All the while stretching out a 1 hour job to almost 2 months. In order to get my money back I have to take them to court.

I was also told that my front crankcase seal was leaking. They did not tell me about the oil pan gasket leaking which was very obvious the second you lift the truck, i found out later after getting under the truck that it was leaking. They also did not tell me that my power steering pump was going out which was pretty obvious when turning the wheel from the sounds it was making. I contacted them to get the trackbar and driveshaft replaced. Was told to come in on friday to get the work done, dropped the truck off at 8am Friday morning the girl in the front assurred me no worries it will get done by the end of the day. Got a ride from a friend back to work. I called later on during the day about 1pm to get a status update on the truck only to be told by the same girl "oh they haven't started on your truck, but dont worry again it will get done by the end of the day". I then called back at 4pm, one hour before closing to ask how late i could pickup my truck, same girl advised me "oh we are so sorry, we were not able to get to your truck, you can pick it up any time even after 5, and by the time you come we will have a better date for you next week. Not going to lie i was already pretty agitated by being lied to and the multiple empty reassurances. So I showed up to pickup my truck and the lady still did not know what day to tell me to comeback. She glanced at the schedule quickly and said ok come back Tuesday at 8am. I then grab my keys said have a good weekend and went on my way. Monday afternoon came around, I called Hughs to confirm my appointment for tomorrow morning 8am. The same girl responded "yeah yeah yeah, tomorrow 8am we got you, see you tomorrow morning" Tuesday morning 8am comes around. The gate is closed but the mechanics are inside. There is an impatient customer already outside complaining to me about having an 8am appointment, having driven 4 hours from NW Montana because his insurance told him to take it to Hughs. He tells me the mechanics are inside and they dont want to open the gate and hes been waiting. Ironically at the same time we are talking, a parts truck showed up from a local parts shop and entered the back door of the shop to drop of parts. The impatient customer then begins knocking on the windows and doors trying to get someone outside to open up shop, 20+ minutes go by and a mechanic comes outside and yells at the customer "WHAT DO YOU WANT!" Customer begins telling him that he drove from far, has an 8 am appointment and has his wife and kids in the car and needs to go to another appointment. The mechanic blatently tells the customer to "f*** off, because he is being an asshole" Seeing how Hughs treated this customer infront of me, and seeing how they lied to me again and ignored me standing infront of their shop at 8am has left a horrible impression on me. I do not recommend this shop and recommend you find a more reputable shop that actually keeps their appointments, does not treat their customers like crap and point out the obvious mechanic isssues not just some.

The outcome is my transmission is fine. It's really a minor engine issue and may not need immediate fixing. Honesty is fantastic in this small business. So I saved $5700. Not sure if the big dealership is just incompetent or worse. Obviously when I do need a transmission, I know where to buy it! Thanks for the help. Tom
