While I'm waiting for my order to come up they offer complementary shelled peanuts to snack on. You could say they're your free appetizer. This location keeps it white glove clean. They have lots of seating areas as well. The staff cleans the tables quickly so you're not waiting for a clean table. The staff are always polite here and they like to smile and joke around to keep the mood light and fun. The open kitchen behind the counter lets you watch to order being grilled, fried and assembled to perfection. Lots of parking here and quick in and out if your picking up. First off this IS Five Guys, where the standard burger is a double and you get all the extras you want on the burger. The burgers themselves are pretty good. The fries are fresh cut, and seasoned well. But why do they always put the burger in the bag first then dump all the fries on top??? You just covered the burger in all the fries seasoning and it makes a mess for us eating the burger. I even asked for a separate bag to put my burger in. What'd they do???? Shout out to five guys in Auburn Hills these guys rock. Stopped in on a Friday night when they are always slammed. Cashier was friendly food was hot and prepared correctly and the wait wasn't as long as I feared when I arrived, it was probably 15 or 20 min but they had a lot of orders and they were getting them out pretty fast. I'd say that the temperature inside was a extremely cold and when an employee was approached by my wife, she stated that she would get in trouble by the general manager if she turned the temperature up. Probably one of my favorite Five Guys locations... and listen, I've lived in several areas Over the past decade and can attest their service, and order accuracy at this location which tends to be spot on. Although I miss the old add/extra cheese option in the app, I know it has nothing to do with the team. (What can I say, I like cheese?) I've gotta say that I waited FOREVER to try this place! I imagined a grease pit with mediocre burgers. I don't even know why I thought that! I was happily surprised when I visited today and had what was one of the best fast food style burgers ever! My suggestions: 1. Go for the littles. They mean big when they say little. Little means one burger patty. 2. Share fries. They dump a massive amount in the bag. 3. Try A-1 on your burger. Just do it. 4. Plan on a long walk or run after. But not too soon after! read more

The Five Guys on Adams Rd in Rochester Hills is a poor representation of the chain. I ordered fresh fries and when I made it home the fries were raw and greasy and the entire bottom of the bag was soaked in grease. If that was not bad enough, I called up there and asked to speak to the manager and the person that prepared the fries took the call "the manager in-training", I once again asked for the manager--he hung up and when I called back they would not answer. I drove back to the location with food in hand (20 minutes away). The actual manager came to the front of the store--never apologized and had her mobile phone up to her ear talking the entire time while refunding my money. Placed an online order for pickup via their app. When I arrived at the specified time, they hadn't even started my order. By the time my order was completed, it was 15 minutes past my pick up time. They didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. What's the point of scheduling a pick up time if they aren't going to start the order until that time? So, my daughter ordered on line, we jumped in the Impala and drove five miles to Five Guys. They respectively observed the 6' rule and had things brilliantly prepared to help us abide...dropped our fries in when we arrived and out to the car they came with hot burgers and fries...and did you know they now have milkshakes? The burgers were good if the greasy, "smashburger" style is what you like. We do- so 5 stars there. The topping list was okay. Fries are like the floppy style ones you get from a vendor at the local county fair- that is a favorite for some people, not for me. I like crispy fries. The two starts are mainly being taken off for the atmosphere. The music was so loud we just gave up trying to talk. I had a headache by the time we left. Tables weren't being cleaned very quickly. As far as Five Guys locations go, this place's food is mediocre. Nothing to write home about. But the slow pace is what really grinds my gears. Yes, this is the place to go if you want a nice juicy fatty burger! Yum, if I had to choose a burger place, I'd go to Five Guys. It's so good. I usually get the single patty cheeseburger with a little of everything, if you like spice then ask for jalapenos to spice up those taste buds! They also sell hot dogs but I've never had one, it's on the list of things to try. Let me just say that they give you a whole heap of fries, like a little mountain in your bag, lol. I am extremely displeased with our recent visit. We have been fans of the Five Guys chain as long as I can remember and were really looking forward to our food. We arrived with our service dog. I had found a seat and was waiting on my fiance and our food. My service dog was on the floor under the table nicely tucked away (the way a service dog should be).. when a woman with a shittzu dog walked in. The lady grabbed a high chair for the dog and sat next to us. Her dog barked and yelped at my service dog who did not move. I tried to tell an employee and was ignored. My fiance spoke to the woman who rudely informed him that her dog was an emotional support animal and allowed to be there. We grabbed our food and left. I was stopped by another customer who saw everything and told us he didn't even know our dog was there till we left and commented on how well behaved he was. I am angry with the staff for not doing anything. FOR ONE thing. EMOTIONAL support animals have no public access rights by law. There is no registery for these animals by law.. even though this woman claimed to be "registered by the state".. it does not exsist. And secondly having a dog sit in a high chair with its paws on the table is not cute. It against federal health codes. I am sadded by this visit and will not be back to this FIVE GUYS any time soon. Sad we had to eat our meal in our car so we could eat in peace. And sad the staff did not know the laws enough to remove this person from the place with it was BREAKING LAW.. and disrupting other peoples meals, NOTE TO MANAGER: PLEASE learn the ADA laws. PLEASE educate your staff on proper service dog behavior. AND PLEASE don't allow pets or emotional support animals in your place of buiness. Aside from the fact that a grilled cheese slightly bigger than a silver dollar costs more than $4, getting said expensive dinner cold is suuuper disappointing. There were ample staff, and not many patrons waiting on food, but for whatever reason, things still took way too long. They were only using one fry basket even though there were fries sitting in 4 other baskets hanging above the deep fryer. One worker seriously dumped those 4 baskets of fries into the garbage as we waited patiently for someone to put some potatoes into hot oil so we could go home and eat. Grr!!! Anyway, this is a franchise and the food itself is pretty much the same as the food at any other location, but the service is horrible.
