This is a beautiful park, a local nice park with various trails. A nice trail for a date or to walk your dog. They have the option to do paddle boating here. It's really nice. I definitely will return to check out more of their trails and to enjoy the outside!

Over $50 for a city/state park isn't all that great. The road leading to the CG from the east side was shut down, making us drive through a small neighborhood with narrow streets and low power lines. We made it through then drove all the way around and entered through the other side just fine. This is a gated CG with an entry box for the park itself, than another key code gated area for the CG itself. It was hot as heck and thankfully, we had no power or utility issues. No shade covered in the large spots at the front of the park which can be a blessing and a curse depending on how you look at it. Lake/Pond is over fished and the CG looked tired. We stayed here to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. This CG is about 25 minutes from the Creation Museum and approx 1 hour from the Ark Encounter. Several "Ok" fishing area's around this CG and about 15 minutes to better shopping/dining options. We were only here for a couple nights.

    Kayaking near the entrance.

This was definitely my favorite spot during covid. Though like all parks during that time it was busy. However, it was large enough to get away from the crowd and was easy to get my kayak in and out of the water. The lake is large to enjoy a feel afternoon out on the water. It's definitely worth a visit if you enjoy spending time outside!

Hamilton County has some of the finest parks in the Cincinnati metro area. They have great facilities, excellent programs and lots of free or nearly free events to enjoy. And Winton Woods is one of the finest of those finest. As the website says, "With trails, fishing, horseback riding, golfing, camping and loads of picnic areas and playgrounds, this park has something for everyone outdoors." It's our choice for "staycation" camping when we just want to get away from home for a couple of nights. The campground is clean, with well maintained bathroom/shower facilities and a nice variety of site options. There are both fully equipped deluxe and basic cabins for rent. There are full hook-up sites and pull-through sites to accommodate campers, recreational vehicles and tents. Plus, the campground office has a general store where you can buy souvenirs and equipment, snack bar featuring ice cream and Wi-Fi. Oh, an they always have bundles of wood for your fire pit or bbq at the site. Winton Woods has 123 campsites total, but reserve one far enough in advance to get in. This place is very popular in the summer months. Besides camping, there are boat rentals featuring pontoon boats, paddle boats, canoes and kayak for rent to take out on the lake. All of this makes for a great place to take the entire family for a day or a stay. This review is primarily about camping, but check out the other activities and amenities like horseback riding, golf and Parky's Farm. "Talk about a fun place to take the kids, how about a 100-acre educational farm with live animals, wagon and pony rides, indoor and outdoor playground and more? Programs, events and celebrations are happening daily on the farm." This truly is one of Hamilton County's premier parks. We feel pretty lucky to live so close.

Winton Woods is one of the better parks in Cincinnati. Nestled in between Brentwood and Green Hills, Winton Woods is a great Hamilton County park that provides a lot of options for patrons. My wife and I had two completely different experiences there, both enjoyable. Our first trip to Winton Woods was expressly to ride the paddle boats (my wife calls them pedal boats). A boathouse sitting on the water (it floats) houses a number of ways to travel by water: canoes, paddle (pedal) boats, kayaks, and more. The rent for these is hourly and affordable, especially since there aren't many places in the area where you're able to do such things. Riding the paddle boats is great fun, and good for those with weak arms and stronger legs. However, here's a tip for females from my wife: don't wear a skirt, you may be embarrassed. Our second trip was to have a picnic for our 3rd anniversary. We brought our dog Tater and found a nice spot in the middle of a good patch of grass. Everyone was cordial to our dog, and we really enjoyed ourselves. We then took a walk by the lake that kept the area cool even for a hot June day. Other options for enjoying a day at Winton Woods include an aquatic center (read: fancy sprinklers for the kids to play in) and a challenging frisbee golf course. Frolf: who could ask for more?

Great campground but terrible water pressure at waste station. It's busy though with lots of kids.

Beautiful scenery to enjoy while walking, running, or biking on a paved loop. Not very shaded so wear your sunscreen! :)

A wonderful location to view the bustling activity along The Ohio River Trail, and a place to gather and celebrate as a community. The park boasts multiple water play features, giant swings, an interactive foot piano, an imaginative play area for kids, expansive pollinator gardens, and Carol Ann's Carousel. Several historical monuments can be found like the Black Brigade Monument and the recently dedicated Marian Spencer Statue. I was on a roadtrip and my family dropped me off in downtown Cincinnati and I gravitated to Smale Riverfront Park because I wanted a place to explore nature and see river views. I explored the scenic walkways along the Ohio, flower gardens, fountains, public art, picnic spots, and plenty of space to just chill. One of my favorite features were the riverfront swings, big, bench-style swings tucked along the water that are perfect for kicking back and enjoying the view. They're surprisingly comfortable and such a great spot to unwind and reconnect with your inner child. The park has amazing views of the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Ohio River are worth the visit on their own, the paths are wide and great for families, and there's lots to explore without feeling overcrowded. There are splash zones for kids, places to sit and picnic, and tons of photo ops.
