Bubba's service is what brought down this review a bit. We went and I ordered a burger. They asked how I wanted it and I say well done. When it came out, it was bright pink even to the very edge and looked like it had barely touched the grill. It took about 30 minutes to get a server to come to the table and fix it. They were embarrassed by it and did go to fix it, but by the time they came back with a new burger, everyone else at the table had already finished their food so I didn't even get a chance to eat mine. Also, The wings we ordered for appetizers did not come out until AFTER our entrees arrived. Although this was frustrating, the raspberry chipotle wings are some of the best things that I have ever eaten in my life, which is why I am giving this a three star review. First visit to Bubba's and I enjoyed it very much! I had their chicken wings and they were very good. The service was good. The restaurant reminded me of a country diner from 60's. Do NOT get the pizza here. In a typical sports bar with football games on tv screens blaring, the "ambiance" energized the atmosphere. While hard to talk over it, you still could make yourself be heard. While Jared's service was both timely and impeccable, the Pizza was mediocre. In particular the cacophony of flavors in the "33" works pizza overshadowed the minuscule amount of cheese. If you go to Bubba's don't order pizza, or order two sides ($3 a blob?) of extra cheese. Stick with their burgers , they know them better. Also, their Monte Cristo is an ok version of one of my favorites. Be selective and know the strengths of each kitchen-- you are paying the money for quality. read more

In the Pensacola area visiting friends so we stopped in for a bite the place was crowded but we were seated right away. I ordered the Bacon Burger with a side of onion rings. The burger (2 patties) were juicy, the bacon was crisp and the topping were fresh. The "Bubba Sauce" a mixture of bbq sauce, sour cream with other spices ok ok I know it sounds crazy but IT WAS DELICIOUS!! Disappointing Experience - Not Vegan-Friendly and Poor Service We had a really disappointing experience at Bubba's 33 in Pensacola. We came in thinking they had a black bean burger (which they used to offer), but apparently they recently changed their menu--and haven't updated it online, which was misleading. We tried to order a veggie pizza with no cheese (something we've done at many restaurants), but they said they couldn't accommodate that. With very few options left, we just ordered fries--which still took around 25 minutes to come out. When checking out on the tablet, we noticed two orders of fries were on the check, even though we only ordered one. We caught the error and had to ask for it to be corrected before they brought them out. To top it off, I accidentally clicked a button on the tablet that added a $2 charge for games we didn't use, and there was no clear way to undo it. Between the slow service, unhelpful staff, and lack of plant-based options, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Definitely won't be back. read more

We recently visited Bubbas after a week-long stay in Pensacola. I was a bit apprehensive at first but due to the location of our hotel in proximity to Bubbas, it made it ideal to visit multiple times during our stay. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Once we sat down, we were greeted almost immediately by a staff member that went over whatever the daily special was. Once we ordered, the food and drinks came out fairly quickly. All of the food we ordered on all three trips was fresh and tasted good. Over the course of our trips we had fried cheese, pizza, wings, burgers BUT the nachos!!!! OMG the nachos were amazing. The restaurant is very family friendly, there are many TVs that played a variety of "America's Funniest Home video" type clips, sports, and a combination of 90s/2000s hits. The only thing was that it was freezing in there. Other than that, this was a nice chill spot to visit. read more

Stopped here on the way to driving to Jacksonville since it was one of the only places open past 9pm. It did not disappoint. The onion rings were on point. We loved the shrimp appetizer. This is our second visit to a Bubbas on a one week road trip. The last one we went to in Texas had amazing burgers and fries but was dirty. It was busy and I guess they just couldn't keep up. We opted another go as it was tasty. This location was super clean. We ordered different things this time. Pizza which rocked. Shrimp app that was awesome and lasagna, a signature dish that was meh. The lasagna noodles were tough. The cheese inside not very melty. And it was overly salty. Overall we liked the place. Service is outstanding! The place is set up pretty smart with handy places for napkins and dishes so the waitstaff doesn't have to go very far. Also they seem to work well as a team. Service was impressive. My only beef was I'm pretty sure I got norovirus there. It probably came from the device used to make payments and is also a game console. Handy as it is, it is everyone's cell phone and we all know how dirty our own can get. read more

Now I'm no Bubba's connoisseur or nothing but I know a damn good burger when I have one. Charred to perfection and sittin in between two brioché style buns, this one hit home. It reminded me of growing up out in the stix and my grand pappy would build a fire out back and set up a mesh grill over it. He'd be out there just flippin burgers and drankin shine, end up feeding the whole damn neighborhood and not remember a bit the next day. Anyways, he used these real nice brioché buns that had a mild sweet flavor to them. Bubba's buns reminds me of that. We came in at about 5 PM today and there was a single gentleman in front of us and they sat him. The girl came back and asked if we wanted a table or a high top. I answered table and then she said I can't seat you now because we are having a staff meeting, you will have to wait here 5 to 10 minutes. About 1/2 the tables in the place were empty so I was surprised and asked her to just seat us and we would understand that it would take a few minutes for someone to get to us. She said no we would have to wait to be seated. I asked to talk to a Manager but she said they weren't available because they were going to the meeting and she would get in trouble if she sat us. I said you just sat that other person and I don't want to stand for 10 minutes (I am 69 years old) when there are plenty of available tables. I tried to convince her to seat us as were discussing the situation back and forth a few other couples came in, I was there with my son and had just come from the airport and was very hungry so we decided to go somewhere else. I won't be back, her attitude was ridiculous, it was 5 PM on a Friday evening, why would you make older customers wait for a nonsense reason, who has a staff meeting on a Friday evening during the dinner hour. Bubbas has gone from HERO to ZERO for me. The one deal breaker for me in any restaurant is lack of cleanliness! We arrived on a Saturday at opening, order drinks, apps and was given silverware. Upon inspection of the silverware both of our setups were filthy YUK!!! We brought this to the attention of our server Anthony who appears to still be asleep. No apology, he just takes it away, and brings us a new setup along with our onion rings app. Guess what... The new silverware was just as filthy as the first set! (You'd think he'd inspect the replacements) Our onion rings were obviously cooked in oil that was not quite up to temperature, so they were too greasy to eat. Nasty! I never did tell the manager about the sticky floor underneath our table. YUK! We found Anthony, told him to cancel our order and left. Any restaurant who's cleanliness standards are this low, is not worthy of our hard earned cash. This makes about my 5th and last trip to Bubbas. We won't be back! read more

Service was excellent! We started with the crooked fried cheese, which was surprisingly very good. The marinara was basic. I ordered the habanero burger with a side of the fire fries. The burger meat was decent, but the fixings with it were very good. The fried cheese was different and I liked it. There was very good heat coming from the sandwich. The bun was a little hard to cut through with the knife. I got the fire seasoning on the side so I could control it. It was good with a medium dust on it. The only thing about the fries was that they were a little cool. Overall, the food was good l, service was excellent, and ambience was a little loud from the music but good. The service was great, great environment. I am giving a 1 because of the food. Last year I tried bubbas 33 for the first time. I ordered a chicken sandwich. I assumed from the menu that it would have some sort of spicy sauce. What arrived was a large piece of chicken on a dry bun. When I asked about it the response was that the spice is a powder they add to the breading. Strike 1. Last Wednesday I decided to give them another try. This time I ordered what I thought was a safe choice pizza. Nope. I ordered pepperoni with onions and salami. What I received was a burned piece of crust, no tomato sauce and one piece of salami. It was a very dry burned piece of very flat bread. The service is great the staff is wonderful but the over priced food sucks. read more
