Flavor was delicious and heat was just right. I got the Sando (medium heat) with friend pickles. The medium heat has a little tingle but didn't have my mouth on fire. Every table was dirty, and the table felt sticky. The bathrooms were disgusting, which we unfortunately had to navigate with a 2 year old - which makes the overall experience lose marks for not being family. The chicken was fine. I got the medium, which was so hot I could barely eat my meal. Coming from someone that loves spicy food...I was surprised. I normally order on the spicy side, but always medium when trying a new restaurant to gauge the spice level. The sandwich needs more coleslaw/sauce to balance the heat. Also, I wasn't aware that the meal didn't come with any sauce, and ended up having to buy some at the register after the fact. The chicken itself was well cooked, I just didn't feel like the experience was worth it for me or my family. Alsoc why does a restaurant with a soda fountain have Coke Zero but not Diet Coke?? Now that's just bizarre behavior lol.

We decided on a high-top towards the end of the bar since the Colts were being shown there. As for the interior, it's a typical sports bar setting with copious amounts of seating and tvs with your standard bar foods menu and plenty of beers and branded spirits available for order. We stuck with the miller lite which was pretty cheap and they always made sure it was full when we finished the previous one. As for food, I decided on wings with a jalapeno peach and the dirty jerk dry flavors. No issues with taste; the jalapeno peach is a solid one with a good blend of spice and sweetness. I'm a bit disappointed that for 10 wings, only 9 came with my order and when I mentioned it to our server/bartender, it went ignored. He probably didn't hear me bring it up since more people started coming in and the place was getting full. I should've brought it up again but likely got distracted by my team's lousy performance. I'm open to coming back here again. While this place is like any other sports bar, the affordable beers and that jalapeno peach flavors shouldn't be ignored.

We had an amazing first experience at Dirty Birds and will absolutely be back!…read more My husband ordered the 20-piece wings and got four different flavors--mango habanero, dirty jerk, dry rub, Bruce Lee, Wang, and Dr Pepper BBQ (we had to try as many as possible ). Every single one was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I had the chicken sandwich with mango habanero, pickles, and coleslaw (can't remember the name, but WOW--it was incredible). The balance of sweet, heat, and crunch was perfect. I ordered the mango habanero mixed sauces in the side and used them as a dipper just to control the heat just in case since it was my first time trying it. For drinks, I had the Crackberry cider and my husband had the Mango Cart--both were great choices. Our waitress, Aureli, was so sweet and attentive. And when her shift ended, Oryn (the bartender) took over seamlessly and made sure we were still taken care of--top-tier service all around. Oryn was the highlight of our visit. Just a solid, friendly and respectful dude with a great personality. The vibe is everything--90s R&B, chill atmosphere, sports on all the TVs. It's the perfect mix of sports bar energy with a laid-back, welcoming feel. We even met the owner, Chris, which made the experience feel even more personal. We also found out they do music bingo on Tuesdays from 7-9 PM, which we're definitely coming back for. Great food, great drinks, amazing service, and an all-around awesome vibe. 5 stars all the way!

2 Stars....and here's why…read more The stars are given purely based on food taste. The crispy, naked wings were great and the sauce was perfect. That's where the good ends. The wife's buffalo chicken sandwich was covered in sauce--not just the chicken, but the whole thing. Outside, inside, everywhere. It was so slippery she couldn't hold onto it. The onion rings were...just blah. Fries were typical (definitely not snob-worthy) My wings weren't hot, warm maybe, but could tell that they were plated for 15 of the 20 minutes we waited for the order (we were the only guests there). It was super dark in the restaurant, so much so that we had to make sure they were actually open. There was no one else in the business other than the employees. I'm assuming that the dark light situation was to cover what we eventually found to be total filth. When we ordered, paid, and sat down, the staff turned on the music so loud that the three in our party couldn't even talk to one another. The tables were dirty. The fountain drink machine was in disarray, as was the self-serve station. No napkins, plastic ware, or typical accoutrements. The hallway to the restrooms looks like it needed a deep cleaning, and the single potty room looked and smelled like a daycare. The paper towel dispenser was problematic. When we left, the staff demanded that we clean the table off--as the cook sat on the floor behind the counter charging his phone. I thought it was ironic considering how the entire place felt disgustingly dirty. We're a wing-loving family. We wanted to try this as a new place for one of our favorite treats. Based on the experience, we won't be back. Instead, we'll be trying Wing Daddy's up the road next time. I like how the ownership appears to take to heart the negative reviews. But this one is a sincere plea for real change before this business falters and shuts their doors as another bygone attempt at food service.

With this new Plano location, I finally got to try it. The location is unassuming and the inside is just as much so. This is definitely a mom and pop place so don't expect a lot of fancy stuff but everything was clean. The host was quick to recognize us from the kitchen and since we were eating in, told us to get a sit wherever and they will bring a menu. Overall, they have many of the same offerings as the Dallas location but with it just opening they were out of some things and the soda machine was down. For food we ordered the cat fish, Mac n cheese, gumbo, and chicken fingers. Also got a cup of their kool-aid. The cat fish was the star. It was fresh and flaky, seasoned to perfection, and paired with their tartar sauce, was delicious. Highly recommend. The chicken fingers were good and not any major complaints just standard. Seasoned well and easily enjoyable. The Mac n Cheese was highly disappointing and can't recommend it. Might have been an off day but wasn't my style. The gumbo was good. Just your basic gumbo but you definitely need the hot sauce because it had no heat to it and I like mine a little more on the spicy side. Overall, I definitely recommend checking them out. They have some good offerings and glad to see a soul food style place in Plano.

It's not very salty, which is what I like and it's a good serving size (sometime too big so my husband finishes it for me). It comes with salt and pepper for more seasoning, and a few side dishes. The servers are very attentive and they come by all the time to check on you, refill waters, and offer you more of their banchans. I love their cucumber side dish and their kimchi. I always get refills on those. They are a little on the pricier side, but totally worth it. Overall, definitely recommend! It's best to come early to find parking since it does tend to be super busy.
