I placed an order, which took 45 minutes because when I got there 15 minutes later, they haven't even touched the order. They did have a large order in front of me. Then, I proceeded to witness staff arguing with each other, and looked around noticing the store was in disarray and dirty. The next person tried to order on the kiosk, couldn't, and the staff member could not take his order...literally. She couldn't understand what he wanted and just kind of gave up? He left muttering profanity and the next customer stood there for like 15 minutes. The gentleman from the back, who should've been preparing my order, came out to tell her she had to order on the kiosk. At which, she got mad and left. No other orders, no cars, no people..on a Thursday night. I did get my order and was a little nervous to eat it after seeing the condition of the store. I did eat it and the food was decent. About a 3, thus my review. I know the workers showed up, and that is at least something. However, they were not able to run the store or manage the customers. I wondered where in the world the management was??? It's sad that a manager or owner would let a franchise be run in this fashion and not really seem to be involved in the operation. Sadly, good businesses do not last even if the product is tasty.

I feel like fried mushrooms used to be an appetizer staple, but now most menus do not have them. This is the place to get them. The batter is so bubbly and it comes out so crispy and flavorful. Their ranch is pretty good, especially with the mushrooms. They give a pretty good portion. Even the kids like them. Honestly, I do not go to Chicken Shack enough for this snack. I really love them. This location is in a good spot with plenty of parking. It is also a lot larger than many of the other locations. It is easier to get in and out of than other locations. I asked for his opinion on his breakfast and he said "fine" - the eggs were cooked over-easy like he wanted and he was able to swap out something in his breakfast combo for a pancake. I did sneak a taste of the pancake and it was decent. I ordered off the Sides cuz I am not a big eater. I ordered a side of shredded hash browns and bacon well done. I am glad I asked for the bacon well done cuz it still was not really as well done as I would have preferred but not do much so to send it back. I just don't like wiggly fatty bacon so I just didn't eat a few bites that were like that...but for the most part, it was completely fried 100%. The hashbrowns tasted good but I did have to add some salt and pepper - no problem, it's easier to add than for it to have too much added by the chef. What I don't know is what the hashbrowns was cooked in cuz I kept burping the hashbrowns for hours afterwards. It was a very odd aftertaste and I chewed Tums a few times that morning and early afternoon. I would hesitate to come back again unless I got something that was baked or a fresh salad.

However, that's where the positives ended. We were seated by the host, and our server took an eternity to arrive. Since the restaurant was moderately busy, I wasn't overly concerned. She neglected to check on us throughout the meal, failed to refill our drinks, and I had to personally request the bill. Another server eventually brought it out and our original waitress didn't even attempt to cash it out. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was disappointing and unremarkable.
