I gave them 5 stars for trying, but with every business they're are some flaws. Cons: - small parking lot - small interior - felt more like a sports bar that you can bring your dogs then a "dog bar" - no food Overall, super friendly staff! I would return if there is a live sport that I would want to watch with friends. They have board games and arcade games which was a plus. It was just too loud to play inside.

    Drink menu, food truck menu.

Hannah is great teaching me the pup ropes. Come watch the game and let your pooch enjoy life! The green turf was made to be peed and pooped on- they have an awesome staff to help with that. THERE IS A SMELL BUT- I don't own a dog and I can get used to it. The bathroom, so cold, clean, and smells of sweet heaven. The double gates promote security while rumors spread of idiot humans not understanding their use. Food trucks provide the satisfying fair for any craving as per code- food can't be produced amongst pooches. I just learned the proper term for ice: water biscuits. These friendly hounds just love 'em!

Best dog ever enjoying a beautiful day at her favorite bar.

Best dog bar in Tampa. Friendly and low key. Great place to watch games and let your fur friends play. Bartenders are awesome and the owner is a veteran. I'm here a couple times of week and my dogs love it. Free to bring your own food or have something delivered.

Why four stars? Overall we thought this place was very nice and I think their drinks menu is very creative. I think after an hour and a half of running around and swimming at a nearby dog beach our dog with a little too pooped to play with the other dogs but the dogs had friendly interactions and could run around with each other which is very nice. I love the idea that the dogs can run around and be themselves while the owner can sit and sip on some drinks. I will say the play area did not really have a lot for the dogs to do rather just to run around so I didn't see too much of the dogs could do rather than just have free roam of the place. I like that the place is willing to clean up and they have tons of water buckets around for the dogs to drink out of. This is our first time at a dog bar and it was a pretty nice atmosphere. The staff were very nice and friendly.

Currently on a quest to explore all the dog bars in the tampa Bay Area and this one did not disappoint. We went for "yappy hour" which featured $3 wells, $4 wines, and $3 domestic drafts on Friday until 7 PM...can't beat that! The location is in soho a bit down the strip from the main action so you can partake in or avoid that craziness however you choose. The parking lot is pretty small so keep that in mind for busier days. The building has cute signage both inside and out. When you enter there is a cover charge for dogs which is typical for dog bars. I believe here was ~10 or if you plan on coming regularly you can opt for a membership package. Entry was easy enough, come with vaccine records as instructed on their website. My doggy is a bit shy around big dogs so we snagged a table in the corner that way she could sit protected and wander out as she chose. Love that there is an inside area so humans and dogs alike can sit in the AC/rain protection. The inside and outside is covered in nice turf and they always have employees monitoring for areas needing cleanup/watching the rough housing. Service at the bar was great. We enjoyed the card/board games they had available to play (what do you meme, etc.). Looking forward to coming back for one of their events like trivia or a sports game.

My friend hosted a birthday party for her pup here, which is such a cool thing that Pups Pub does! It was my first time going to a dog bar, so I was excited to check it out. Overall, it was a fun concept. I have a sighthound/whippet, so he can never be off leash. I'm always nervous about bringing him new places when I don't know exactly what the exclosure looks like. I was relieved to know that the enclosure looked very secure and that there is a double gate at the entrance. However, it seems like some guests would forget to close the first gate as they were coming and going. This left only one gate that could be pushed open by one of the dogs accidentally. My suggestion is for one of the staff members to stand at the entrance at all times and really ensure that both gates are always securely closed, especially since Pups Pub is located right on a busy road! The bar was also fairly crowded with almost no one wearing masks, so it doesn't seem like they enforce mask wearing. I definitely want to come back and check it out again once the pandemic settles down, because it really is a fun concept! I love being able to bring my pup places with me, especially to a place that specifically welcomes dogs and has their safety in mind.

Best place to bring your dog!!!!!! One of the smartest concepts ever, getting to drink while your dog gets to run around and play. Also having a FULL liquor bar is such a plus! (I know other dog bars in the area do not). You can also throw a birthday party for your dog which the staff decorates and provides the best service, can't recommend this place enough!

My gf and I currently don't have a dog but she loves dogs. She gives it 5 stars. When i asked her if she had anything to say on the review, "lots of dogs" was her response. Only downside is the parking situation. Small parking lot, and street parking only. Other than that we both enjoyed.

Pups pub has become our regular go to during the week and weekends! The owners and bartenders are absolutely awesome. It's an open concept with a/c and an outdoor area for the pups. The employees are super quick to clean up and watchful over the dogs playing. There's plenty of cocktails and beer to sip while your dog plays and runs around. There's usually food trucks which have always been fun and delicious. Our dog cannot contain his excitement when we pull up and he always has a great time. I feel super safe bringing my dog, the employees are really great about cleaning and making sure all the dogs are safe and comfortable. We became annual members our second visit. This place is awesome for you and your pups! Great place to watch sports too!

