I turn on the shower and realized it was not warming up. Went downstairs to check the circuit breaker and what do you know, the breaker was tripped. Cutting it on solved my problem right? Ehhhhh nah. I called Roto-Rooter first (see my review for them) and they kept pushing my time out till the point that it was nighttime. I didn't feel comfortable with that so I canceled with them and called Ridgeway the next morning. The technician was very timely (he actually got to my house before I did and he didn't mind one bit), very friendly and professional. He explained to me that one of my elements in my water heater had corroded and suggested that if he replaced one he might as well replace the other one. That was a good move because both of them looked like someone spilled battery acid on them. He also explained to me that my water heater was manufactured in 2004. I moved in my brand new house in 2007 and I wondered why I had an issue with that water heater in 2008. Horrible (Georgia construction laws are horrible). So needless to say my water heater is already 8 years old. SMH Anyway it took him less than a hour to complete the work and he informed me that if the water heater started acting up again I could call him back and he would replace the heater minus part of the cost of the elements so I wouldn't be out so much money. I thought this was really nice. My lesson learned here is to go with smaller, non-chain companies. You get a better experience overall. I'm sure I would have been PISSED by time Roto-Rooter got finished (and my pockets way lighter) I will continue to use them in the future!

They did work NOT to code and did NOT explain the implications to me. They later accused me of not being willing to pay which is NOT the case at all. Furthermore, they did not properly set up the gas pipe in the crawl space, and it resulted in a very dangerous gas leak while still under warranty. I had had a previous bad experience with them where they charged me over $600 to run a camera to the toilet where they misdiagnosed the issue. I hired another plumbing company to deal with the REAL issue. Because I had had a negative experience with them already, I called another plumbing company to repair the gas leak - Reliable is professional and in integrity. When I tried to seek resolution from the owner Matt Zurn, he was completely disrespectful and insulting. I would steer away from this unprofessional company at all costs. They are not to be trusted.

That's $1183 total, before any work was actually done to resolve the clog (because it would involve going under slab). I found out after getting estimates from 5 other local plumbers that they do not charge for line location; that it's seen as standard and part of the job--you don't cut through slab without making sure where the lines are. I'm not sure if the plumber was aware of this but I wrote an email to explain what I found and asked for a credit. I am following up on the email and will leave this here because currently this reflects my sadness and disappointment at what happened. To be fair--Britt responded quickly to the call, and was very good about following up--and he did a reasonable quote for the slab work/replacement portion. However I just couldn't figure out why he would charge me so much for locating the line if that's something other plumbers are not charging extra for, especially such a high amount. As a new homeowner I didn't know and I was overcome with panic so I just paid it. I will update this review if they refund me.

Hampton Restoration comes out and attempts to file a fraudulent claim with my homeowners insurance for $20,000. Turns out I didn't have a plumbing problem. My carpet was wet because I had a hole in my roof. Atlanta plumbing lied because they were in on the fraud attempt. The fraud didn't work. I got my roof fixed and the carpet is now dry.

Of course the three emergency 24/7 plumbers we had on the fridge had no one available. Then we found Plumb Xpress. They came out that night (Saturday) and worked through the weekend to get us back up and running. My house was built in the 40's and had the original orangeburg lines. They moved quickly at doing what they said they were going to do. Mitch installed a tankless water heater for us. He did a great job at getting that tankless done and might I say it is very neatly done. when the team finished they cleaned up, doubled checked behind themselves loaded up there tools. Mitch even let me program our new Rinnai RXP199i tankless through via the Rinnai app. I sent pictures of the job to one of our neighbors. They are now interested in a tankless install. I contacted Mitch and hopefully they will link up. All this to say Mitch and his team did an excellent job and I will be referring Holy Water Plumbing to my neighbors and friends. Awesome job guys!

I've been using Skyline Plumbing for 10 years and have never had anything but positive experiences…read more Prices are fair, service is reliable, friendly plumbers and office workers, and they're very thorough in making sure your plumbing issue is resolved. When they identify another costly issue which may cause problems down the line, such as a partial failure in a septic field, they don't turn the appointment into an aggressive sales job, rather just offering an honest assessment of where things currently stand and the problems which could arise without action. They may not advertise on every billboard and sports field in the community like some of their competitors but, to me, relying on word of mouth for business is something only a company confident in their product or service can pull off. I highly recommend Skyline.

A rental property was having issues with the drain line. We started at the septic tank to have it…read moreemptied. I received a call from the technician, on-site, to find out they were going to charge me another $400 to dig up the tank. Keep in mind the original quote was for $325. They ended up charging $450 more to dig up the lid. They were using a mini-excavator so the work was simple and there should have been a minimal up-charge, at best. The technician was very nice and easy to deal with, but the company policy for pricing that type of work is ridiculous. We've used Skyline a good bit in the past, even for drain field lines on another property but will NOT use them again. They have been bought out by a larger company and don't have reasonable prices any more. I felt over a barrel and taken advantage of to do the work. The company that bought Skyline has also bought Hamby's Septic, another once very good septic company. Buyer beware!
