Fast and quick service for a bridesmaid dress. Had to take length off; two layers and was under $75

I had high hopes for this place because I had a friend who had their wedding dress done and it was perfect. But i had terrible experience and I'm still trying to get everything fixed before the wedding next weekend. I dropped the dress off on 9/30. I initially said needed by 10/28 but I called back the same day and changed it to 10/24 because my mother in law was going to drive and take stuff up for us. I called on 10/22 to inquire about the status and they had to call me back like it wasn't able to be found. They called back and it had not been started yet. I said I had called back the same day it dropped it off and needed it in 2 days. Continued to argue that the ticket said 10/28. So Friday by 5pm was agreed upon. I arrive at 530 and it is still worked on. It was finished after 20 mins and tried on and the slit was not high enough so agreed to come back by 2pm the next day. I came back and the slit was perfect but I did notice the back shoulders the dress was sticking out. She was able to fix it on the spot while wearing it. But now I have another dilemma. There are several stains on the dress and now I'm having to get it dry cleaned. I'm already in a rush here. These stains were NOT there when I dropped it off. They are all over the dress. The look greasy and/or oily. You can clearly see the X where it was marked by the tailor. So now I am scrambling to get this done. I paid $187 and this is what I got. I ended up having to buy another dress overnight on Amazon and wore that. They waited to the last second to do this and it was too late and then dirty. Unacceptable. This not worth the money by a long shot. Go elsewhere. Update: they did not refund me anything or even offer to clean the dress. read more

I absolutely do not recommend this place. Not only do they require 100% cost up front before the alterations are completed, we recently spent well over $1,000 on alterations on dresses for my daughter's wedding. A huge mistake was made on a dress for my daughter and she was unable to even zip it up because it was too tight after the alterations. The dress was sized down too much. They tried to fix it by adding a panel to the sheathing on the sides, but the dress was not the same and didn't look right. My daughter understood the work that went into trying to make it right, but a mistake was made. She simply wanted half the alteration cost returned to her because she would not wear the dress the way it was and a MISTAKE was made. My family has been using Ann's Tailors for the last 15 years. We have referred several people to this place. It's a shame they will lose so much business over $65 to make my daughter feel at least that she was validated in the mistake that was made. read more

Hemmed a pair of pants and replaced the elastic drawstring in a different pair of pants. Drop it off, get measured, confirm pricing and alterations, come back in a few days to pick it up. Plain and simple, and very convenient. Thank you Ann's! read more

I recently took 4 skirts ghto have the elastic repla ed. We had several discussions about not just cutting g the skirt off at the waste and replacing the waste elastic Keeping the lable WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS REPAIR. I REPEATED THIS SEVERAL TIMES. So were the labels kept or put back on the skirts? NO!!!! This was important to me and I made it the major point of the discussion, even providing a skirt done incorrectly by another alteration co. I am beyond pissed that I paid 127.00 to have my wished ignored. THET DID NOT LISTEN OR CARE. I could not find a pair of shoes for the dress I am wearing to my friend's wedding. When I finally found the shoes this weekend, no one in Miami (I was visiting home) could cut my dress in time. I came back to Lake Mary on Saturday and searched reviews and all kinds of listings for a reliable tailor who could quickly help me cut the dress. None were open on a Sunday making it much more stressful! I had read that Ann's has accommodated people with a rush request so I woke up early this morning (Monday) and went straight there. I was quickly and sweetly greeted at the door by Ann herself and instructed to put on the dress and shoes. She helped me make a decision concerning the train of the dress and told me she could do it by the end of day. When I explained that my flight to Italy (where my friend is getting married) leaves this evening and that I live in Lake Mary making 5pm the WORST time to pick up the dress she couldn't agree more and said she would hate for me to stress and would get it done for me within the hour. I had no illusion that such a rush would not come at a great price but I would have never guessed that it would only be about $10 for rush service!!! Like what?!?! Only $10!!!!??? I was ready to pay $30 or more. An hour later my dress and another I had left for a quick fix were done and to perfection!!! I will never go anywhere else. I have so much appreciation and love for Ann and her ability to make such a stressful situation a walk in the park for me. I was planning a last minute elopement. I was able to get my dress from David's Bridal, but they would not be able to get it hemmed in the timeframe that I needed. They recommended Ann's Tailors and I had nothing to lose. I called the shop on Memorial Day and was fully expecting a voicemail, but was surprised to here Ann Marie greet me on the phone. Everything from hemming pants to taking dresses in and altering formal wear. Turn around on alterations is very quick, garments were always pressed and looking great when I picked them up. I got a suit and pant tailor here. The staff are very friendly here and knowledgeable. It's a very quick process to get measure and go. I was told that my clothes be ready in a week. However, I forgot and didn't pick it up til two weeks later. They never call me tho lol. I guess they were to busy. I do not recommend coming here. Originally I thought the time spent was rushy because of her being "professional" but after spending $100 on Alterations, I regret it fully. My dress was not done when I came back to pick up almost two weeks later due to her forgetting the main alteration of why I brought the dress in. After asking me to come back 4 days later so she could fix her mistakes-she had an attitude and treated me like I was the problem. I had her bring the front area in and she sowed everything on the outside of the dress so you saw all the threading. Not only that but she also charged extra to fix my back zipper- which still didn't zip when I left the second time. This dress is for my brothers wedding so you can imagine, I was beside myself. I luckily found a place that fixed everything for me. I'm not one to leave a bad review but I couldn't believe this happened to me. read more

Ann's is AMAZING! I needed my women's suit (jacket & pants) hemmed right away but I wasn't able to get to her place until after 7pm and Ann said not to worry and to come anyway. She told me to not rush and to be safe on the road...what a genuine, nice person! She had my suit ready the very next day and it was a perfect fit! I found a great top for my suit the next day and same scenario...she let me come in after 7pm and had it ready the next day. I don't know how she did it because it was a sequin top but she worked her magic!
