He said he would be able to do it and charged me $230. I took it there on 8/13 and he said he would have the top made for me to then come to do any alterations i needed after. I called 2 weeks later and he said he needed one more week. Fine. Then he quoted another 2 weeks to have both the skirt and top altered. I called 2 weeks later and he needed another week. Fine. I came in for my final try on and the top was way too small at the armpits and my boobs barely fit. The skirt was okay but the zipper is so cheap and snags every time i try to zip it up. Finally, the cap sleeves: i asked him to use the material to add small cap sleeves and all he did was put tule on the sleeves that made me look like a 5 year old. Would not recommend this place as he will quote a time frame and not stick to it and the measurements he took were clearly not accurate. I would have appreciated him being honest in his abilities. Side note: he offered to fix it but i am on a time crunch and did not believe he would be able to do it on time. Also, he did the same thing to my friend who is also in the wedding so i was just not confident he would be able to fix it properly.

I drive past this shop all the time around the Mills area and never thought I'd actually need it --…read moreuntil I had a last-minute wedding situation. I needed alterations done on a dress with only two days' notice, and she absolutely pulled through. Not only was the turnaround incredibly fast, but the quality of work was impressive. Clean lines, proper fit, and everything looked tailored to my body -- not just "quickly hemmed." What I loved most was the experience. It feels very local, very homey -- older-generation Vietnamese staff who are warm, efficient, and straight to the point. It reminded me of family energy. No fluff, just skilled hands and years of experience. I brought in three to four dresses, and everything was completed for around $100, which is honestly very reasonable for the amount of work and the rush timing. Pricing was fair, communication was clear, and the service was fast without feeling careless. If you're in the Mills 50 area and need dependable, quick, and affordable alterations -- especially for a last-minute event -- this place delivers. Support local. Especially when they show up for you like that.

As we went over each dress, she talked through the plan and made sure I was comfortable with where the design was heading. I came to her with 2 dresses that I've had forever but never wore because it needed some tweaks. Problem was, I didn't know exactly what each dress needed in order for them to feel more like me. Sheila walked me through her thought process and bounced ideas back and forth and before I knew it, she's pinned both dresses into something in really excited to wear! I'm definitely going back for the rest of the clothes that need some new life!

It is difficult to put into words how incredible of an experience we had at Lynn Fashion & Bridal…read more I bought my wedding dress off the rack at least three sizes too large and was incredibly nervous about getting alterations done so that it would fit perfectly. On top of the extensiveness of the alterations, the fabric of my dress is incredibly delicate and intricate, so I'm sure it was a challenge to work with. Tina and the other staff here are some of the nicest people. She said that they put love into their work, and both my parents and I could not have agreed more. They were kind and attentive and you can tell how much care they put into their work both during measurements and their masterful sewing. Beyond just doing the alterations, Tina made sure my mom and I felt comfortable putting up the bustle for my dress and teaching me how to sit in a chair without pulling on it. Every detail was thought of. We were incredibly impressed. Their work is actual magic! One appointment for measurements and one appointment to try it on and it was an absolute perfect fit. I will absolutely be coming back for any clothing that I need altered in the future.

Long story short: my European-based tailors for a dance suit (unique, stretchy, weird) screwed up in a lot of ways, meaning I didn't get a new dance jacket until the same day as a competition. The tailors at Lynn were able to not only get it tailored properly, but they significantly IMPROVED its construction in virtually every way, and in less than two hours. They literally took a mess and made it perfect in every way, and for a remarkably affordable price. I still get compliments on the jacket (pictured, literally ONE HOUR after Lynn fixed it up!). While I'll hopefully never have a similar emergency in the future, I can't recommend this place enough.

I messaged several tailors through yelp after 11pm and Mr. Doan answered less than 15 minutes later with a simple "bring it over". I received messages from 2 other tailors with disclaimers that I needed to be there as soon as they open and one even told me it would be an additional 20% fee for "rush work". I arrived at Elegant Tailor & Cleaners at 10:30 a.m. Mr. Doan looked at the dress, did some quick measurements & said "what time do you need it?". I told him by 3pm he said "ok, see you at 3". I arrived back to his shop around 2:45, my dress was done and if fit perfectly. The best part of all of this was the price. I was full expecting to pay some ridiculous amount for this perfect same day work and I didn't. He did awesome work at a fair price and now he has a new customer. I bragged about him to everyone at my event later that night becuase I was really in shock at the quality or work done quickly and affordably.
