I know I definitely need to try more items from here. I tried the linguine, Apple pie, and the sweet potato pie. The linguine was very clearly homemade and tasted delicious. The portion was very solid for just $5. They had numerous kinds of vegetables, like mini broccoli bits, tomatoes, and more. The oil was well seasoned and very tasty. Nice bit of acidity as well. Very good, and the pasta was cooked perfectly! Came in classic cold form like with pasta salads. The apple pie was again so good. They had huge pieces of apples in there. The crust was very well made. Not too sweet, and the "sweet sauce" portion of it was great as well. Amazing portion, nice homey taste. I have never tried sweet potato pie, but now I know it's actually very good! I didn't even order sweet potato pie, but they gave it to me for free, as it was just a few days after Thanksgiving. They are the best! This sweet potato pie wasn't too sweet and the portion was very large for the price! You get your own mini pie for $5. The inside is creamy and has the perfect level of sweetness. The outside provides a nice crisp for contrast. I love it! All in all, this place is simply awesome. They have lots of delicious items on the menu, and I can't wait to go back. Amazing desserts, great prices, great portions, fresh food, and great owners!

I felt the prices were reasonable and would definitely recommend this place!

Famous for their fish sandwich, Pittsburgh nachos, and wings. The entire menu has something for everyone. Classic dive bar, local spot that serves up classic and timeless comfort food. It has stood up through the test of time and I'm glad to see the business continues to flourish. Their food is tasty and beer is cold but what makes this place stand out from the rest is the people. The staff who works there is always polite and attentive. You can find the two brothers who manage the place often times laughing and conversing with patrons at the bar whenever they are not hustling and helping out with running orders to tables. The atmosphere feels like you're getting a hug from a friendly neighbor as a familiar face is not far away. While getting a spot at the bar on a Friday or Saturday night can be tough, don't fret because there is ample seating in the back room or on the open/closed porch (depending on the weather). The location is clutch. There is a Shop N Save across the street if you decide to get groceries. Need gas? There's a gas station two buildings up. Need more beer for after the bar? There's a beer distributor attached to the gas station! Need your car worked on? There's an auto shop next door! Drop your vehicle off and stop in to Carl's while you wait! Simply put, the place is a classic!

I tried their catfish nuggets with coleslaw and fries as well as their funnel cake fries. The catfish nuggets just weren't the best. The fish itself was very thin and slimy. There was a ton of gray meat as well. The breading was kind of strange and tasted very strong of cornstarch and vinegar. Some of the breading was falling off, too. Not the best. The coleslaw wasn't any better. It came in a very small portion. Additionally, it was super liquids and sweet. There wasn't any creaminess. Overall not good. The french fries were actually pretty decent, though. They were crispy and cooked well. Soft on the inside. Also, the seasoning was very solid, and they gave me multiple sauces for free, which was also nice. The funnel cake fries also weren't that good. They had this sort of strange flavor that I can only describe as "dirty fried" like there was something there before they entered the fryer. Quite greasy, not enough powdered sugar. Bland and tasted stale. All in all, the place gives cheap food, most of which seems to be somewhat sub-standard. If you really just want something cheap, it's an okay spot, but quality is not the best. There's not space to sit inside, too, so call in for takeout or order online.