Took my pup here for the first time to get some energy out. Very limited parking area. We had to drive around the block 2 or 3 times to snag a spot when someone left. Make sure you bring proof of vaccinations upon arrival! You can pay a daily, monthly or yearly membership fee to grant access. All the flooring both indoor and out is artificial turf so your pup never gets dirty yet can use the restroom as they please. There is one main bar that is half indoor and outside. We sat at the bar (plenty of seating and tables both inside and out) and had a drink while the dogs roamed freely. There are TVs and a few arcade games throughout the facility. One disappointment was that they do not offer any (human) food whatsoever. There was a BBQ food truck parked on the side which was very limited menu wise. You can however order food delivery to be brought to you.

My husband and I recently took our 1 year old dog to Pups Pub! We were so pleasantly surprised! When you first arrive there is a little window to your right to pay which is not necessarily noticeable right away. This is where you give information about your dog and pay for your dogs entrance fee. They did a great job of having multiple gates with latches at the front of the complex so that dogs don't escape. Once inside both indoor and outdoor areas are accessible for the dogs and completely covered in Astroturf. The most surprising part was when your dog uses the restroom (which is bound to happen) the employees were very quick to jump to the rescue and clean up any messes! At most dog bars and other places we have been with our dog it is the expectation that the owners picks it up or cleans up any messes. The workers at Pups Pub reassured us that this was part of their job! It was so sweet! They had a full bar including liquor but no food available on site. However, it was very easy to order Uber eats right to where we were. They also have many Instagram worthy photo spots throughout the location. Our dog had an absolutely amazing time and we will definitely be back!

We took my pup Elphaba (Elphie) to the dog park side for her 3rd Birthday (adoption day since we don't know the exact date). She came to live with us 2 years ago when she found us on our visit to the Tampa Bay Humane Society! We didn't go to the human side of the park but we saw a decent crowd there and a lot of families. All of the park is quite shady which is nice in Florida. COVID: It was outdoors but if you are worried, there wasn't a mask in sight. There were large groups of people under the pavilion sitting together with no masks. We just stayed away from there. Everyone in the dog park side was completely socially distanced from each other, so no worries on that side. The park could use a little refresh and the biggest problem I found is there is no separation for small dogs. My dog is 9 lbs and she was in the park with dogs who weighed up to 100 lbs and were much larger. At one point I had to rescue her since she was the only small dog and the other dogs began to chase her, flipping her over, and stepping on her. They didn't mean to hurt her but they did by playing too rough for her size. They also need to add more grass if it's possible. Your dog is going to be pretty dirty after a visit since there's a lot of dirt area and very little grass. Otherwise, it's still a great place and it's nice to have a spot to take your dog where he or she can run around and have fun. There are plastic bags at the front gate for you to clean up after your dog. Everyone we saw did so and I never saw any doggy poop in the park area. They have a little, plastic pool you can fill up with water and a couple of dog bowls out for water as well. We spent about an hour to hour and a half there celebrating Elphie's Bday! We shared some peanut butter doggy cheesecake and birthday dog treats with the other visitors and had fun meeting people and their dogs from afar! I'm very grateful to have a dog park close by!

Most streets in the area only allow for parking on one side so be sure to be mindful of this and check the posted signs. It seems that most people who make use of the park live on the neighborhood and everyone I have encountered is very nice. Although I have not actually gone into the other part of the park beyond the dog play area, there is a fenced in area which is good for small gatherings. There are picnic tables under a shelter and a public restroom. There is also a grassy, fenced in area which is suitable to play catch, soccer, or tag or whatever your heart desires. There is also a basketball court and children's' playground play set in addition to a (basic) charcoal grill. The dog park area is fenced and has somewhat sandy ground. There are trees and areas of shade and picnic benches. In the center there is a water station with hoses and water bowls for your four-legged loves. Doggie waste bags are well stocked whenever I've been there. The area can be a bit bug ridden in the evening so it may be smart to cover your skin or wear bug repellent if you have sweet blood. Whenever I bring my dog Sophia she has a marvelous time interacting with other dogs and people. There is plenty of space for her to get her insane amount of energy out. This is one of my favorite dog parks.

We followed the Google map directions, and we ended up parking just about as far away from the dog park as one can park (if you don't want to circumnavigate the lake, enter the Interbay Little League area off MacDill, and follow the signs to the dog run parking lot). There's a well-kept, paved path around the lake, and there are a few benches here and there to rest and look at the water. The path is not shaded, so be forewarned. The dog park is pretty nice. There are three fenced areas: one for small dogs, one for regular dogs, and one that is for more aggressive dogs. We went into the largest area, which had dogs of all sizes, but all the dogs were good natured. My pup loved running around with all the friendly dogs. The area seemed pretty clean (there are dog bag dispensers and trashcans strategically placed around the area, and owners seemed conscientious.) there was a doggie water fountain, which was a nice touch. There were muddy areas, but who doesn't expect to have to bathe your dog after going to the dog park? There were a few picnic tables for the owners to use, and there were some trees for shade.
