after picking up a skirt from them. I asked for them to add 3 inches to my skirt when I got there my shirt was smaller then when I brought it to them. when I address the issue to them she had the audacity to tell me "I am a size 16 not a 12 we are the same size" why are you assuming my size? after I told her my correct size multiple times. when I have other skirts that are the same but different color that can zip up just fine and after she told me I don't have to pay if I don't like it she says she is leaving early because she has shingles THAT IS CONTAGIOUS !?!? why are you the only one working here?? now I have to give the skirt away because of this do not go to her she will throw accusations and assumptions. read more

I'm not someone who typically dry cleans so I wasn't even sure what the price range was supposed to look like. I called several places in the area to get a quote for a twin quilt. Nanak offered the best price by far. Literally talking $7-10 less than what was asked at all other businesses. Now, because they offered such a great price, I was willing to overlook the fluctuation in terms of their operating hours. Understand that the very kind owner seems to run the business with little help. I imagine she does a good portion of the work herself. She explained to me at drop off that she did need to close shop to accommodate her personal schedule sometimes. She was very communicative regarding when I could pick up, though. The job was done in the promised time and I was able to pick up next day. I recommend calling before you drop something off to ensure someone will be present. It's a small sacrifice to make considering the price can't be beat. If you want the highest level of convenience, go pay for it. If you want a quality job performance and are willing to be flexible, this is a great place. I will utilize for my future dry cleaning needs. My quilt came back better than it went in. read more

I understand we need to adjust with hurricanes and natural disasters, however if you are going to say that pick up is at a specific time, don't leave your customers SOL! We're going to a wedding in NC this weekend and we made sure to ask about pick up time. If you plan on closing early, please call your customers to let them know. It is extremely unprofessional to just close without letting your customers know, especially when it was confirmed this morning what time pick up needed to be. We planned to leave tomorrow evening and Nanak definitely won't be open tomorrow because of the hurricane, so to confirm pick up time so that the dress would be ready, PLEASE DON'T CLOSE EARLY OR CLOSE WITHOUT CALLING YOUR CUSTOMERS!! read more

I really like Nanak's customer service and their convenient location. It's really easy to stop here before work to pick up/drop off, esp with their drive through window. The owners are always super nice & respectful, and it's the main reason I keep coming back. For the most part, I have no complaints with their dry cleaning services. Their dry cleaning prices are relatively cheap, but I noticed they charge more for women's clothing (vs men's. My boyfriend takes his stuff there too). Sadly, I can't say the same about their alterations and timeliness. Their store is supposed to open at 7:30 am during the week. I've gone numerous times in the morning right when they open where I've had to wait until 7:45-7:50 until the owners get there to open the doors. Most recently, I left a dress there yesterday morning with one of their employees at ~7:46am in the parking lot because the owner was late again. I needed the dress repaired (small zipper closure reinforced in the back- nothing crazy) for a wedding in Colombia this weekend. I asked that it be ready no later than Weds PM because my flight leaves to Colombia for this Thurs AM. The dress was ready Weds AM (this repair realistically is something that would have taken 5 mins with a sewing machine), so the service was super quick. However, when I picked up the dress this morning, I paid $12.84 for a hand-sown, novice, sloppy job. I was already in a rush for work so I couldn't stay and wait for them to fix it. I couldn't leave the dress and pick it up after work because they are closed before I get home (and my flight leaves tomorrow morning). I understand my fault in this was waiting until the last minute, but I shouldn't have been charged for this because the job was that bad. I couldn't wear the dress like that, and I was forced to go to a different shop during my lunch break today to have the repair corrected to the way it should have been done in the first place. My husband took his $250 wedding jacket to get it dry cleaned so that way he would have it for future events. When we went to pick it up, the makeup stain that was there was worse as well as the overall color of the jacket was now grey ish. The woman there has been nothing but rude and unhelpful and we will never be going there again. read more

Dropped off a brand new work jacket for dry cleaning off on a Friday and it was ready for pick up by the next Monday. Quick service, cost me $8 and now I have my jacket ready for work. I was able to go through the drive through for the pick up which made it even easier. read more

Without asking me, they wrote our last name in all my husband's shirts with sharpie marker. Some of his shirts were custom at $250 a pop and now they're ruined. Very slow service as well. It shouldn't take a week to gets his shirts dry cleaned and lots of missing buttons. read more

