Dr McManus was able to get me in for an appointment within 48 hours. My appointment was late in the day but that did not keep him from completing a very thorough examination. Over the course of my first visit along with 3 additional appointments and fittings, he made several suggestions for the care of my eyes and adjustments to my current prescription. The most significant change was a large reduction in power. I've now been fitted with new properly fitting contact lenses and glasses with an accurate prescription. You may think that 3 or 4 visits sound excessive. However, my previous optician had me wearing lenses that were so inaccurate that it took several weeks for my eyes to settle down enough to be accurately assessed. I could not be happier with the care and service Dr McManus and his team provided. I am telling everyone I know about my fantastic experience. If you are looking for a professional, truly caring optometrist who is not just out to sell you the latest fad or process you through some assembly line, I would highly recommend that you make an appointment. It's refreshing to know that you can still find a great doctor with years of experience right around the corner.

The atmosphere, has a very "old school" vibe, in the sense, that customers seem to be appreciated, & valued. This is quite unlike other establishments, that treat patrons like "cattle" to be moved along & "processed" as quickly as possible, just to take their hard earned money. I only go to the Tilton vision center, even though it's 30+ miles out of town. I'm proud to patronize & support practitioners, who treat people decently. The Vision center in the Gilford Walmart, is the complete opposite of the Tilton one. I don't go there anymore, even though it's much closer.

The male optometrist and a female assistant were there together when I introduced myself and asked for help. The assistant looked over at the Optometrist for what seemed to be his approval to help and he said "Go ahead, help him and send him on his way" and he walked into the back room. I was reluctant to stay after his remark but needed the adjustment and the assistant was seemed nice and willing to help. She did a good job and helped me considerably. But I will not go back in there again.
