I dropped my dress off first week of February and 2 weeks later I came to pick it up and it wasn't ready for another few hours. The total for getting my dress hemmed was $80. It was a silk dress, not anything super thick or crazy. I also dry clean my work blazer, which costs about $20 and takes a week to get done. Another place I use to go to on Colonial only charges $8 for dry cleaning. The prices here are definitely higher than the average, almost double. I pay for the convenience because I am walking distance from the tailor, but if you are looking for average prices I would recommend another place.

The stains were just a bit to much to survive without cleaning our clothes that we wore on our trip into Orlando. From the time that I entered the laundromat to the time that I picked up our clothes, the staff was super nice. They were helpful and accommodating. We expected our laundry the next day, but was pleasantly notified that we could pick it up that afternoon. When I arrived, everything was ready: men's shirt was hung and the rest of the items were folded and placed in the travel bag that I left with them. And with all of that, the price we paid was really reasonable too. When in the area again, we will definitely return to Fast Fresh Laundry to correct our clothing mishaps.

They were cheaper and closer than another place I called so I packed up 3 large garbage bags of laundry and when they picked it up, they said it would probably be around $40. They make you put your credit card on file so I had no say when they actually charged me $61. First red flag. I was so happy to see everything nicely folded and in order, I didn't care they didn't follow my request to throw all my underwear into a pillowcase and not to fold it. However, when it got a little cold, I went to get my green robe and couldn't find it. I told the guy, he apologized and ran it over immediately. Still, not feeling well, another day I decide to nap and use my favorite blanket. Guess what? Not there. This time I wrote the guy and I said, you better search all around your laundromat and bring me everything you've kept or I will be really angry and you don't want to see me angry because I'm Irish. He immediately brought back my blanket AND an entirely other bag filled with all my towels! I can't decide if it's incompetence, thievery, or negligence, but I would suggest you only use that place if you have to. There's one lady who works there who is genuinely so sweet and always takes great care with everything I bring in. She's altered all kinds of pieces for me from dresses to pants, shorts, and jeans in all different fabrics and styles, and if something isn't doable she'll tell you honestly which I really appreciate. I usually go in for hems or to cinch things in and it always comes back fitting perfectly. There's a room to try things on. She's probably done about 20 items of mine at least. It's also super convenient having dry cleaning and alterations in one place and there's always easy parking right out front. Just a really reliable, no stress spot I highly recommend.

One of the dresses was returned to me more flawed than before. There are new stains on it that were never there before. Clearly their mistake. I have been actively dropping off my clothes here on a weekly basis for the past 2 years. Before that, I was hoping around downtown/Mills 50 trying out several places...in my humble opinion, most of the competition in town is overpriced and service is underwhelming. That is, until I stumbled upon City Dry Cleaners. It's quiet shop, parking lot is also usually slow or empty, which I love (considering just the busy lots all over E COLONIAL). The women inside is kind and always greets me with a warm smile. Prices are GREAT, you pay up front and you wait anywhere between 2-4 days for your clothes to be ready. They'll call you, but in addition to that...you also get a blue ticket with your items/date printed on it. If you don't have your ticket, a phone number works. My clothes are always free of stains, pressed and all around super fresh. I usually drop off my clothes within the appropriate turn around time to have them back to me. Therefore, I have never attempted to try out their next-day service. However, a dear friend of mine uses the service regularly and is over the moon satisfied. They refer everyone over to the Filipino women next door for alternations (FYI, she's wonderful and very talented - give her your business).