Also they they did write my last name with a permanent marker at the bottom of the shirt. I don't understand why they need to damage customer's clothes just to get them cleaned. Pros: The owner is very friendly. They were 10 bucks cheaper than everyone else due to some sale price on downy comforters. Cons: I took my comforter in Monday. He said pick it up Wednesday. I looked at the ticket he gave me and it said pick it up Tuesday. I came Tuesday and noticed a sign that said if you dont pick it up on the designated day they charge you 2 dollars. I guess its good I double checked. Still a very nice guy so I didnt mind. Then I grabbed my comforter and ran out. I get home and it was totally flat. So I called him back. He said "Bring it back in and I will throw it in the dryer. I will give it back in an hour." I said I couldnt come till next week. Thats fine he said. My boyfriend takes it back and they say they havta give it back 3-4 days later - what the hell. So now Im irritated. On top of that, he didnt get all the stains out. Then I go to pick it up AND it's still halfway flat. I told him it was fine and left because, at this point, I had already driven twice to pick up a comforter that should have already been taken care of. Also, he seemed overworked. He appeared to be the only one there every time I came in so I had to wait for him to do the drive-thru window, answer the phone and talk to me all at once. He needs help. So, its cheaper and he's very nice but go somewhere else. EDIT: I saw the owner responded and said it was very old and that I should have talked to them. I took the same comforter to a dry clear on Bumby, by Drunken Monkey, and they got it back to me super fluffy and with no stains. Also, after I complained twice to you that is talking to you. After 2 times, a customer doesnt really want to deal with it anymore. read more

I'm originally from WP and have moved away. However, the past two weeks I've been back to Orlando for weddings, and I must say this cleaners is absolutely one of the worst I've ever been to. First, this cleaner is notorious for writing your name on the bottom of the shirt in black permanent marker. Next, I've needed some shirts cleaned and pressed and the owners have been less than helpful when it comes to cleaning my garments. First time I brought my shirts here the owner (lady) argued with me telling me that the stains on my shirts were old (even though they were all less than 2 days set in). Then when I asked that if the stains couldn't be removed one the first wash, to please try and re-wash the garments 1-2 additional times (I ask this because the cleaners I use back home does this for grease or set in stains and 9.9/10 times the stains come out). She proceeded to tell me that they don't usually do this and that this request would require keeping my shirts for an additional 2 days after the quoted due date. I agreed to this as I needed the shirts pressed and cleaned for an event later that week. When I got the clothes back the stains had not been removed. Lastly, I returned a week later (as I had another event in Orlando) and hoping that the past experience was just an off day for the owners I brought a shirt with stains that had set in the previous night (I get it I'm clumsy and a messy eater :-/ ). When I brought the shirts in and asked to pick up the shirt the following day I was greeted with rudeness and an unsympathetic response. I explained that I had a wedding the next day and that they were the only cleaners I trusted. She explained that there was nothing she could do and proceeded to tell me that I could leave it and pick it up 3 days later. When I proceeded to plead she went into the back to speak with her "cleaner" to see if I could be accommodated. She came back and told me that there was nothing they could do. I was upset not because my shirt couldn't be cleaned in a rush but because there was zero customer service given especially as she is the proprietor of the business. I took the shirt to "Dry Cleaner Plus" on Semoran Blvd across from the Buffalo Wild Wings. The owner there explained that I was too late to get the shirt cleaned but offered me a solution. He explained that shirt could be washed using regular detergent, and applying Shout stain remover along with oxyclean to the stains. He said once I cleaned the shirt he would be glad to press it for me. I followed his suggestion and the shirt looks better than new. read more

We moved into a house with lovely drapery, but was probably from the original designer when the house was built and we think were never cleaned. The draperies and sheers covered the full length of a very large Living room, plus, the Dining room. We looked on-line and in the yellow pages for anyone that would clean custom draperies in our home, and the only one in the Orlando area was Nanak Cleaners. Surinder, the owner, gave us a fair price took the shears to his shop for dry cleaning and returned to hand clean the draperies. What a difference, they look like new! He was so thorough, and very respectful of our home and furnishing. We felt like he was a dear friend. Dry cleaning service was okay, but they used black marker to write my name in all my dress shirts. Not sure if it's permanent but not risking washing It off. I've never had a dry cleaner do that. They could have told me that's their policy before writing in all my dress shirts. Don't know what they were thinking but not going back if they're going to ruin all my nice clothing. read more

Hands down the best, friendliest dry cleaners I have been to. The owner knows you by name and by sight within 2 visits. Really affordable and always gets things back to me within 2 days. Even rescued a pair of my husband's work pants that I accidentally ran through the wash. And when I called begging him to stay open a few minutes late so we could pick up some clothes before a trip, he said no problem! I have been taking my clothes to Nanak Cleaners since the 1980s and highly recommend them. They do a great job at a reasonable price and are a pleasure to do business with. Surinder knows all of his customers by name, works hard, and is always cheerful. Although they are busy (good businesses are!), I have never had to wait more than 3-4 minutes for service and never heard of a $2 penalty for picking up after the day they are promised (as a previous poster wrote). I have been a customer there for about 12 years now. I started going there when I lived nearby but have kept going back even when I moved to Winter Springs for 2 years. Only once in that time have I ever found anything wrong with my clothes and he was more than happy to try to get a stain I was unfamiliar with out. As it was an old shirt so I can't honestly say it didn't come from me. In either case, he took the shirt back and tried an overnight soak in spot remover. When it still didn't get the stain out, he offered to try a different treatment but I opted just to toss the shirt out. As I said, it was old. I love the fact that he has his own machines on site. I always know where my clothes are and who is handling them. There's no chance of something being lost with Nanak Cleaners. :-D read more
