We were looking for a certain beer. We found it at one location, I wanted to make sure we liked it. So we went back to that location and we didn't see it. So we went to this location and Alex went in trying to find this beer for us. We were looking behind other beers, she put an APB out on their earpieces. A gentleman came for a minute to look. He couldn't find it. Alex got the ladder, and was all on the top shelf looking for this beer. She did another APB on the ear piece, then Adriane came. She came with the driving thing. And was pulling cases out, and looking in open boxes! I have never seen any employees go this far looking for beer most would have just said we don't have it! But she was opening boxes that were open Finally we gave up, we had to get on the road. By the time we reach the end of the isle and rounded the corner, we heard her yell out I found it! lol So we went back and got our case of beer! Come here to reup on Cut Waters, I brought a few with me to my in-laws who never tried them. I let them try the mango and pineapple flavor marg and they were hooked! I was blown away how many different flavors they had and a variety pack. I've never seen that until this location. Sucks I don't live in Tampa or I'd literally be here every week trying a different one! If you have not tried Cut Waters I highly recommend giving them a try! We finally found a wine that we've been missing from New Zealand called the seeker. There was a small mislabeling issue from the distributor but Sheila helped us figure out what was wrong and also walked around the store with us and helped us find our favorite wines from vacations around the world. She even recommended a few of her favorites that matched our taste. We ended up buying 6 bottles and signing up for rewards by the time we left, which is crazy because we've been total wine lovers for years and never had someone help us with sign up and deals like Shelia. I attended a spirits class at Total Wine in Wesley Chapel and overall found the experience disappointing. The classroom was very tight, and I wasn't able to sit with my party even though we arrived about 30 minutes early and were shopping in the store beforehand. The host publicly scolded me in front of the class, saying I should have arrived earlier, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. Apparently, seats had to be "saved" by placing a water bottle or personal item on them--something that was never communicated. Considering Total Wine knows exactly how many guests paid for the class, this setup felt poorly planned and unprofessional. The tasting itself was underwhelming. We sampled several spirits, but they were all low-end selections and nothing particularly interesting or special for a paid class. Overall, between the seating issues, how the situation was handled, and the lackluster tasting, I probably wouldn't attend another class here. read more

We have been to quite a few other locations, but what I like best is that each one is laid out exactly the same. so when you walk in you know where everything is located. If not there are employees around that will take you to what you are looking for. I enjoy browsing through the spirit section as well as the singles selections of beer from all over the world. The brands are amazing and some a little pricy. Their prices are competitive and if you don't find something you want they will try to order for you. I really like the tastings they have. All in all, very little to complain about - except today. Went in to purchase a few bottles of Pinnacle Vodka. They had on display two variations .... "cake" and "vanilla" - - several bottles of each! Who puts out these two flavors without displaying the original flavor? So I searched for help. I might just as well have been in death valley because there were 2 people working; one cashier with a line of customers and another woman having a lengthy conversation with some guy that seemingly went on forever. There's usually a couple people around to help -but not today (granted, it was approx. 2:30 on a Tuesday - but still). So, I ended up. buying two bottles at Walmart - which I really didn't want to do. It just seems odd because there's usually a few people available to help. But again, who puts out two off-flavors on display without a single bottle of the original flavor? In summary, I just wanted to comment on a single bad experience. I've had several good in store experiences at this location. Recently I placed an order for Delivery of a gift purchase. Because my 65 year old recipient, was not comfortable with allowing the DD driver to photograph her driver license (having been a victim of Identity Theft) and the order was returned to the store. I called and canceled my order and am expecting a credit refund. This location uses a third party for deliveries(DD). When you place it is acknowledged that recipient must 21+, which is commendable. Delivery driver doesn't check ID but scans/photographs your Driver License. Can you say, "DARK WEB" ?! read more

What an absolute joke. Used to travel to get to a Total Wine when living on the west coast since they had the best deals. Was going to stock up at the Wesley Chapel location since we were nearby. We were in the store from roughly 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and during that entire time, six employees were restocking the beer aisles. Their activity completely blocked customer access, causing visible frustration among several shoppers. Instead of addressing the issue, the employees continued socializing and appeared unconcerned. This reflects poorly on store management. Restocking should be done during off-hours, not when customers are shopping. It was clear that staff were aware of the problem but chose to ignore it. read more

We went in for one bottle of wine, someone who was clearly on their way out and clocking out for work took their time to find the wine we were searching for and on top of that took a few extra minutes to make some great recommendations! They even have a wine chiller you can pit your bottles in and they chill within 3-7 minutes! You pop it in there and shop around! read more

