise" rather than a shipment error. They also stated they would not pay because they believed we should have sold the original units at a lower price. Based on our experience, Hudson Valley Home Media can't be trusted.

Bill began the engagement by doing a walk-thru of our house and spending time educating us on various options, without pressuring us to purchase any services or products. During the walk-thru, Bill provided me with talking points to go through with the Verizon FIOS technician, who was coming to install wireless internet the following day. A few days later, Bill returned to install two televisions. His staff approached the project as problem solvers, as they carefully hung both televisions (ensuring they were both secure) and thoughtfully and creatively hid all wires behind walls. Further, while making necessary holes in the walls, one technician held a vacuum to ensure that they did not leave a mess. Just a small demonstration of how thoughtfully they treat houses that they work in. Additionally, Bill provided an accurate and fair estimate and was very conscious of costs throughout the project. Bill and his team work very hard, are efficient, and spend the needed time to develop the best plan to wire the space. While we haven't yet addressed the music / stereo in the house, I will certainly call Bill when I'm ready to do so. Bill and his team were professional, patient, reliable, and extraordinarily good at what they do. I highly recommend Bill and his team for any electronics related projects in your home or office.

But it's our good fortune to have the multi-generation owned Cos Cob TV & Audio that has been meeting this standard in our area even before my first happy experience with them 30-years ago. The store has expanded from its initial analog TV repair to major home TV theater, security systems and other large smart home projects. They also bring all this to the small residential projects like mine, which is also rare. When I first moved to Cos Cob, the original owner recommended an analog SONY Trinitron VEGA TV whose picture tube still works, but digital has passed it by. I've since bought two smart TVs from them, the latest needing a complex wall installation requiring cable concealment. From setting up the initial site inspection with Joe at the store, to Conner's perfect installation, which is separately charged, they are great to work with. I also wanted to redesign my "too little work space" 4' x 2' home office desk and install Ergotron arms for my computer displays. Their other tech, Jason, expertly took on the home office project, drilling the needed desk grommets, installing the Ergotrons and concealing the cables, giving me needed room to work. I can't recommend them highly enough

Other places I looked into were booking 3-4 weeks out and suggested my install would take at least 2 days. Not only does the system sound incredible, but the price was very fair.
