Also they gave us the wrong table covers and he was nasty to us when he had to get the right ones. After there for a while decorate. The manager walks in with 2 families to look at the place. We have all our personal stuff and our party decorations everywhere. He has people just walking around withouto him planning their party touching our stuff. And commenting on how we were doing it. It made all of us feel uncomfortable. Very unprofessional. My family was very unhappy since they were taking pictures of all of us also. Which is an invasion of our privacy. We rented the place. It was our time there. I wouldn't have minded if he was there, he is the renting manager. That night it rained, the roof leaked and almost damaged all our food. We talked to him about all this the Monday after party. He said, I'm working on fixing it. But, how about our party. He also said a racial remark. Your kind of people. Because we feel like we were not treated fairly. Which was uncalled for. We just wanted to be treated fairly. My husband told him, " you only meet my wife. She is Puerto Rican, but I'm white, just like you. So I don't know what kind of people you are talking about"., Now, after the party. He is refusing to give me back the deposit that is owed to me. We made it work for our daughter. But, we do not recommend this place. We don't even want our deposit back anymore. We just don't want anyone to be treated that way. He was so nice until he got our money. Then you are on your own. We rented this place last year. It was paid by February this year. I gave them a zero.

I did asked if the prices had recently changed she never answered that question. She only stated that it seems like I would be happy elsewhere. Unaware that she had hung up the phone, I was apologizing to her about me asking if prices had recently changed until I realized it was silent on the other end. I called back 2 more times from my phone number and my daughters phone and she sent straight to voicemail. I have never been retreated in such an unprofessional manner that it completely has made me change my mind about having my wedding here. All of this because I question if their prices had recently changed. If you're going to advertise prices on your business, brochure and have rental managers quote one price then you should honor that price. If it had recently change then say I apologize we need to up date our advertising and stated that as well.

Had a two-night stay here in September 2026. First, the good. Staff was super-friendly, the…read moreambiance in the lobby was swanky (especially for Lakeland), and the property is classy. How often do you get to stay in a 100-year-old hotel? Had drinks and dinner in the bar upon arrival and both the cocktails and the steak were exceptional. Also, the hotel restaurant offered to have a to-go breakfast burrito waiting for me each morning of my stay, which was not only a solid breakfast, but saved me a bit of time each morning. The location is great, overlooking Lake Mirror, and being within easy walking distance of several restaurants and bars. Now, for the not-so-great. The air conditioning in my suite was not working upon arrival, which is a real shame, because man, that was a nice room with a lakefront view. Sadly, no other suites were available when I asked to relocate, so I had to downgrade to a standard room. Caveat: the suite was a free Diamond Status upgrade, so I can't complain too much. Second, the floor plan on the Hilton app reflects that there is an ice machine on every floor with guest rooms. This is not accurate. There are only ice machines on three of the floors. And as luck would have it, although I was on one of those floors, that particular machine was not working, so I had to go to a different floor to fill up my cooler each morning. Not a huge deal, just a minor inconvenience. Third, while I confirmed with the front desk staff that my daily food and beverage would be automatically applied to cover the cost of that breakfast burrito, I ended up being charged both days for it, necessitating a call to the front desk after checkout to remind them to apply the credit and reverse those charges. Again, the staff were friendly, and quickly corrected the issue, sending me a followup text to let me know it had been addressed. Finally, consider that the rooms on the north side of the property overlook a main thoroughfare in the downtown square area and a parking garage, so there's quite a bit of street noise, especially on Friday/Saturday nights from folks barhopping. Stay on a higher floor or on the south side of the hotel if you're noise-sensitive. All that being said, I really enjoyed my stay here, and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.

We're able to bank unused hours from our regular meetings and apply them toward larger events, like our annual staff meeting. For larger meetings, having everything from AV and food to onsite staff available makes planning incredibly easy. You had to pay $10 a night for parking. In Lakeland. Let me say that again: you had to pay $10 a night to pay for parking in Lakeland, Florida. That blew my mind. The space is large and we divided the main space into two separate rooms using pipe and draping to keep the ceremony area separate from the dining area. They have a nice bar area and prep kitchen making it a lot easier for caterers. They have a courtyard also that can serve as the ceremony area if preferred. We used that area for our cocktail hour. They were responsive, articulate, and able to answer whatever question we threw at them. Additionally, they have a bride and groom suite, making it super easy to get dressed at the venue. We highly recommend this venue as they could accommodate everything we needed for our daughter's wedding.
