Wingstop isn't spending their money on decor. It's pretty basic with a tan and green color theme. At least the chairs have padding. They have 3 TV's in the dining room but muted of course and NO music. Ugh. It's become an epidemic with restaurants in Winston. We ordered some original mild tenders, bone in wings in Lemon pepper and original hot, , Cajun corn and veggie sticks. Of course we got sides of their famous ranch and a honey mustard sauce as well. The tenders are big! I got a 5 piece and I could only eat two. I had two bone in lemon pepper wings as well and now I know what the hype on this flavor is all about. SO good! I want to try that flavor in the tenders next time. When we placed our order, we were told it would be 18 min. I've read some reviews on the other location in Winston about it taking much longer than the quoted time so I set my stopwatch to see how long it would actually take. Almost to the minute it was 18 min. This location just opened so many employees are still training but we were well taken care of at the counter, ordering and someone checked on us twice to see if we needed anything while we were eating. A+ for excellent service Wingstop Hanes Mall Blvd! Please keep that standard and you'll have a regular customer in me. For my first visit to Wingstop I can see why it's so popular. I'll definitely be back.

I was told it would by 15 minutes or so as they were just getting cranked up - yet another spot that is not ready for business when they open the doors! The timing was as I was told, and I headed out! This is a small filet as these filets go in national chains probably in the 6 ounce range, maybe a bit heavier than the smallest which is Chick-Fil-A. It is wide but it is also thin and cooked up a bit dry. The pickles and the sauce added a little zip, but at the end of the day this is a middle tier sandwich - my rating would be 7 out of 10. This sandwich is a bit pricey when the size is factored in, especially when measured against the heavyweights - KFC and Popeyes! Ambiance - 2.5 Food - 3.5 Service - 2.5 Value - 3

I ordered the Timmy's Hot Chicken sandwich, which comes with hot chicken, pickles, and a sauce, plus crinkle fries. I got some extra sauce and I am glad I did. I came in with my family, and we were served by Felicia. Very nice, personable and always around. Excellent service. The food is what I've come to expect. It's not the best, but it's good. ECW has a lot of options, from sandwiches, tacos, and of course wings. I ordered a 5 count chicken finger with mild sauce, some fries and onion rings to share with my wife. The chicken fingers were chicken-y and covered with a very tasty wing sauce. Pretty much standard fare. The onion rings are something I've had before. They taste pretty good and hold together- easy win. Add some dipping sauces and it's a good lunch. The fries were surprisingly excellent, cooked just right and covered with the right amount of salt. The kids had variations on the same thing and enjoyed it. Overall, the highlight was Felicia, but the food is nothing to cry about. I'll come back for sure.

Second, I did try their fried chicken finally a while back, and it was decent - though not world changing (3 stars for the chicken). Third - and the reason I'm giving them 4 stars - is their Dubai bar. I've had Dubai bars from a fair number of places in multiple states by now, and this is easily the best one I've had! And I've had it several times now! The price for the size of it is very decent at $12.50, and as you can see it is large, just like my banana! :) And the pistachio crème in that cross section is generously filled and delicious! It is melty and gooey and just a terrific treat! When I think Dubai bar and what a standard chocolate bar with pistachio crème ought to be, this is it. Inside of the store is still trashy though. But I'm happy to run in, buy a Dubai bar, and get out.

The menu is stacked with several certified bangers, so I'll have to come back for that patty melt. The giant pretzel is a must. Still, it's massive, served warm, and it's the perfect app to kick things off with a beer. Their Carolina Blonde reminds me of Natty's Wildflower, which I'm not a huge fan of. I should've passed on that and stuck with their Pilsner which was actually good. The half order of fish and chips is filling, especially while snacking on something else. It's crispy without being greasy, and the fish was fresh and flaky. I would order it again for sure, the pretzel too. Skip their Carolina Blonde though, it's just not it.
