I was confused that the sauce options were not on the menu. However the kind bartender gave me an 8 pack of sauces to try. I found that the Carolina mustard sauce was my favorite. Very mild in spice. The consistency was also thin so it had trouble sticking to the wing. A slight mustard taste that accented the crispy fried skins nicely. This order had 10 nicely sized wings. The wing was was cooked perfectly - no pink on the inside. The skin was nicely crisp without being crunchy. Extra crispy wings have never been my favorite. However, Rack & Hellen's did an incredible job with these wings! I loved the onions rings. A large-thick piece of onion with a thick batter. The batter was moderately crispy but a bit oily to taste. Definitely recommend! The mac salad was very good. They use a larger shell along with egg and possibly onion. The mayo is pretty heavy. However the dish was pretty tasty! On this occasion I sat at the bar. The place was busy. There were plenty of servers hustling and helping each other. The bartenders were very kind and friendly. I was pleased that the food came out rather quickly!

Unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing. Our most recent experience was a carryout order on a Tuesday night. We were given a pickup time of 7:15 p.m., but my fiancé was still sitting at the restaurant waiting for our food at 8:15 p.m.--a full hour after the promised pickup time. I understand restaurants can get busy and delays happen, but an hour-long delay for a carryout order with no apology, explanation, or attempt to make things right is pretty unacceptable. We also dined in earlier in August for my fiancé's birthday. There were five adults in our party, and we arrived around 6:30 p.m. The restaurant did not appear particularly busy, with only about five or six other occupied tables, yet we still waited an unusually long time for our food. Again, there was no acknowledgment or apology for the extended wait. I'm usually pretty understanding when a restaurant is slammed or clearly short-staffed, but having essentially the same experience twice within a few weeks makes it difficult to chalk it up to an off night. The food itself certainly wasn't good enough to justify either wait. After these two experiences, we won't be returning. There are too many locally owned restaurants in Fort Wayne where we can support a local business, receive better-quality food, and typically get much better service.

Corner Pocket Pub (St. Joe Center Road) - bar eating/drinking on a relaxed outdoor patio…read more Spent a beautiful summer evening relaxing and dinning/hanging with friends of the Corner Pocket Pub patio. They have a very spacious patio. It's clean and well maintained. Chairs and tables are a comfortable wire construction - nothing fancy. And yes...it still feels like a bar as a bouncer will check your ID at the door. You can balance the bar feel with the opportunity to hang out on a warm summer evening...on a patio. Our waitress was very friendly. She hustled as much as she could though she had a lot of tables. The bouncers were all business. The menu is pretty large with pizza, salads, wraps, wings sandwiches and lots of appetizers. Prices are fair. And, to me, the overall food quality is better than your standard bar food. Here is a run down on the things we ordered: -Quesadillas: extraordinarily cheesy. Soft shell. Easy to pull apart. Comes with salsa and sour creme for dipping - nothing special here. -Chef salad: very fresh and piled high with meats and sides. Two breadsticks were also tasty. -Chicken Ranch wrap: fresh tasting. Tender chicken and wrap. Fries were good. -Onion rings: lots of rings in the basket located on the premium side menu. Rings were inconsistent. Some pieces had a very thick onion piece with a softer batter. Others had a thin onion piece and a very crispy outside. In general the rings were fried to a heavier crisp and a bit oily. Not my favorite. -Cole slaw: very smooth, sweet and creamy Mayo based dish. Small slaw pieces. Not soupy. Tastes almost exactly like KFC's cole slaw. Very good taste! -Wings: I ordered grilled teriyaki and spicy buttery ranch wings. About 50% of my wings were tough and chewy. The other 50% were moist, tender and perfect. All white insides and slightly crispy skins. Love the grill marks. I would recommend double dipped as the grilled skin was thinner on flavor. The teriyaki sauce was thin and had a mild teriyaki taste. The spicy buttery ranch sauce had a slight buttery oil taste with a moderately heavier spice taste. No spicy after taste or burn. The ranch flavor seemed to get buried in the spicy flavor. This review focuses on the patio dinning option. Corner Pocket does have a fun and spacious interior, with lots of pool tables, if you want to shoot some billiards with friends.

She did ask, and I said Corona. However, they ended up bringing an extra bottle of Corona and charged me $20 for the drink--and it tasted like water. After waiting a bit, she brought me a lengua taco instead. I told her that wasn't carnitas, but she insisted it was. At that point, I gave up and told her not to bother. I don't eat lengua, so it went untouched. I'll include the receipt and a picture of the "carnitas taco" so you can see for yourself. On top of that, they charged $6.50 for what was basically two tablespoons of hot salsa . Very bad service. I won't be coming back and would not recommend this place
