    Dry Oreo milkshake w/whipped cream
    Kendrick S.

I got the fries, and the chicken fries, and i got a Oreo Milkshake. The fries were so good, the Chicken fingers were delicious, and the Oreo milkshake was good but kind of dry, the milkshakes need more thin milk or add less whipped cream on the milkshakes. The service was fast and kind. The ambiance is very pleasant, calm music, and a very quiet restaurant.

As far as fast food steak and shake wasn't bad. First time I went they screwed up my order, so be sure to check yours. But I like the food I got that double garlic steak burger with cheese. And you can request extra garlic sauce, if you want. They sell skinny fries which weren't too bad tasted hot and fresh. They've got some good deals on burgers, and a $4 deal. And the shakes, the shakes are really good. Little extra on your waistline enjoy one of those shakes and a fat double cheeseburger. Yeah steak and shake living the American dream. Check it out.

This place turned around! I went on a slow Monday night, and my food came out in under 2 minutes compared to around 10 the last time I went. All my food was right and tasted great, especially the fries. Definitely coming back soon after a long hiatus.

The WORST stomach ache I've ever had. Also the "chili" was more like water with a bunch of beans in it. Absolutely avoid at all costs.

The shoestring fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy, while my cookies and cream shake had spot on consistency with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

The bigger issue was the bill: our group was charged 20% gratuity even though the menu clearly stated 18%, and the explanation we got was unclear and undocumented. Big, juicy, and piled with smothered mushrooms plus all the classic burger fixins'. It came with house-made chips seasoned with Cajun and they were SO good. Flavorful, a little kick, but not overpowering. My kids both got Cajun-seasoned fries with their meals and they weren't spicy at all, just really good flavor. One had the cheeseburger (which was huge for a kids meal) and the other had mac & cheese. The mac was good, just not my favorite thing on the table -- but that might just be me being picky. My husband ordered the pepperoni and hot honey flatbread and that was a sleeper hit. The sweet heat combo was perfect. Service was great. Drinks stayed filled, food came out in a good rhythm, and we never felt ignored. The vibe inside is what I'd call an upscale diner. Cloth napkins, nice lighting, clean, comfortable. You could do a casual date night or bring your kids like we did and feel fine either way. The only reason it's not 5 stars is the pricing. $17 for a burger without fries feels a little steep, and adding fries for $3 extra adds up fast. Kids meals at $8 felt fair though. They do have happy hour every day, which is a nice touch.

Did a search for eateries in close proximity and decided on the Olde Detroit Burger Bar in Lake Orion. Not too sure how long this establishment has been in business, but it was either relatively new or recently renovated making it a very welcoming restaurant/bar. We started at a table out on the front patio area, but sweat bees didn't take long to come around. Our Granddaughter was not crazy about the bees, so we moved indoors. Our order: Kids' Slider & Fries; Greektown Salad with Gyro Meat; and The Woodward Avenue Burger topped with seared onion, tomatoes, and pickles with a side of sweet potato fries. I was struggling with my decision and thanks to our stunning server, Jozefina, she assisted me in making the choice to go with The Woodward Avenue Burger. The restaurant/bar had a decent crowd for a Sunday afternoon. Our service was very good, and the food was top-notch. They have a full bar and numerous tvs to keep you busy while dining or having fun at the bar. I am glad we do not live close by, or I would probably gain weight like crazy eating these wonderful burgers and other menu items all the time. If you are fortunate enough to reside in the Lake Orion area, you need to check this place out!

By the time we left, it seemed to be a little more busy. I'm pretty sure there was only one waitress for both the bar and the dining room floor. The menus were sticky, especially the happy hour and drink my news. Lots of different cocktails. I ordered a margarita and was asked if I wanted a flavor. I asked for mango but then was told later they were out. So I went with blackberry. The drink was fine. It wasn't the best margarita I've ever had though. It's called O Grizzly's and there's some Oakland University nods inside. There were quite a few patrons wearing Golden Grizzly gear, there was a basketball game that night. But the place still feels gimmicky to me. A way to market Oakland University people and get them in the door but doesn't do much else after that. There really doesn't feel like a true affiliation with the University. Bathrooms are single stall and felt clean. The menu is not too overwhelming. Went with the blooming onions and they were absolutely delicious. Hot onions with a crunchy batter and a yummy dipping sauce. I went with the Tandoor wings as it was really played up on their menu. I got medium for sauce. My husband got chicken tenders and we ordered a side of fries. I was disappointed with my chicken wings. They were a good size but the skin was rubbery and some of the chicken tasted chewy. Also, the sauce was very runny, didn't really stick to the chicken wings. I am not sure where the Tandoor part was to the wing? They gave about five half sticks sliced in half of celery for nine wings, not enough at all. I asked for blue cheese but was given ranch. The fries were thicker, cut, and swirly, which are interesting and they had a good seasoning on them. Our waitress was friendly and decently attentive, considering she had to serve every table and run the bar. Food was coming out decently fast. But getting our check and cashing out took a while. It got to the point where my husband just went up to the bar where she was so we could cash out.

My wife had the fajitas and I decided on the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. The food came relatively quick. The chicken fingers were about the same but my son was happy. The pizza was pretty nondescript. I'd compare it to a low grade high school pizza with really nothing to recommend it. My wife appreciated the large size of the fajitas and salad but also found the fajitas unusually spicy. Sadly, the Nashville Chicken didn't really taste at all like Nashville Chicken. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't what was expected. The fries were good and we like the seasoning. But that's about the highlight of the night. I think this really will be the last time for me.

However, foodwise it falls a little short right at 2.5 stars reason being is that my friend ordered a medium rare steak but had to send it back because it was very bloody and the meat was very red and when she got a another steak it still wasn't cooked the way she had ordered it. My mac n cheese had more of an alfredo sauce taste rather than a cheesy sauce with hardly any bacon it also came out cold. I did order a baked potato on the side without sour cream and they did add the sour cream however the waiter was kind enough to bring me a potato without sour cream so no issues there. Again, the service was great but the food fell a little short.

For a "professionally grilled" steak the lower end of the strip and the entire filet was WAY overcooked and was served barely warm as were the very salty mushrooms and the mushy overcooked asparagus. Overall, I would rate this steak a 7/10 compared to the 9.5/10 at Texas Roadhouse. We went to both restaurants at 6:30pm on a Saturday and both parking lots were packed. Texas Roadhouse is a bigger restaurant and served a MUCH better steak. My wife said the salmon here was better and less salty.
