This is a new shopping center that is easy to get to. The outlets were a little smaller than I'm used to. Maybe because I've been to some Gap Factory stores. But, I scored some good deals and made out with 6 sweaters and 2 pairs of jeans for $100. They also had a DSW shoe store, Pier One and several other cool stores. I didn't see much in the way of food options and wished there was somewhere close by to grab a bite of lunch. But, maybe they'll add that to the area at some point.

This outlet place was about 1-1.5 hours out of the way but very doable. It worked out great! We found a baby store, loaded up on baby clothes and toys. We were there around 3-5 in the afternoon. It was an easy in-easy out. The place has so much parking. The layout is a bit weird. Instead of being circular or squared off like most of these places... it seemed like a long line of stores on each side. Not a huge deal but it did seem like more walking than what most of these places provide. They have all the typical stores. We looked around some but were just trying to make it to our destination so we didn't stick around too long.

They have clothing places for many styles- LOFT, Banaa Republic, LuluLemon, Versona, Belk, DSW, etc. There's a Pottery Barn and big HomeGoods for home deco fans, and even a Trader Joe's at the far end. It's also set up very friendly to be able to walk around, with wide sidewalks all around so even with a lot of traffic in and out you don't feel caught in the middle of it. We came around Christmas which was crazy busy but once we were able to find a parking spot (which was a little rough) it felt totally fine walking here and there. They also have a few niche businesses here too, like an Asian toy store, a botox store and eye clinic. Tons of options, plus all the restaurants and a small food hall to sit in.

Tanger Outlets Commerce - Where Reviewers Are Many, But Enforcement Is... Selective…read more As someone who reviews shopping centers often--on both Yelp and Google--I've come to expect a certain level of consistency, especially from a well-established outlet brand like Tanger. Usually, sharing photos and feedback is welcomed. Encouraged, even. At Tanger Locust Grove, I posted a review with photos and was personally thanked by the owner. But at Tanger Commerce, I discovered something quite different. While taking a few standard photos during my visit (like I've done at dozens of malls - some with almost 100k views), I was approached by a security guard, followed from across the complex from Nike to Marshall's, photographed, and informed that photography is prohibited unless I had a press or media pass. When I identified myself as a reviewer, hoping for some clarity or even conversation, I was met with suspicion and stone-faced enforcement. My boss makes me enforce this rule I was told - leaving me wondering who his boss is, as from the owners replies to other posts it clearly isn't them. Here's where it really gets confusing: a multitude of other reviewers--on both Yelp and Google--have uploaded photos of storefronts, interiors, signage, merchandise, and even selfies at this very location. Entire photo carousels exist, ranging from fashion displays to food court visits, without a whisper of consequence. One reviewer even uploaded 14 photos on Google and was publicly thanked by management for their "great review" and "wonderful experience." only a month ago. So I ask: if photos are truly not allowed here, why is enforcement only aimed at some of us? Why the inconsistency? And more importantly--where are the signs? None were visible. No policy posted. Just a sudden switch from shopping to being surveilled. Reviewers, take note: If you're documenting your experience, know that Commerce enforces its "rules" selectively. You may be ignored like the 50 reviewers before you--or you may get followed, photographed, and reminded you're not welcome to record your visit. P.S. - I'm not being paid for my reviews, nor do I have anything to gain from this. I just enjoy helping people find great places to spend their time and hard-earned money. But this place? This wasn't it and recommend it I do not.

The street is beautifully decorated with our beautiful American flags and flower pots. I love how the buildings are older but have been turned into something new and modern.
