What really sets this company apart is that Rodney doesn't just sell the job and send a crew out -- he is personally there, working alongside his team and overseeing the entire operation. That level of ownership and attention to detail really shows.
We had a major project: 23 very mature tulip poplar trees removed from our property, many of them large, tall trees in a heavily wooded area immediately behind our backyard and fence. This was not a small or simple tree-removal job, and Empire handled it incredibly well.
One of the things that impressed me most was the amount of serious, professional equipment Rodney brought in to do the job properly. This wasn't a crew showing up with a couple of chainsaws and a small chipper. They had large tracked skid steers/compact track loaders, forestry equipment, specialized grapple and tree-handling attachments, a forestry mulcher, and a huge commercial chipper capable of processing an incredible amount of material. They were able to move massive sections of timber, handle brush and debris efficiently, mulch material on site, and haul away what needed to go. You could tell immediately that Rodney has invested in the right equipment to tackle large and difficult jobs safely and efficiently.
Watching the crew work was honestly impressive. Everything was coordinated -- trees coming down, logs being moved and stacked, limbs being processed, material being chipped, and the site continually being cleaned as the work progressed. For a project involving 23 huge trees, the operation was remarkably organized.
I also want to specifically recognize TK and Mason, who were fantastic. They worked extremely hard and worked incredibly well under Rodney's direction. The entire crew was professional, skilled, hardworking, and clearly took pride in doing the job right.
What impressed me just as much as the tree removal itself was how much attention they paid to the property and cleanup. When you remove this many mature trees, you expect the area to look like a disaster afterward. Instead, they were constantly processing debris, mulching and clearing material, moving logs, and keeping the work area under control. The transformation is unbelievable, and the before-and-after photos really tell the story.
Rodney has also been excellent to work with personally: responsive, straightforward, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure I was happy with the work. It is obvious that his reputation and the quality of his company matter to him.
Empire Tree has earned my highest possible recommendation. If I need tree work again, I won't even bother calling around -- Rodney will be my first call.
