They would look at me strangely and say " really, you want to go to Hy-Vee for breakfast" I would Rave about how good their food actually is for being a grocery store Cafe. Even before the rise of prices of eggs for some unknown reason they decided to switch to the eggs you get from a carton. Very fake tasting and never really cooked that good. They went from using real mushrooms in their omelets to the cheap stuff you get in the can. They used to have very delicious sliced potatoes that would taste like heaven, but now you can only get hash browns that are very Bland. In closing, pretty sad when a cafe in a grocery store can't make your omelet with real eggs. Things aren't what they used to be. Still very friendly service. Although I don't know her name, there's a gray-haired old gal that is always smiling, always joking, and makes you feel right at home. Thank YOU for making me feel welcome. I find so many good deals here, it's crazy the store is as empty as it is when I come here! Knocked one star off because their prices often don't ring up correctly, but they're real quick about helping you with that.
