First time at Winn-Dixie, everyone was so super friendly it scared me. Lol The store was very well lit, very reasonable prices, produce was fresh and the meat were very fresh. 1.1 miles away, you can beat the location. The store has been closed. It is now ALDI too bad for us since Publix can't stop raising prices.

I went in during lunch (11-12) today for some fried chicken. I told the lady what I wanted and she went on doing everything but putting the fried chicken in the fryer. This was the second time this week I came in and no chicken was ready. If a store has something on their ad they should have it available unless the product was out of stock. The remodel looks really good. Kaylee is so kind and friendly, a cheerful check out. She is a great employee like John, Brendan, Jessica, and Tyler, they have some really nice people working here. They have good sales, great meats, nice BOGO's, and I love their coupons and points for $ to buy groceries with. I love their app and freebees. Winn Dixie has really upped their game a great deal the past few years. I love their weekend sales! Thank God we have a decent grocery store that has decent prices. Publix is expensive. read more

I need just two items: cheese and Powerade. The choice of cheese chunks came down to "pick the Winn Dixie brand or pay double." Poor selection. Then I waited first in one checkout line. I was fourth in line and as I waited, the cashier talk to the customer she was checking out. This was not a talk and checkout at the same time. The cashier stopped checking out items, chatted for a bit, then checked out a few more items. The line grew. I went to self checkout, which was already backed up. It was chaotic. I went to aisle one and waited more. The lines grew , three employees chatted, one of whom was counting candy in an unopened checkout aisle. If the manager saw this and did nothing, he or she should have. I won't go there any more. read more

My mother called to ask a simple question about what types of bags they recycle. The opening manager (female, first name starts with the letter J) could not grasp what my mother was saying so I got frustrated listening to their conversation and I took the phone and spoke with the manager. This manager could not grasp what I was saying either. She insisted on talking instead of listening. Her responses were inappropriate. The opening manager said illogical things in response, such as "We don't deliver food". This is a complete communication disconnect! She was condescending to us, talked to us as if we are stupid, when she is the person who was failing to understand. This manager also called me "sweetie" twice, which is unprofessional and condescending. She is an exceptionally poor listener and she cannot understand basic words such as "wrap" vs "rack". She also repeated information that we weren't asking for, such as "There are three bins out front." Did I ask that? No. Did my mother ask that? No. Why is she giving us information that is NOT AT ALL what we requested? When I asked to speak with her supervisor, she said that she was the supervisor, so she also blocked from speaking to anyone who might address her behavior. Hence this review. Advice to Miss J: Close your mouth and open your ears in order to understand! Let the other person explain. You might have to listen and think for more than 2.5 seconds. Learn how to ask clarifying questions when you don't understand instead of trying to dominate the conversation and giving information that is irrelevant. Stay on point. I will add a photo later of the bags/wraps we are trying to determine if they're recyclable or not. PS - The mgr finally admitted that she didn't know! That's all she had to say. We really don't need your employee's attitude which seems to be to patronize people and play mind games with them when they assume the caller is elderly and incompetent. read more

The store employees (not the pharmacy) have been consistently helpful and friendly. The store carries all the basics, it's nothing fancy, but it's clean, and the prices are a bit less, on average, than Publix. Note that you need to sign up for their savings card to get their advertised sale prices. The Winn Dixie Pharmacy, however, should be avoided. Since my initial review, I've had several bad experiences with this pharmacy. First, they dropped the ball on refilling my prescription. Their phone system said it was refilled and ready. However, when I went to pick it up, the pharmacy supervisor couldn't find it. Finally, he admits that my prescription's not there. In fact, he just realized they don't have the medicine in stock, so he has to order it, and I have to come back in 2 to 3 days. As a result, I went without my medicine for two days! I pointed this out to the pharmacy supervisor, but he never apologized. He clearly didn't care. A few weeks later, I tried to transfer the prescription to a different pharmacy, to avoid more problems. But "Jeff" at Winn Dixie refused to transfer my prescription. Despite clear documentation showing that I had 1 refill remaining, he told my new pharmacy that there were no more refills, so he couldn't transfer it. I straightened it out eventually, but Winn Dixie pharmacy made it difficult. read more

The store on the whole ...all the employees are wonderful . The cashiers the floor persons, Eric and the others are very polite and helpful. The Pharmacy...Brenda, she knows her stuff and goes by the book. The Pharmacists, Miguel, efficient and always smiling. Jeff...the best. Lots of common sense and as knowledgeable about medications (or more) than most Doctors. They are all not only polite, but have compassion when needed, and are quick witted . You may have to leave your cash , but you also get to leave with a big smile.... Yes the beef is great... but it would help if it was a little less$$$$ read more

Most of the time top notch. Sometimes however empty produce ( or poor) shelves. When it's good, it's very good! Good reward program.

I live around the corner from Winn-Dixie therefore I do a lot of shopping there. what bothers me is when I see how they mark up just what I need, examples dog food, borax both $2.00 more than Wal-Mart & Publix they raise their prices on buy one sales to make you think your getting a deal. read more

Then i go back to pick up same script and i told him it was for my dog. and he told me some guy comes in for insulin meds for his cat monthly. script cost $100 a month. He said he would bring the cat to a chinese restaurant before he would spend the money on a cat. read more

There is no way I would spend my budget in this store. Anyone who shops there is paying much more for groceries than anywhere else. Comparing to Publix, Publix is cheaper. Even with the Winn-Dixie Card! Fresh Vegetables were so expensive. Hamburger a $1.00 more/lb than Publix. since the Romaine was recalled, I went to look for Ice-burg lettuce, they Wanted $2.75!!! WHAT! That is outrageous. I call Price gouging! Anyone who shops there is foolish with their money. I could never afford to shop there. Went to pick up something I forgot on Thanksgiving day, and what I wanted was so over priced, I said forget it. Went to Walmart to get what I needed since Publix was closed for the holiday. There is no way I would give Winn-Dixie my money. read more

This Winn-Dixie is great. I can always find everything I'm looking for and then some. It's really easy to get to and a great bike ride when I just want to get a couple small things. The store is nicely set up, making it easy to find things. All of the employees I've spoken to (at the cash register or when asking a question) were pleasant and helpful.
