Every place seems to have their "burger joint" and Pensacola is no different. I had at least three people tell me I needed to go here and check it out. Having spent a major chunk of my life in Texas, where the local "burger joint" was more like a work of art, I was wondering what I would find when I got to Bibba's. What I found was a very pleasant experience, and a top-notch burger and fries! Let me be clear, if you do not get the bacon cheese fries, then you missed a major event in your life. The walls are quite literally lined with big screen TVs, so no matter which direction I sat, I could watch the game I was interested in. I did my normal routine when I go to a new place, which is ask my waiter, "what is the best thing you guys have here?" Well, I don't know if it was the best, but it was certainly an amazing burger, with lots of Bacon and toppings. Bubba's was very accommodating to us, as we had our dog, but were looking for a bite to eat. They sat us in an outside booth that was still nice and air conditioned. This was our first trip to Bubbas 33 and it will not be our last! The service was wonderful and friendly, and the food was delicious. They gave you Large portions. I had the hamburger with fries and my wife had a fish sandwich with fries. We also enjoyed garlic, knots and chips with salsa. All of our food was delicious. We will be bringing our guest back here at our next visit! Price of our food was a very reasonable price burger meal was around $13 as was the fish meal. Both appetizers for around eight bucks apiece The atmosphere was more exciting than noisy lots of televisions to watch it look like everyone was having a relaxing, enjoyable meal. Me and my family ate here the past weekend for the first time and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere I had ordered the Red Devil Margarita drink and I thought it was tasty n spicy... i think they put jalapeños to make it a little spicy but i enjoyed it..they chopped up small green red bell peppers and put it in the drink... the entree I ordered was the spicy habanero burger and It was soo good and spicy... if you like spicy foods this is a most...the fries was delish to that goes well with the burger... I had the chicken parmesan with season fries it was pretty good tons of cheese but over all had great flavor. I ordered a ginger ale but it came flat and they ran out and the server offered to make me some which he said was coke sprite and lemonade. I don't think I would want to try fake ginger ale. My n laws had the pizza and said it was pretty good they enjoyed it. We also had garlic knots which were warm and had very good flavor and the garlic wasn't over powering. Used to enjoy going here. The food that we've tried was all great. Their pizza was great. We also always ordered wings naked with the buffalo sauce on the side. About our 6th trip or so there the sauce came out cold and looking curdled. We asked for it to be replaced, but was advised.. "that's how it always looks when it's cold, (in my mind I was thinking no shyt Sherlock) ‍‍‍ it can't be heated up the way it heated is when it mixed with hot chicken wings" We let them know that in the past we have always ordered this way and we were met with a manager whom advised the same nonsense... This was our first time dining and in Pensacola. Gabby helped us. She's great!! So sweet and offered good suggestions. There was also a nice lady, I think manager in a purple shirt that checked on our table. She was also nice. We were happy with our service. Pizza is excellent! We're NYers. My wife was also completely satisfied with her food. She ordered a chicken sandwich. We both had house salads prior to entree delivery. Went on Sat night! Food was great but our waiter kept talking like full conversations with the table behind us. I don't know if he knew them or not we ran out of drinks during our meal and he was still talking to that table we ran out of napkins he was still talking to that table. If you haven't been to Bubbas 33 then you definitely need to go try it. We first walk in and greeted immediately. All the employees that we had the pleasure of seeing would acknowledge you. They were all respectful and nice. The wait was only about 5-15 minutes. Once we were seated our waitress came to introduce herself within a few minutes. She was extremely helpful and nice and took our drink order. I'm not sure if my spelling is how she spells it but her name was Britain. She was very quick to bring our drinks minus the alcohol. The tables were clean and they were not sticky. Also had the pleasure of meeting Erin who I assume is the assistant manager. The last trip we ordered the blackened bleu burger with sweet potato fries and fish and chips with fries and Cole slaw. Both dishes were great. We knew we had to come back and try more. December 20th we took our youngest for her birthday and started with fried pickles which were great. Then I had the shotgun shrimp (just the right amount of spicy) with fries, my husband had the chicken parm sandwich with onion rings, one kid had the bacon Mac n cheese and the other fried shrimp with fries and Cole slaw. For the birthday girl she ordered the chocolate chip cookie sundae. The cookie was cooked perfect. It was crunchy on the ends and nice and warm on the inside paired with some vanilla ice cream and whipped cream was a great combination. All the food we had, had no complaints. My family and I will be going back to explore more of the menu. I will say this place had the best employees. The bathrooms were clean for the most part minus the little pieces of paper towels and bonus points for the extra privacy. Stopped here on the way to Santa Rosa Bch. It reminds me of an upscale Applebees or Fudduckers but better. We all got burgers and wings, nothing to write home about but not bad. They have wings, pizzas, burgers/sandwiches, seafood, steaks and tons of options to satisfy picky eaters. The Dickie V pizza is my favorite, topped with itallian sausage, cherry peppers, basil and parm, 10/10 would recommend. The crust is thin and crispy with a garlic butter taste. My boyfriend loves their burgers, they use beef and bacon ground patties which are a must try! If you can't go without an appetizer, get the chorizo queso or the shotgun shrimp. Each server was friendly and very informative of any reason that would cause a longer wait for our food on top of being very observant of our needs and accommodated our wants. First off I gotta say I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but this was one of the worst meals I've ever had in my life. The waiter told us that they could not do a virgin margarita, because the bar doesn't want to make them without alcohol. He also told my wife that they would not put Mayo on her sandwich because diners may have a potential allergy, but they'd give her a side of it to put on herself (what?!) When we asked his opinion on the sandwich options he said "they're nasty, I don't like them." So I ordered the Mac and cheese. It came out with frozen spots, clearly microwaved. I asked for it to be heated up some, and 45 seconds later they came back out with the plate. I ate (quite literally) four bites and didn't touch the rest. When I told him it was nasty he said "yeah it's hit or miss" and shrugged. Our bill came and the Mac and cheese was still on there. Four....bites-and that was four too many! Will never come back. Go to McGuires or Crabs, or heck, even Cheddars. This place is detestable. (Pictures shows grease dripping from my wife's grilled chicken sandwich) Update: An hour later my wife is now throwing her food up, let's hope the rest of the family doesn't end up sick too. We were in from out of town visiting a friend who lives here. A lot of our group are Browns fans and we found Bubbas because they're a Browns Backers bar. Our group of 9 showed up and from 11 am to 5 pm, the staff were on point and never disappointed. Micah was so awesome making sure we had everything we needed and the kitchen was on point. Everything we had (most of the apps) pizza, & entrees were fantastic and reasonably priced. I wish I had taken pics of the food. Even the manager came out and checked on us a few times. They were so well staffed and it was refreshing to see a fully staffed restaurant. read more
