Tracey my daughter is a supervisor and is a very responsible young lady and even tho she was late for her appointment her other half was there and explained the situation. She was on her way over the mountain losing service in and out when your guy decided to tell her does she need him to dumb down the explanation? Like huh? What? that was uncalled for! He could have waited the 3 minutes it took her to get there! He left and sent her an invoice and she emailed you disappointed on what happened there are cameras in the home with audio and when she sent me the video of the way he was speaking to her on the phone and to her other half It was absolutely horrible! Then after the call with you, you telling her you did not care if she put a bad review and other comments made to her that were inappropriate! My daughter is learning how to be a homeowner(closed on home 10/8/2025) so she asks many questions because she wants to understand. Iam very proud of her and the person she is but not once did she disrespect you as you did her telling her she disrespected the appointment by getting there late and she wasted your time!l She picked your service because of the very good reviews and you were close to the house! I know you were a new homeowner at one time so patience and empathy especially with these times are essential to our young adults! Being Kind is free! She was going to move forward with the service that's why she reached back out to you but after the way you disrespected her (yes the call was on speaker and the audio to the house cameras captured it all) I told her all your service deserves is the service call fee I told her I will help her find someone else she does not need to give you her hard earned money! Bob and company (I.e., his receptionist) are the absolute rudest contracting org we have ever encountered. We scheduled a service call with Bob for 3 services: 1) to repair a chandelier lift, 2) to install a new chandelier and 3) to install a ceiling fan in place of ceiling light. He came in with an attitude like he did not want to do the job. My husband had been in touch with the manufacturer of the lift and had ordered the replacement part myself. When he tried to explain the background on the lift motherboard, Bob was uninterested and rushed me through the instructions. However, he did not waste any time warning us that he would be charging extra for any trouble-shooting. In the end, he did not hook up the motherboard correctly. We had to have another electrician come to fix his errors. Given his attitude, we did not ask him to complete the chandelier. It was large and complex - so clearly he wanted nothing to do with it. The ceiling fan was a simple change because we already had a ceiling fan guard. This was the only thing he completed. To top it off, when my husband called to let his office know he charged us for doing the job incorrectly (request a partial refund), Tracey began screaming at him, blaming him saying we messed with the motherboard! My husband was patient, spoke calmly, and tried to explain why we should not be charged for the bad job (note we were willing to pay the service fee and work for the fan), she hung up on him! If you expect to pay for a service that is correct, complete and done with respect, Bob from Lehigh Valley Electric is not your electrician.

    Several weeks ago, Jack Lehr inspected our gas furnace and replaced a limit switch. The technician…read moreseemed knowledgeable and professional. However, last night, we smelled gas coming from the furnace and contacted UGI. The UGI technician determined the underlying issue was a faulty gas control valve--something that should have been identified during the previous service. The furnace was red-tagged, and we were instructed to contact the last servicing company to replace the valve immediately. As part of our yearly maintenance plan with Jack Lehr, which includes "priority scheduling and access to on-call technicians (available nights/weekends/holidays)," we reached out to them. Unfortunately, it became clear that "available nights/weekends/holidays" was a marketing ploy and not an actual service commitment. The on-call technician, Josiah, initially said someone "might be able" to come out "Monday or Tuesday" if "they had time." When we asked to speak to a supervisor to address the situation, we were told repeatedly that supervisors are unavailable on weekends and would not take customer calls. After a lengthy back-and-forth about whether a gas leak that disabled our heat in 3-degree weather constituted an "emergency," Josiah reluctantly agreed to visit our home. However, he informed us that the required gas control valve could not be ordered until Monday because those with the authority to approve such orders were "off for the weekend." When we asked to escalate the issue or speak to someone who could expedite the part, we were again told, explicitly and repeatedly, that "supervisors do not talk to customers on weekends." I was told it was up to me to call them back Monday morning to follow up about ordering the essential safety component required to keep my home from having a gas leak. This has been the most unresponsive and frustrating customer service experience I have ever encountered. While Jack Lehr might employ competent and helpful representatives, they are apparently off and unavailable during actual emergencies. For contrast, I contacted a local competitor--despite not having a service contract with them--and they secured the part and agreed to provide service quickly and professionally. If you want a company that treats a gas leak in your home during winter with indifference, Jack Lehr is a good fit. If you want to keep your family warm and safe, I recommend seeking anyone else in the Lehigh Valley.

    I actually found Tom Biehl on Yelp - or rather, he found me. I had left a message that I was…read morelooking for an electrician to install ceiling fans, and he contacted me. He came out promptly, and after carefully reviewing what I needed done, he emailed me a detailed estimate. When I later made a change, he emailed me the change in the estimate - that's a professional way to do business. I had other estimates previously, but was not comfortable with the others and did not get a written estimate. I opted for Tom to do the work because he seemed knowledgeable and was a pleasure to deal with - friendly, but professional. As a woman, I have often had to deal with service men who were condescending, often intimidating, and know-it-all's who didn't impress me with either their manners, their professionalism, or their finished work! Not so Tom, who turned out to be the perfect choice :-) Having done some research about the correct installation of fans and reasons they might wobble, I felt that he knew what he was talking about. In addition to installing 3 ceiling fans, he fixed two ceiling fans that wobbled badly. Thanks to Tom, I know have 5 ceiling fans working as they should with no wobbles! He also installed another recessed light over my sink, tying into ones that were already there, but poorly placed. He arrived on time, made very little mess, and did an excellent job. I thought there might be repair work needed on the ceiling, but there was no damage done to the ceiling or walls. Most important to me was how he handled having to change an installation because I wasn't happy with how low the fan hung with the down rod I had picked. He just smiled, took the fan down, replaced the down rod with a shorter one, and didn't make a fuss. This guy impressed me with his knowledge, his willingness to explain things to me, his pleasant manner, his van full of useful tools to do a good job (really! he has this cool tool that cuts a hole in the ceiling and catches all the mess) and his professionalism.     We were caught in the middle of a renovation project and the electrician our Contractor utilizes…read morewas unable to free himself up. My brother-in-law recommended Steve Lenko and his business. Our Contractor agreed to use them because of the delay. Steve came out on a Saturday afternoon only 6 hours after we contacted him in order to review the job. He spent 3 hours at our home going over every aspect of the job, looking at the existing wiring and the proposed options we wanted. Steve not only made some excellent recommendations but also had the foresight to allow for a junction for a first floor connection on the same circuit that may be eliminated in the near future, saving us a lot of work and most likely a bit of money also. I don't know of another Electrician that I've ever used in the past that would think ahead like that for the customer. He said his helper Jim would be out early Monday after a lengthy consultation with him to review all aspects of the job. We were admittedly a bit concerned as we've had owners of businesses come out and sound top notch before and then send their workers out and be totally disappointed. This was truly not the case this time. Outside of the necessary noise required to complete the project we would almost not have known he was there. He arrived right on time every day. Worked the entire day. Never had to do one of those 2-3 hour mystery trips in the middle of the workday when you wonder if you're actually being charged for the offsite time needed for poor planning. Our entire experience was excellent. There is nothing they could have done better or done differently. We are having our faith renewed in the industry and look forward to working with them again for other projects in the future. Contact Lenko Electric if you need any electrical work done.
