There's only two registers now with a large chunk taking up the pop machine and giving people their food after ordering. It just looks crammed for everyone customers and employees alike. Getting your order is the problem at this location in the mall. Since there's two registers, two employees will take customers. When they're done everyone heads to the pick-up area for the food. When food takes a while and two employees knock out orders so fast (which should never be a problem, who doesn't love fast service?) everyone crowds that pickup area. Employees call people's names. Customers go what? Who? What did they say? It's like your auctioning off chick fil a food when it comes time to pick it up. Then you have people mobile ordering standing in the pick up area. See what the problem is? Chick fil a somerset mall, you have some work to do. The first thing is moving to another location in the mall. Yea you're in the food court. We were at Somerset Collection on the third floor and spotted a food court. We saw Chick-fil-A and a little line. They had a sign offering their new seasonal item, Banana Pudding Milkshake. I wanted to try it. I stood in line and in five minutes a cashier approached me with an iPad and took my order. In a few more minutes I was picking up the milkshake at the counter. I usually love milkshakes, but this one was beyond sweet. It was literally diabetes in a cup. I could only finish half the cup and that was it for me. I have never and I mean never had a bad customer service experience with Chick-fil-A until today. Annie the Assistant Director was extremely rude. I waited for a while for my food as I did a mobile order. It stated listen for your name. I never heard my name. I did see others walking up to the mobile area. So I did the same and asked the young lady working am I supposed to get my named called or walk up? She said it doesn't matter, what's your name. I tell her and she hands me my food. Problem #1 I ordered a sun joy doesn't look like one. Employee oh our sweet tea machine is down so we gave you lemonade but I can do unsweetened tea if you want. No apology. Problem #2 fries were cold. I ask for new fries. Not everything new. Just fries. Annie, "let me see her ticket." She takes ticket from employee. Looks at me and says oh I'm not giving you new fries, your food has been ready so you're not getting new fries. Excuse me? I said. I told her we have been waiting and didn't hear our name get called. She says your name was called. She doesn't apologize she just says you can get a refund. We go to the cash register and she points to another employee and says she called your name. The employee looks at us both and says, I never called her name. I went back and forth with her and Allen another assistant director for a while with them consistently telling me there was no one else I could speak too and even if I called corporate Allen would be the one addressing the issue. My volume did go up and Allen asked me to use my inside voice. I expressed to him my frustrations and said I've never had a problem here before. I said I am spending almost $80 and I can't get hot fries or an apology. There is an extra charge for a sunjoy and they don't even tell me they are out. read more

During this whole time they yelled what they thought was my name but they clearly got it wrong. All the people waiting in line got their orders already except us. Finally I asked where our order was and they said we were in the wrong line. I got what I thought was a manager and they quickly got the order in 1 minute - grab. Grab grab, done. Still like this place but disappointed they discontinued the cheese sauce that goes with the chicken sandwiches, I never minded paying extra, as busy as they still are, they should be able to afford the cheese sauce or Replace it with another sauce. I love Chick-fil-A! Chicken nuggets were great and lemonade is always a hit! Workers also give their best effort and make sure customers have a good experience. The Peacock Cafe is a wonderful place to chill out, relax, and enjoy a lovely meal. It can sometimes be a shame when the Chick-fil-A craving cannot be satisfied on a Sunday. Maybe I shouldn't let the secret out, but if you live in metro Detroit, this is the location that you don't have to wait in a long line of cars and spend almost an hour. But that one in Allen Park still has the full menu. Here you have 6 choices - sandwiches, strips, or nuggets. Waffle fries only side. Can Pop is it. But if those are the normal stuff you get, you don't notice what is missing. Set up also had to the quickness, one line if you are paying cash and 1 for those with cards. 