If you've read my previous reviews, you know that I travel for business and pleasure. There is nothing worse than having a medical emergency on the road - and it's never happened to me during a work trip.
A previously unknown cracked tooth way back in my big mouth was causing immeasurable, unforgiving, maddening pain while on a quick one day work trip to Meredith, NH and Kittery, Maine. The pain was extraordinary and I wasn't sure how I was going to make it through the short out-and-back. It was recommended by a pharmacist that I visit the local hospital walk in clinic about 18 miles away. It was close enough and I thought I could get in and out before my first scheduled event. The pharmacist technician chimed in and recommended a dental office "just up the hill" called Circle Dental (it's located adjacent to a traffic circle, go figure). I rejected the idea because 1) I couldn't understand the directions that were provided because "just up the hill" in New Hampshire carries many meanings; 2) dentists don't take walk-ins. I hit the road to speed my way to the local hospital.
It winds up that Circle Dental was in fact just up the hill and very close to the pharmacy. I passed it on the way to the hospital and decided to circle back (pun intended) to give it a shot since it was right there.
Success. The kind receptionist took my health coverage information, spoke to the dental assistant and in ten minutes I was sitting in the dentist chair having xrays taken. Ten minutes later, Dr. Fleury enters and does an examination of the areas of complaint. Both the assistant and doctor were compassionate, understood that I was not local and in a rush, and absolutely accommodating.
Dr. Fleury explained the problems he saw, provided various courses of action, and was willing to clear time that morning to help address the problems. Unfortunately, my schedule was simply too tight for the type of work that needed to be done. The doctor prescribed medication to address the pain and ward off possible infection and I went on my way.
I can't speak to the doctor's endodontic or oral surgery skills because we didn't get that far, but I can speak to his outstanding customer service and the warmth of the staff who assisted a traveler in need. read more
