It's a complex process when it comes to prescription meds. So many hands interchanging info. From your Dr. or Clinician to insurance or not. If insurance is involved here is where it can get complicated. Ah yes! The dreaded computer/ human errors. ***Heres a back up SUGGESTION, it's saved me unnecessary phone calls. If your Dr. sends the Rx via his computer? Ask him/her for a printed copy, tell him the sad truth. If you get to your pharmacy and they give you a blank look. HUH:-0 Sorry... we don't have anything explanation. Usually this happens after your Dr.s office have closed the phone lines. I've spend a Saturday and Sunday playing phone tag. NOT ANY MORE:-)) I have my copy of my Rx. A written Rx take a phone pic before you hand it over. I've laughed to tears when I've been told "Sorry, we can't find it" My Answer is- Fear not. Jeanette, the on shift manager, has about the worst attitude ever. Came in for a photo pick up that was marked as ready and we had a hard time finding the order, even with confirmation number. It eventually turns out it was under an older number of mine, but regardless, when she thought the order wasn't ready yet, she had a very careless attitude about it and didn't seem to want to help in any way. Technician was off for the day and she couldn't give me any solutions and didn't seem to care at all. The whole exchange was just very off putting. On the other hand, the cashier up front was super helpful and kind! I didn't get her name, but she was very nice! read more

Overall customer service is awful - every now and then I will get someone decent. Trying to call them is impossible -you're on hold forever and then it finally sounds like your call is going to go through and it hangs up. So you must resort to going to the store to ask questions. I was there to pick up a different prescription and had a question about one that was pending insurance. Basically, just wanted to know if there was anything I needed to do while the insurance was being reviewed because it said it was too early. The young girl at the window was so rude and wouldn't let me even finish asking my questions before saying I don't know it's automated and then cutting me off when I say so I need to call "I didn't say you needed to call". Until finally, I just drove away. Mind you I was the only one in the drive-through. It was later in the evening and I was not holding up any line. This is definitely not the first negative experience at the store, but just the latest one. I don't know if Walgreens does not treat their employees nicely or the person doing the interviewing and hiring is very bad at picking people, but it seems to be a trend here. I do plan to switch to a local mom-and-pop pharmacy of which there are several new ones - I will have to forfeit having a drive-through and hours but it will be worth it to have people that actually don't mind doing their job. Advertised pharmacy was open on Christmas Day on their website and direct store phone line but it was not. Pharmacist did not show up. The store manager did not update website, phone recording or corporate headquarters that the pharmacy was closed for the day. This left doctors and patients assuming urgent prescriptions could be filled when in reality no pharmacist was there. read more

Just love the fact how helpful the staff is. When I asked where an item was they actually walked me to the item. The store is clean, well stocked and has great customer service. My only issue is that when customers come in not wearing a mask the store should either provide them with a mask or refuse them service. Covid isn't going to go away until everyone takes it seriously. I understand they don't want to offend anyone but they are putting there employees and customers at risk for a few ignorant people. If someone chooses not to wear a mask they need to stay home! read more

Always have pretty much what you need, while picking up medicine! Love the drive-thru, and also that they're open 24/7. I've even gotten addicted to their brand of microwave popcorn, at least half the price of Orville...and I think it tastes better. Also, a friendly staff, and can get the flu shot there! read more

Bad Pharmacy Service Ruined My Twins' First Birthday I called at eight pm to figure out why the medicine my doctor had ordered at four wasn't ready. I was told very specifically that there was no medication ordered and the only explanation for it was that the doctor had never called it in. My girls went all night without their cold medicine and got much worse. The next morning, which was also the morning of their first birthday, I called my doctor who reported calling in the medicine as promised. They then called, and the explanation they were given from the pharmacy was that they were out of the medication and were getting more in that morning. There are four more Walgreens pharmacies that I could've transferred to if I was given correct information, but instead I spent an hour that night calling all the pharmacy chains in Vero Beach and incurring a $15 charge from my doctor's after-hours number trying to track down the prescription that "was never called in." My girls didn't get their cold medicine in enough time to get better and we're cancelling their birthday party because they are still too sick to have friends over. I spoke to the pharmacy manager when I finally picked up the prescription and figured out what happened. Even though I had called the number of the specific pharmacy, the Walgreens system puts you through to their call center in Orlando. So when the girl said she was on location and checking the pharmacy records, she was really searching a computer that didn't have any of the information she needed. What she should've done was admitted that she wasn't on location and put me through to the actual pharmacy staff in Vero Beach who could've seen the doctor's order and transferred the prescription. Pharmacies run out of things; that is understandable. The problem is that if you work with Walgreens you'll be put through to a call center instead of a person who actually knows anything. Now I know if this ever happens again to insist to speak to a pharmacist on location. I don't think I'm even going to take the chance. My babies' health is too important to risk to a large, faceless, incompetent computer system. read more