2 cash registers so 2 cars can order and pay. 2 order takers in other line. Both line blend after order but you give your name and they just ask for your name when bringing order to your car. I had to pull up when mine came up after car behind me but I didn't mind since that is the polite thing to do. Well thought out and professional. Maybe the Allen Park location should simplify their menu until dinning in comes back. First time ever that we had it. The two pops were put in a container that was very flimsy and all over my front seat when I got home, which is less than five minutes away. The french fries were cold, and the chicken looked like it had been sitting there for a while it was dark and not crispy and tough. Mention it to my daughter and she said we were the first one she heard that did not enjoy Chick-fil-A we told her we would not recommend it to anybody. There aren't many Chick-fil-A in the Metro Detroit area to say the least and this location is at the food court of the Somerset Collection, so while the mall itself is semi-upscale, it doesn't have much of an ambiance. Nonetheless, it is always significantly busy here. The overall experience and quality could be a bit better but again, this isn't a standalone location. Super sad. I was debating between a salad and a sandwich before landing on the Market salad. It was the lunchtime rush so I ordered on the app, dashed inside the mall and rode the elevator to the 3rd floor to get to chikfila, grabbed my bag, and went to the car. When I got to my destination after pulling off, I realized that not only did I not get the dressing I asked for, I only had one strawberry in my salad, half of my lettuce "leaves" were comprised of the core/ white parts of the lettuce head, and my salad container was not full. Lemonade is fire just like Lavell Crawford said! All I had was the Lemonade so I don't have anything else to say.

I was kind unsure who service would be since the line was so long. The line went by fast and during the Line they took our order. Then after a couple minutes they gave us our drinks and then in less than ten minutes our order was ready. They got the order correctly too which at times fast food places don't get the order correctly. The food was awesome and the fries were definitely hot and very good. We were totally satisfied with our visit. I wish they had more tables to sit at. We will definitely be back again the next time we come shopping. read more

I've gone to this location a few times, all pre-COVID. The best quality about this place is probably the fast, friendly service. The service is especially quick when using the mobile app to order. It's a smooth, easy process and you can bypass much of the long line. As for the food, the Chick-fil-A sauce is probably my favorite part. It is a creamy, tangy sauce that really elevates sandwiches and nuggets. I know people rave about the chicken sandwiches, but to be honest, I find the chicken to be soggy and the sandwich overall to be tasty, but nothing extraordinary. This might be sacrilegious to some, but I do like Popeye's chicken sandwich better - the chicken is actually crunchy and the brioche bun is superior to the basic bun at Chick-fil-A. The chicken nuggets at Chick-fil-A were quite salty the last time I went. The waffle fries were solid - crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside, just like they should be. 2020-02-07. Chick-Fil-A. Somerset Collection North Food Court. Today I had a chicken breast sandwich. I had placed the order via the app, and I still stand behind the apps MO 100%. I was about an hour out and placed my order knowing I'd be in the area. When I arrived, I entered my code into the tablet at the pick up counter and my order was ready within 5 minutes. So what's the big deal right? Well, you need to know that in addition to a bunch of people already hanging around waiting for their orders, there was also a rather large queue of people waiting to place their orders! Check out my pics if you don't believe me. The queue would be about 45 minutes if I had joined it, and that is just to place your order! Then you will need to lounge around another 10-15 minutes to get it. Without the app, I honestly would not be dining here. Man, I have no idea what they do to their chicken, but it's still the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The patty is a pure chicken breast lightly breaded making it crispy on the outside and super tender and juicy on the inside. The breast meat is not processed, and you'll know it once you take your first bite. You get to customize your sandwich but I went with the standard butter bun with pickles and mayonnaise. The toppings come at an additional charge and prices vary. Lettuce and tomato is like $0.20, cheese $0.30, and bacon will run you about $1.24, everything else is somewhere in between. I've had this before with lettuce, tomato, and pepper jack and I recall it being a tad on the salty side, hence my "naked" sandwich today. The sandwich was not as salty as before, so I'm glad to know that the chicken wasn't the source. They're not exactly cheap, but