I paid for four months in advance for her coaching at a rate of 595$ per month. Because I was extremely depressed in my job at the time, I missed out on going to two months of coaching sessions. This is to be up front and direct that my review is based on going to only two months of sessions with Lauren. I did not "schedule and cancel" any appointments - but rather did not schedule the sessions at all. I understood that she would still take the payment, but for her to accept $1,200 in fees when her client was depressed and underwater felt a bit unethical in my point of view - and I just want to share it for others who might be interested in seeking real help for their struggles - that these are the terms and conditions you sign up for. The actual coaching sessions were quasi-helpful, but I really did not receive support or any actionable steps to analyzing my own situation. The parting advice I got from Lauren was "Think and sit for a while with what you are good at and what you like to do, and go from there." She also went through my values - having me highlight things from both of these columns. I've gained so much more from people like Tim Ferriss or Tony Robbins or Gretchen Rubin -- and those services are things that are offered for free. Tim Ferriss, in particular, offers an 80-20 analysis that is most useful for anyone who is struggling. I am now in a dream job overseas and am working hard to do right by it, but the experience with Lauren stuck with me. I really wanted to share this with others so they can make a more informed decision when they are struggling in choosing the right career for them.
