In recent weeks I have repeatedly ordered their macaroni and cheese bites along with a ricotta cheese pizza and or their tasty tye dye pizza. For those of you not in the know, it is the perfect balance and combination of classic pesto, vodka and marina sauce made into a rectangular shaped pie. Whats not to like here, as all three flavors just work. It is a party in my mouth and it has me hooked. Unfortunately the pickup time continues to be long. When I'm told 25 minutes, the actual time my order is ready is in 45-50 minutes. I try not to nitpick but this has been happening consistently. This week, I happened to have a hankering for some apps so I spur of the moment called in for their west ave sampler. I was excited to try it, as the description on their website said the sampler comes with mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, onion rings, breaded mushrooms, mac and cheese bites, chicken tenders and fried ravioli with your choice of 2 sauces. I didn't expect a mountain of apps but a nice serving size. I asked if I could substitute the jalapeño poppers for extra mac and cheese bites as I cannot eat spicy. I was told over the phone no problem which I thought was very nice. After grabbing my order and driving home, I noticed that the mac and cheese bites were missing. I called over and was placed on hold after telling them about the missing item. When the lady got back on the line, she said she checked with the kitchen and was told it was in my order. She then said I don't know where your mac and cheese bites could have gone! I am stumped as she was putting the blame on me. I am a truthful person and would never think to do something dishonest like that. You can only imagine how taken aback I was. In my opinion mistakes happen all the time so I was not calling to give them a hard time. I only wanted to get the extra mac and cheese bites that I initially asked for. After some hesitation over the phone, I was told that they would make an order of said item which I could either pickup or they would deliver. I was happy that they delivered the item to me, as I am not far. It took awhile to receive, as the long wait time is the norm here. Alas, when I got my delivery it was not the extra mac and cheese bites that I originally asked for but 5 small nuggets. Again, not to harp on things but I am a customer willing to pay more if that's what it takes. I am not one to expect it to be given to me. Needless to say, these experiences has left me sad. I really wanted West Ave Pizza to be one of my regular go to's. Their pizza is good, but customer service and overall issues here are just too much for me.

Luckily, the owners of Lucky Peking were kind enough to call me and ask if we canceled the order. I explained that we had not and that Mealeo had. They were also very upset that happened (through no fault of their own) and then offered to deliver it themselves even though at this point they were now closed and had also been waiting around for the Mealeo driver to arrive.