they're not outrageously expensive either. The base sandwich is $4,29 and you do get some quality for what they charge. Between this and their chicken nuggets (both crispy and grilled), I prefer no other place. The only thing is that you need to consume the food fresh. This location is in the food court at Somerset mall, so they only have carry out, but there is plenty of public seating in the dining area. While I'm not a huge fan of fast food, I make a few exceptions. And Chick-fil-A as one of these. I'm so thrilled to have a Chick-fil-A in the airport and now at Somerset Mall. Please open one closer to the Novi/West Bloomfield area. I promise I'll visit. This location often have a line but using the app you can bypass it. This way service is super fast. The chicken really can't be beat for fast food and I love the Polynesian sauce. The frozen lemonade is delicious. I don't often order the fries but when I do the waffle fries are great because they have a lot of texture and taste. I love that when I order from the app they seem to almost always include a chocolate chip cookie for free. I often bring home to my kids it's just a really nice touch. read more

We were wondering how the other businesses function with Chick fil-a here, they had a line of at least 30 people when we walked by, then went back and stood in line after we ran our errands. The line might look intimidating, but it moves along pretty well. The food was warm and not hot when we received it, but they were slammed, so it's understandable. What I love best about their food is that it's not only consistently good, it's probably the only fast food place that has their food actually look like the photos in their ads. I also love that their spicy chicken sandwiches are actually spicy. My teen even opted to stand in line and wait for their food, and she hadn't eaten since breakfast (It was 7pm at this point) Next time I'll probably use their app and order ahead. I forgot I had it on my phone since the times I try to use it for the EMU location always shows me an error message. I've been here a handful of times since they opened and it's never bad. In fact, I've been known to come to Somerset specifically for Chick-Fil-A. Sure, the line is a bit overwhelming and daunting at first. On a busy Saturday evening the line might even go past the Peacock Cafe and hover around some of the nearby shows. Don't let that deter you, however! Typically friendly CFA employees are on their devices taking your orders and answering all questions you may have while you browse the menu. My favorite thing to get is the Number one combo, which is the Crispy Chicken sandwich and waffle fries. The chicken is the crispest and freshest chicken I've ever had from a fast food restaurant. The fries are never soggy. The Zesty Buffalo sauce that I add to it definitely adds a nice kick of flavor! My only real complaint, which isn't that big of a deal, is the tiny wait area to get your food. CFA is squashed between a salad place and Mrs. Fields Cookies. There's always a small group of people waiting to get their order after they pay and it gets a tad claustrophobic. Again, not a big deal. However my local mall Sommerset (Troy, MI) was blessed with a brand new opening of Chick-fil-A. It officially opened for a couple years now but I recently got to try it. It has the longest line and I waited a good 10 minutes for it. However it was so worth because the meat that they serve is different than other fast foods. What should I say it taste more real? Haha. Hands down this is the best take-out salad I've ever received!!! From the freshness of greens and ingredients to the generous portion, right down to the protective, quality packaging. It tasted fresh, delicious and filling like a good entree portion salad should! I ordered the Cobb salad and included the extras (no charge) - "tomato crispy red bell peppers" which add a nice tasty crunch to the salad and the garlic herb ranch dressing. The greens were fresh and cut into nice size pieces. They weren't soggy like you get with most takeout places and sometimes at restaurants. All ingredients were fresh and proportionate to the amount of greens, not too much or too little. This simple Cobb salad tasted great and was prepared and packaged for take out better than most restaurants. BIG KUDOS to Chic-fil-A's mobile app and their ability to take large, complex orders and fill them with 100% accuracy!!!! I ordered a pretty large takeout order via their mobile app and it worked perfectly. I didn't have to wait long once I entered my code in at the kiosk. What's great also is that my order was 100% accurate. Chic-fil-A's menu has a lot of options such as ordering the extras for the salad. It would have one think that more than likely something will be missed, especially in a large order but that was not so with my order and I was pleasantly surprised.