This place is super fun and very educational. Having taken classes in wine, seeing and recognizing the different regions for wine was very exciting. They also carry a large selection of grand cru and premier cru wines with varying price points. Want a magnum bottle or a mini single serving bottle? They have tons of those too. At the entrance there is usually someone serving a variety of different wines to try and they are very fun and helpful in making a decision whether to purchase one of the wines highlighted. Don't want wine? No problem! They have all varieties of alcohol from tequila and whiskey to moonshine and beer (local and international). Not interested in any beverage? Not to worry, they have a full size walk-in humidor with tons of different cigars. It also pays to become a member. You earn coupons each visit and they even have a classroom where you can partake in wine classes or host your own event! Finally there is Total wine near me less than 6 miles. This newly open wine store has variety of wine. Because it is new, most wine still on the shelf. There was no sold out items. It make shopping easier. During the opening week, there is a lot of wine tasting, spirits tasting and music. The floor is in full capacity, you can find help every where. The display case is well organized and beautiful. I got their summer special and Pinot Noir. I always got the Latimer Ranch Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. But this time I added the Carmen Grand Reserve and France D'Autrefois Reserve Pinot Noir. I also have the France Corte De Provence Rose. Light go with Indian curry. Experience is good. Finally total wine and more makes it's way to the Chap for a nicer beer and wine experience. This store is large, well organized, and had some great support staff roaming the aisles when I visited. We ended up picking out a selection of craft beers to try. They have a pretty big selection and don't forget to check out the seasonals section for some uncommon treats. As is typical with spots like this they have snacks to accompany your bevvies of choice. If management is reading there was a gnarly water hammer bang that scared the heck out of me when I used the ladies room, might wanna get that checked out. read more

As I've gotten older, I've learned to appreciate alcoholic beverages, their history, how they're made, where they come from, etc. I love to travel and when I visit a new place, I always try their local beverages and I end up missing them when I get home and can't find them. Total Wine is one of those places that as soon as I walk in, I'm being greeted by the friendliest staff and I walk around and feel like I'm traveling again because they have everything you could ever want. Walking around and getting to see so many unique products from all over the world and getting to hear the staff's input on what they like is really great. I also went to purchase a very specific and hard to find wine for my dad's birthday but I went in, instantly got help from the sweetest man who helped me find the wine I was looking for, and we stood there talking about how special this wine was for my dad. All in all, my dad ended up tearing up when he saw the bottle and loved every bit of it. This is truly a great store and I'm happy to finally have one in my area! read more

Rude employee with zero knowledge of the total wine app. Gerald was by far the most arrogant condescending checker I have ever in countered. Told me that I should have prepared before I walked in the store. I just found out about the app in the store so how could I prepare? I told him he was rude and I would not return. I often order on line and pick up at the store. It is so convenient and the gentleman who brings my order to my car is exceptionally nice. The are always quick to have my orders available. Today I ordered on line and accidentally requested to be picked up tomorrow. I called the store and told the gentleman on the phone that I would be out of town and not able to get my order until Monday, which it was my fault and it wouldn't be an issue. He was so nice and helpful and said he would have my order (15 bottles of wine) ready today! In less than an hour I received an email letting e know my order is available for pick up! Went here to expand my whiskey stock and was not disappointed. I was told they do not get the hard to find bottles but are well stocked so you'll find others you like. Choices in all liquors are far beyond any store in the area. Clean and well laid out with a few employees on the floor to answer any questions you may have. Prices are better than most other places as a whole. They have a rewards program on their app. Not really sure if it's worth it or not as I just been here a couple of times. Four stars because although I'm not going around hunting for hard to get bottles, it would be nice to have an opportunity to find one on the off chance I went at the right time. Disclaimer: Do not come to total wine if you are 21 or look young! I have been to total wine at this location multiple times because unfortunately they are the only store that sells the wine I like. The first time I went into total wine was a couple of months after I turned 21 last year. I went to the register and handed the cashier my ID. After she scanned it into the computer system validating that my ID was indeed real and confirmed my age, she then calls the manager over to "double check" the authenticity as well as wrote down all of my license information on a piece of paper without letting me know why she was doing this. The second time I went into this store my ID needed to be double checked once again and this time the manager tells me that my ID will be double checked every single time I come in here until my 22nd birthday. The third and final time I will ever be in their facility was when my boyfriend and I went to get some wine and beer. We were at one of the wine vendors and the guy was talking to my boyfriend and handing him samples of wine without even asking for any ID, but stares at me and tells me (not asks me) "you aren't 21" my boyfriend and I both look at each other and tell him I am indeed 21 and that you need to be 21 to be in the store. He then laughs at me and tells me he needs to see my ID and proceeds to make fun of the year I was born like I was too young. I understand policies, but this store treats 21 year olds like they aren't of age and people who look young like they don't belong in the store. read more
