This is a big store. It is clean. They had good sales an bogo items. They had fresh collard an black eyed peas. Ham hocks in stock too. What I like is that they will split meat packages an extra wrap for a freezer. I bought salmon, and pork . I think their rib eyes are great a you can get them thick or thin. I don't live close but always stop if in area. read more

Bought a Cajun shrimp in the SEAFOOD Dept At #WINN-DIXIE - I ate one of the shrimp on top and found a large (dead)fly underneath it. I was so disgusted by it. It made me puke!!! When I called the place to complain, the night time manager DENNIS told me to bring it in and he will refund the #HEALTHVIOLATION food that was sold to me. What cause me to share this on Yelp is the lack of care and sympathy offered by the manager and acted like it's sheer normalcy for the grocery store to have #INSECTINFOOD sold to people. Winn-Dixie is growing on me. I use to think it was pricier than Publix, but their sales are great! They have a bigger seafood section, but a smaller butcher section that the local nearby Publix. They do not seem to have as much fruit as Publix, but that could depend on the time of year. Their deli and bakery section look pretty good. I like shopping here and they have my favorite sweet bread in the bakery. I may be shopping here more. We will see. It is also open on Easter. Publix was not, but I know they are usually open! read more

If I could rate zero stars, I would. This is sad. I've been coming here for years. This is the third time that this had happened to me. Yesterday when I was trying to get waters and little snacks for my little ones because of the hurricane, I was racially profiled by an employee under the name WENDY. Lady that is short with blonde hair with bad attitude. I wanted to do two separate transactions, one under my credit card one under my debit card and I did my first transaction to pay for water first so seconds after when I got done paying for water, WENDY came by and asked for my receipt and I was confused? I have not yet started begin scanning for my other items because the machine was stillprocessing on to the new screen when you are about to scan again...so I gave her my receipt and then WENDY proceeded to asked if I was going pay for the rest of the items???? Now, WENDY was eyeing us in the beginning. It was me and my other coworker. And my coworker informed me of this. When other customers were checking out, she kept being close to our station for no reason. Because after she got done, helping assisting with another customer, she went straight to our station after I got done paying for the waters. She proceeded to put red stickers on top of my waters, as if they're security at the entrance and exit of Winn-Dixie like be serious. I did not see her put any red stickers on anybody else's waters, alcohol privileges, soda, juice, etc. this is getting out of hand Winn-Dixie. I am very highly disappointed of your hospitality. I am very disappointed on how I was treated personally there and there is no reason that you need high profile a person because they got done with the transaction in seconds and then ask for the receipt and proceeded to ask if I was continuing to pay for items that was still in my cart. I am very baffled of this situation. Winn-Dixie needs to do proper training on their employees. And I have been doing this for years. I have made multiple separate transactions before in the self check out lined and nobody has ever stopped to see my receipt as if I was stealing do better WENDY get proper training on customer service and when someone is stealing instead of wasting your time on people that actually pay for their stuff and someone could've been stealing right behind us. Learn when people are creating separate transactions instead of making assumptions. read more

First Big Big Thank you to your most perfect ELI. I came to your store with a dilemma. I could not find helium to buy and Publix was out as well as they do not blow up outside balloons brought in. Eli helped me blow up tie and get the 26 balloons filled for my baby shower that was two hours from starting. I can't tell you how impressed I was spending 20 to 30 minutes talking to this college graduate. He is an exceptional employee with a bright future. You are one lucky company to have on your hands such a phenomenal customer service person. Hopefully he stays with you guys for a long time to come. Went to the Winn Dixie and waited at the meat market as two employees sat there eating chocolate covered strawberries. After 15 minutes waiting BRIANNA came up to us saying that the meat market was closed. It was 7PM so we went and asked for a manager who then said the meat market was opened. I went to your website in the Wesley Chapel area to order online. It would not allow me to go in. I tried several times but their website kept on coming back me with an error message saying it was a "Bad Request." Then tried calling the store number but the canned reply kept on going on a loop and would not allow me to enter the department number (4 for Meat). Gave up after several tries. I can't tell you in strong enough words avoid this store if you want fast service at fair a price. I live very close so now and then I try it. Now I already know it is much more expensive than others in the area, but on my last visit they only had 2 checkouts open at 4pm. I just put the few things in my cart back & walked out. Convince is worth a higher price at times, but waiting in long lines is a deal breaker. Publix, Aldi & Costco are all very close and a much better option read more

I like that this location is easily accessible and that it is clean. The facility was remodeled last year and it the staff is keeping up with it. I like to shop for my beef here because it was always seems fresh. Unfortunately, I don't like to go into this facility alone because of one single employee. He works in the freezer section and r every time into the store he sees me. After that it's a wrap he find any excuse to talk to me and has even touched me. The way he stairs is really creepy and it makes me so uncomfortable. I don't like being rude to people so I just quickly scurry away. The store manager Richard is THE WORST! Only cares about himself! A lady got into a accident in the parking lot here and he basically told her he wasn't going to do anything about, give a statement, or give her the video to help her unless the police got involved. I was just at a store and while using the self checkout I felt personally target by one of your employees. After I paid for the products she demanded my receipt and counted each item on my cart to make sure I had paid for the things. I don't have a problem with employees looking out for a company, I don't mind really that they check my receipt; however, the fact that she counted EVERYTHING in my cart and only mine is concerning. I don't like to make a scene since I was with my little brother and I had other things to do, but I find that unacceptable and really targeting. I have to say that up until that point my experiences at that store had been positive. I feel insulted and honestly a little profiled. read more

This is an okay win Dixie. It is clean and seems to be well stocked when I come in. The only issue I have is the limited number of cashier to check you out. Every single time I come like today, you wait an eternity just to leave the place even if it is a few items. If a cashier makes a mistake and scanned something twice why do I have to go to customer service and waste my time dealing with the 15 year old girl with an attitude. I'm sure it could be worse, but it's pretty bad in comparison to all the other grocery stores in the area. The staff is not friendly and it's dim and depressing in there. Even the price read out at the cash register is nowhere near the chip reader, so if you don't realize, you need to turn your head to the opposite direction to see your total before swiping your card. Otherwise you're committing to pay before you've confirmed your total. I'm looking forward to a Publix or any other grocery store taking it's spot in the plaza someday. read more

This store is horrible ever since they changed to Winn-Dixie. Dirty, deli breaks down as early as 530pm. If you complain to the Managers they just Say sorry and walk away. Last time I called the corporate office to complain and they hung up. Check the dates on everything there they are not afraid to sell expired food. It is really sad because it used to be a nice neighborhood store and now it is just horrible. Even the employees hate working there!!! read more

Not my first choice but I occasionally have to stop by this location on my way home from work. Seems like EVERY time I am there they NEVER have enough cashier lines open. This is my last choice of grocery stores but the closest to my home. It has gotten cleaner within the last year and the employees have actually started acknowledging my existence. When I'm at the register, I still get the occasional check out girl flirting with the bag boy situation but it's been less often. The deli food is disappointing. There are times they lure me in with their ads but am quickly reminded why I don't frequent the store. I was in a rush, so I went today and it was a good visit. We went into the liquor store, this is the second time I have been into the store. I've had an incredibly long day and extremely tired. My friend and I came in looking for something to help us relax on a Friday night. Sadly, I felt quickly judged by the cashier. After biting into yet another piece of spent produce I'm finally swearing off this chain. The crew is a sad bunch and I can't blame them. Horrible management = horrible service.
