bought a 9K bike from them, it was shipped fast but once i got it the bike was not ride-ready. i had to take it to a shop BEFORE i could ride it. the sealant had dried in the tires, once i let the manager know about this, he offer to send me a bottle of sealant as a solution LOL!! and stated that the bikes were assembled at the manufacturer and they didnt check much after it. this is my 6th bike i get online and the worst experience with a retailer. If you love bikes. I mean really psycho. A psychlist. This is your place. WPC stocks some really high-end stuff and can get just about anything that is worth getting. The best part, however, is that as much as they know bikes, that is also how much they know about how to treat a customer. There, you will find great mechanics, knowledgeable sales and management, and pleasant, professional conversation. One of the things they do when you buy a bike from them is offer basic adjustments after the sale. I had an issue that I probably caused, and they fixed it while I waited and didn't charge me, like it was a basic adjustment. That's the type of thing that will get me to grab some tires and a helmet while I'm there instead of going online. Highly recommended. read more

Best pro shop in Orlando with an amazing staff who are experts on all things cycling.

I needed to get two tubes put in my bike which had been sitting dormant for a few years. It was a Saturday and called a few cycle places. WP Cycles were the only ones that said "yeah, come on it" The others said it would take a couple of days. I know it's an easy service I could do myself but I just didn't want to. I took my boke to WP cycles and was in and out in about 20 minutes. Price was fair! I will use them again. I'm just an average biker btw, but it looks like they had some really high end bikes and gear for sale if you are a legit pro. read more

I had a single spoke replaced on my wife's bike today. While it appears the repair has been done well the cost was $32 including tax. I shared that a single spoke replaced on my wife's bike done 3 months earlier at Orange Cycle on the other wheel was $22 including tax. When I was there they had Pinarello, Scott, Orbea, Kuota, Look, Eddy Merckx, ...etc They took their time to make sure I had the bike that I wanted, even encouraged me to test bikes at other shops. It had been way too long since we had had our bikes serviced (like never) and the place where we bought them isn't even there anymore so we were on a quest to find a place to go. Since we have Giant brand bikes we looked online for a shop that carry's them and luckily we found Winter Park Cycles. We are by no means cycling fanatics. We like to toodle about on the local trails and ride back and forth to lunch on a nice day. Going into any serious shop can be a bit intimidating. But we were immediately at ease here. The salesperson 'Tick' was very friendly and happy to answer our questions. As he said: "It's not what you ride, it's that you ride". The service here was thorough, efficient and reasonably priced. From the start, I was very impressed with this bike shop. I have been to every bike shop on the East side of town and all have their pros and cons. This shop seemed to cater to more high end bikes, but luckily they had a lower bike I was interested in. I called ahead to see if they had a Scott Aspect 640 in stock and they had just gotten the box that day. They said they would install it and I could test ride it in an hour. When I came to the shop, the bike was waiting for me. The price was originally $740 but after debating on whether I should get a Specialized Hardrock Sport Disc or the Scott, the salesman took off $40. I was sold and bought it on the spot. The bike store offers 1 year adjustments for free which is always a plus. I use the bike for pedicab purposes and even stated ahead of time that it would be used in that manner. Using a bike for pedicab purposes is EXTREMELY stressful on a bike! Recently I had let someone else borrow my bike, and unfortunately he ended up dropping the bike on the derailleur side. This had bent the rear hanger. I called to see if they had a new hanger in stock, and lucky for me they did. And it was cheaper than online prices. I took the bike in to make its the right piece and to also get the rear wheel trued. When my bike was placed on the stand, they noticed that the hub was actually a little loose. I left the bike with them to tighten the hub (which was one that I upgraded), true the wheel, and install the hanger. I got a call a bit later stating they discovered a crack in the frame. I was sad by that news but they said they would try to warranty the frame through Scott. Sure enough they were able to replace the frame for free(even though the damage was caused by carelessness). My frame was a different color but that was because Scott did not have my color in stock. After a week and a half later, I got a call stating that my bike was repaired. Thanks to the awesomeness of Winter Park Cycles, I did not have to pay a cent to repair my bike. These guys did a great job of taking care of me. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop. read more

I recently brought in a bike to Winter Park Cycles to have it assembled as I am not mechanically inclined in any way!! I called on the phone to get an estimate before taking my bike in and they were very reasonably priced so dropped the bike off for assembly. I was greeted by a very courteous and attentive staff and the store is larger than it appears from outside. Everyone was very helpful and my bike was ready for pick up the following day. One bike store gave this store some bad review and I asked why. I didn't quite believe him simply because almost all stores back up what they sell (I know, it is a policy thing). I always frequent the area (Corrine) because I deliver car parts to a shop nearby. I guess it is fate that I sort of messed up one of my brifters while I was trying to replace the cables. I thought this is an opportunity for me to prove the other competitor's claim whether it is true or not. I took the brifter (brake/shifter combo) for repair and the bike tech (my apologies for forgetting his name) came out to take a look at it. He took it inside and came back out within two minutes with my brifter already fixed. I asked him if he can put new cables and he did so quickly. He even invited me inside to watch how he does it and give me some pointers along the way. Now here's the kicker: As I handed the other guy manning the register my charge card to pay for it, the tech interrupted and said, it's okay, no charge. Of course they will charge me for other services but with this experience, I know I will always get reasonable fee or price for whatever bike needs OR wants I have.
