First impressions upon walking in: this place was hopping! There were about 6 tables occupied in the dining room around 5:30pm on a Friday evening but they were definitely busy with call in/online orders and plenty of people were coming and going for pick up. Wingstop isn't spending their money on decor. It's pretty basic with a tan and green color theme. At least the chairs have padding. They have 3 TV's in the dining room but muted of course and NO music. Ugh. It's become an epidemic with restaurants in Winston. We ordered some original mild tenders, bone in wings in Lemon pepper and original hot, , Cajun corn and veggie sticks. Of course we got sides of their famous ranch and a honey mustard sauce as well. The tenders are big! I got a 5 piece and I could only eat two. I had two bone in lemon pepper wings as well and now I know what the hype on this flavor is all about. SO good! I want to try that flavor in the tenders next time. When we placed our order, we were told it would be 18 min. I've read some reviews on the other location in Winston about it taking much longer than the quoted time so I set my stopwatch to see how long it would actually take. Almost to the minute it was 18 min. This location just opened so many employees are still training but we were well taken care of at the counter, ordering and someone checked on us twice to see if we needed anything while we were eating. A+ for excellent service Wingstop Hanes Mall Blvd! Please keep that standard and you'll have a regular customer in me. For my first visit to Wingstop I can see why it's so popular. Still looking for the best fried chicken sandwiches, so I stopped by here. I ordered the chicken sandwich ($5.79), and a large Simply Lemonade. I was told it would by 15 minutes or so as they were just getting cranked up - yet another spot that is not ready for business when they open the doors! The timing was as I was told, and I headed out! This is a small filet as these filets go in national chains probably in the 6 ounce range, maybe a bit heavier than the smallest which is Chick-Fil-A. It is wide but it is also thin and cooked up a bit dry. The pickles and the sauce added a little zip, but at the end of the day this is a middle tier sandwich - my rating would be 7 out of 10. Service so terrible here. Wouldn't have been a big deal but this is the second time. First time when I came to the counter the girl said it looked like I "walked up like I had a problem" even though I spoke to her. I'm assuming the fact I was in the rush came off wrong but had she considered that I'm rushing to the counter and not her as a person? She's slow. The place looks clean, however it's under New management what doesn't know how to run a store. The whole team looks uncomfortable. As a dasher and a manger of 8years, Its necessary for a team to works together to accomplish goals. This management was firm about a policy that doesn't exist. The food is between good and great on the average day, but the wait time is just always going to be a lot longer than they ever quote to you. If you place an order on the app and it says pickup in 20-25 minutes, they really mean 40-45 minutes and it doesn't matter if it's lunch time or dinner, the wait is always longer than they say it is. If they would just fix their wait times this is a 5 star location, staff is always nice but the wait for what is basically fast food just makes no sense. read more

Ordered online and our food wasn't ready which would be okay but somehow our food was cold for not being ready at pickup. Less than professional staff and just not a good vibe. Has been a long time since having wingstop and well it was a disappointment. Wings were cold, fries were cold and even the fountain drinks seemed flat. My wife was scolded for asking how much longer her order would take. We arrived at our estimated time, and waited 25 additional minutes for our food. When my wife approached the counter to ask if she could sip on her drink and if they had an estimated time, she was greeted with a nasty attitude from the management. If the store wants to continue offering estimates from DoorDash, they need to either up the time by 20 minutes or clients need to ignore all postings for time estimates, as the estimate is arbitrary and inaccurate. read more

Giving it 2 stars instead of just 1, because we went on a Friday night, so I'm going to believe that was a factor as to why the whole experience was subpar. Wingstop is just bad. Waited an hour for an online order, but again, I realize the day of the week we went probably affected that. Long wait time aside, the fries have an odd, sweet aftertaste, wings were bland. Floor in the kitchen area was filthy and I witnessed a worker putting a box of chicken wings on the floor. That bothered me. The pick-up area was chaos, very little organization. Even though I'm a fan of the type of music that was playing in the store, the volume level was just over-the-top. It made for a very over-stimulating experience. It was too much, only added to the chaos. The girls working the register were doing their best to accommodate everyone, and I commend them for that. But, doubt we'll ever return.
