I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at Lost Pizza Co. on Nine Mile Road in…read morePensacola during Music Bingo Night on July 28, 2026. While dining with my children, I was injured by a defective chair at our table. I was scooting or moving my chair so another guest could get past me and I grabbed the chair I was sitting in to slide it forward. The seat cushion was not properly secured on the left side (while the right side was secured), causing the cushion to unexpectedly lift when I attempted to move the chair inward. My left ring finger slipped underneath the cushion and was forced against the metal chair frame, causing an immediate and painful injury. My finger became bruised, numb, and painful, affecting my ability to use it normally. I reported the incident to the manager on duty, Sahai. His response was extremely concerning: "Yeah, we know about that chair. We had it flipped over and someone must have flipped it back." If management was aware that this chair was defective, leaving it available for customers to use raises serious safety concerns and appears to be a preventable act of negligence. I showed the manager my injury and pointed out the condition of the chair, but I did not feel my injury or the safety hazard was taken seriously. I have photos documenting both the defective chair and my injury. I contacted the company afterward requesting a response and information about how they planned to address the situation, but I have not received one. I hope Lost Pizza takes this matter seriously and ensures defective equipment is removed from customer areas before another person is injured. Good pizza, but unsafe chairs and poor customer service. Do better.

I got the 10 piece combo (with crinkle cut fries and a drink), with the X-Hot sauce and extra crispy. Service was pretty quick and correct. The wings were fantastic, meaty with no flab or gristle. Many places have "wing sauce" that's just cayenne powder and a ton of vinegar, but this is actual sauce, and delicious. I absolutely cleaned the bones. Fries were decent. Of course it came with the obligatory two pieces of celery and two carrot sticks with ranch sauce (commercial brand). Drink selection is lemonade, pink lemonade, peach drink, fruit punch, or water. Happily the lemonade wasn't ridiculously sweet. Overall, a great plate of food and definitely scratches that wing itch. I'm curious about the gyros now.

Our first visit did not disappoint. Anne and I were joined for lunch by a friend that we had not seen in close to sixty years. We're here in our hometown for three or four weeks twice a year, spring and fall. And when here we want mullet. Lots of mullet. And The Fishing Hole is one of the restaurants here that delivers the goods. We prefer just mullet with no sides, often accompanied by a dozen oysters on the half shell. The Fishing Hole offers this option. They have here a very nice a la carte menu. The 3 ounces of mullet sells for $5.20 and consists of three nice fillets. Very reasonable! On our friend's recommendation Anne and I shared a bowl of the shrimp and crab chowder. The fish is flavorfully coated and perfectly fried... moist meat that beautifully flakes apart. The creamy chowder is a shrimp and crab lover's dream. We amped up the heat to our taste with a few dashes of Crystal hot sauce. The chowder is definitely a do again dish for us. Our friend ordered the a la carte fried oysters and they looked so good we're returning today to give them a try (along with more mullet, of course). I enjoyed a draft Jai Alai IPA, and as bottles of wine were half price we shared a Gabbiano pinot grigio that proved to be quite nice. A perfect compliment to the fish and chowder. Service was prompt, very cordial and perfectly attentive. Looking forward to a repeat today for lunch.

The burger, man this thing had so much going on, I don't know where to start. The patties were fresh and cooked to perfection, the Sammie sauce is amazing and the slaw takes it right over the top.
