Great work at a great price!…read more I received a dress the night before I needed to wear it and it was a little too big. I messaged several tailors through yelp after 11pm and Mr. Doan answered less than 15 minutes later with a simple "bring it over". I received messages from 2 other tailors with disclaimers that I needed to be there as soon as they open and one even told me it would be an additional 20% fee for "rush work". I arrived at Elegant Tailor & Cleaners at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Doan looked at the dress, did some quick measurements & said "what time do you need it?". I told him by 3pm he said "ok, see you at 3". I arrived back to his shop around 2:45, my dress was done and if fit perfectly. The best part of all of this was the price. I was full expecting to pay some ridiculous amount for this perfect same day work and I didn't. He did awesome work at a fair price and now he has a new customer. I bragged about him to everyone at my event later that night becuase I was really in shock at the quality or work done quickly and affordably.

I dropped my dress off first week of February and 2 weeks later I came to pick it up and it wasn't ready for another few hours. The total for getting my dress hemmed was $80. It was a silk dress, not anything super thick or crazy. I also dry clean my work blazer, which costs about $20 and takes a week to get done. Another place I use to go to on Colonial only charges $8 for dry cleaning. The prices here are definitely higher than the average, almost double. I pay for the convenience because I am walking distance from the tailor, but if you are looking for average prices I would recommend another place.

The cost also seems fair We've dropped off covers from a sofa and its cushions, after waiting too many years, and the cream-colored covers were noticeably better. I feel this place needs a warning sign which is why I'm sharing my experience…read more I've never used a service like this, but when I was sick for almost a month I decided I needed to. They were cheaper and closer than another place I called so I packed up 3 large garbage bags of laundry and when they picked it up, they said it would probably be around $40. They make you put your credit card on file so I had no say when they actually charged me $61. First red flag. I was so happy to see everything nicely folded and in order, I didn't care they didn't follow my request to throw all my underwear into a pillowcase and not to fold it. However, when it got a little cold, I went to get my green robe and couldn't find it. I told the guy, he apologized and ran it over immediately. Still, not feeling well, another day I decide to nap and use my favorite blanket. Guess what? Not there. This time I wrote the guy and I said, you better search all around your laundromat and bring me everything you've kept or I will be really angry and you don't want to see me angry because I'm Irish. He immediately brought back my blanket AND an entirely other bag filled with all my towels! I can't decide if it's incompetence, thievery, or negligence, but I would suggest you only use that place if you have to. I still can't find another bathrobe, but possibly donated it so letting it go. Asked for and got my tip back because service that bad didn't deserve it. Proceed with caution
