Even though this is a chain restaurant, we really felt like it was a local bar. Our service was excellent. I really liked the feel of the bar and we got to enjoy some great football games while we were there. We both ordered burgers which were top-notch and I did not get a photograph of them because we ate them so fast. Their onion rings are the best. Came here to watch the Browns /Bears game. Sat at the bar as there are multiple televisions. Ordered drinks and was looking at menu when manager came by and noticed our Browns garb. He told us there were tables reserved for Browns fans if we wanted to move. We were contemplating when bartender Abby came by for our order. I told her we may be moving to the reserved spots and she got snarky with me, saying that we would have to go out to the host stand to move!! Really??? We were just invited to move. We decided to stay put anyway, but after a while, it got really cold at the bar. I asked "sweet" Abby if they could turn up the heat. Again, I was met with a snotty attitude saying that other people said it was warm. Of course the female manager came and told me that the heat was on all the way. We come here often, but the last 2 times it was cold with the fans running ( did I mention that the fans were running full blast?) . I think we will be finding a new place to go to watch games. Ordered a Spicy Habanero burger, lettuce wrapped. It was delicious and quite spicy. Totally worth the price. Service was excellent and was able to sit on the patio. The only negative was that the inside portion of restaurant is very cold. Recommend you bring a jacket or sweater. read more

There was no wait time, which was a great start, and both our appetizers and main dishes came out quickly. The food was definitely the highlight. The traditional wings were amazing whatever sauce they use was full of flavor and the shotgun shrimp were just as good. The seasoned salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted spot on. We popped in on a Monday evening for $10.99 burger day. Any of the 1/2 lb. Burgers on the menu with fries is $10.99. That's a darn good deal! We were greeted and seated right away. Amy, our server, was friendly, efficient, prompt , and attentive. I ordered the habanero burger; it was very tasty but didn't have any kind of kick, which was just a little bit of a let down. But, as I said the flavor was really good! The place kind of has a sports bar vibe with lots of TVs mounted, but an eclectic mix of music is playing, with some of the TVs airing the associated videos. I heard songs and saw videos from the 80's, 90's, 2000's, and later. Good mix! Usually love this place, but when you show up at 11:15 am with an empty parking lot and get told you have a half hour wait to get seated because there's no servers and people piling up in the lobby it's pretty off putting. Are we supposed to wait half an hour for a server to get in then wait another hour for our food because of all the people being sat at the same time? Our server Jessy was amazing super friendly and very attentive to our needs. She recommended some of her favorites and explained what some of the menu options were. The food arrived fairly quickly. Husband got the fish and I'm telling you I almost stole his food ..... I don't even like fish . It was amazing . My chicken sandwich was on home made bread ! Decided to give Bubba's a try, after moving here recently! Our waiter was super helpful and refilled our drinks right at halfway. I got the hottest sauce for the chicken sandwich and it was good but tasted more like buffalo sauce than habanero. Now the fire fries... Those were delicious! Finally tried this place and all I can say is that I was super surprised. So this stand alone restaurant (chain) has plenty of parking. As a sport bar goes, there's plenty of monitors throughout the place. On my visit the restaurant was fairly busy. That is usually a good indication in my book. And I really love that they support veterans and give them a free meal (limited menu). Bring my first ever visit to a Bubba's 33, I went with the classic bacon cheeseburger with fries. I did look over the menu and there were lots of items that I could have tried. But a burger is always a safe bet. Unfortunately, this was the exception. The meat, the cheese, and even the bacon were flavorless. Adding tons of pepper didn't help. Ketchup and mayo helped a little, but it was still pretty bland. With all the customers there, I can only hope I just happened to select the one item they don't make well. I'm game to try this place again because I really liked the atmosphere. We started food with Chili Cheese Fries, they were hot and fresh! I had the Italian Chopped Salad & it was probably the best I have ever had! Food says scratch made. Wide variety on menu typical American menu. I was surprised how tasty the meal turned out. They had specials for Alabama fans- yellow hammer and Denny dog with great prices and value. We ordered off the menu. Poblano spinach dip served with both tortilla chips with a small bit of salsa and two pieces of focaccia. Yummy. Not spicy. Ordered the Philly cheesesteak- delicious and huge. Bubba's service is what brought down this review a bit. We went and I ordered a burger. They asked how I wanted it and I say well done. When it came out, it was bright pink even to the very edge and looked like it had barely touched the grill. It took about 30 minutes to get a server to come to the table and fix it. They were embarrassed by it and did go to fix it, but by the time they came back with a new burger, everyone else at the table had already finished their food so I didn't even get a chance to eat mine. Also, The wings we ordered for appetizers did not come out until AFTER our entrees arrived. Although this was frustrating, the raspberry chipotle wings are some of the best things that I have ever eaten in my life, which is why I am giving this a three star review. Do NOT get the pizza here. In a typical sports bar with football games on tv screens blaring, the "ambiance" energized the atmosphere. While hard to talk over it, you still could make yourself be heard. While Jared's service was both timely and impeccable, the Pizza was mediocre. In particular the cacophony of flavors in the "33" works pizza overshadowed the minuscule amount of cheese. If you go to Bubba's don't order pizza, or order two sides ($3 a blob?) of extra cheese. Stick with their burgers , they know them better. Also, their Monte Cristo is an ok version of one of my favorites. Be selective and know the strengths of each kitchen-- you are paying the money for quality. read more

Disappointing Experience - Not Vegan-Friendly and Poor Service We had a really disappointing experience at Bubba's 33 in Pensacola. We came in thinking they had a black bean burger (which they used to offer), but apparently they recently changed their menu--and haven't updated it online, which was misleading. We tried to order a veggie pizza with no cheese (something we've done at many restaurants), but they said they couldn't accommodate that. With very few options left, we just ordered fries--which still took around 25 minutes to come out. When checking out on the tablet, we noticed two orders of fries were on the check, even though we only ordered one. We caught the error and had to ask for it to be corrected before they brought them out. To top it off, I accidentally clicked a button on the tablet that added a $2 charge for games we didn't use, and there was no clear way to undo it. Between the slow service, unhelpful staff, and lack of plant-based options, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Definitely won't be back. read more

We came in at about 5 PM today and there was a single gentleman in front of us and they sat him. The girl came back and asked if we wanted a table or a high top. I answered table and then she said I can't seat you now because we are having a staff meeting, you will have to wait here 5 to 10 minutes. About 1/2 the tables in the place were empty so I was surprised and asked her to just seat us and we would understand that it would take a few minutes for someone to get to us. She said no we would have to wait to be seated. I asked to talk to a Manager but she said they weren't available because they were going to the meeting and she would get in trouble if she sat us. I said you just sat that other person and I don't want to stand for 10 minutes (I am 69 years old) when there are plenty of available tables. I tried to convince her to seat us as were discussing the situation back and forth a few other couples came in, I was there with my son and had just come from the airport and was very hungry so we decided to go somewhere else. I won't be back, her attitude was ridiculous, it was 5 PM on a Friday evening, why would you make older customers wait for a nonsense reason, who has a staff meeting on a Friday evening during the dinner hour. OMG!! I wanna know where's Bubba!! This was the best burger I've had in a longgggg time!! In the Pensacola area visiting friends so we stopped in for a bite the place was crowded but we were seated right away. I ordered the Bacon Burger with a side of onion rings. The burger (2 patties) were juicy, the bacon was crisp and the topping were fresh. The "Bubba Sauce" a mixture of bbq sauce, sour cream with other spices ok ok I know it sounds crazy but IT WAS DELICIOUS!!
