it is Thursday Feb 12, 2026 and for the third time now I've tried to shop for chemicals to develop my own photos. I'm new at all of this so I have many questions I wanted to ask about the process which is why I just order them from Amazon. And yet again for the third time the store is closed at 4:40pm. I realize this is towards the end of the shops business hours but I can't get out of work in time to get there any earlier. i live and work in downtown Atlanta and it is a 35-45 minute drive... they need to change their hours to closing at 4 or 4:30 instead of the 5pm fake-out. read more

Small store with limited inventory. I initially went in looking for a Sony lens and they literally only had one option. The sales people were very nice but operating this business like it's 1985. No way to search inventory online which makes it too much of a gamble to know whether it's worth it to make the trip there. I paid $400 for the lens. They offered to cut me a check back for $200 or a credit of $250 towards the purchase of something else--for comparison, KEH in Smyrna offered me $245 for outright purchase and an additional 10% towards something else. I heard that the entire shopping plaza is due to be demolished to make way for condos/apartments so not sure how long or where this store will continue to operate if that is true. read more

Went here to get a disposable camera developed in January, I'd honestly recommend going to your local Walgreens or CVS for this service! It was $20 to get digital & prints - the digital photos took about 3 weeks to receive via email and it's been 5 weeks and I still haven't received prints.. Wow! I'm highly delighted to know a wonderful camera store is available in Atlanta. On my first visit to the store, I was immediately impressed with the collection of cameras and equipment on hand. My salesman, Patrick was most helpful and knowledgeable. He found the part I needed for my tripod and shared other Fuji and Nikon camera-related information that I could benefit from. Plus, a beautiful Rokinnon 24mm lens was made available to me to buy! All the staff is professional and knowledgeable about the many different camera types and equipment. Although it is a long drive for me to travel from Griffin, GA to the store, I will gladly travel to Wing's Camera because of their great service and the equipment available. read more

My first film developing experience was at Wing's Cameras and Digital, and it was great. I had four disposable cameras stored for months that I was always set back on getting them developed because I didn't know where to go. My main reasoning was time and It wasn't until I searched on yelp local "film stores" that I found Wing's. I knew that I could no longer go to my local Sam's Club, or a drugstore to get the film developed in what felt like an instant. Everyone nowadays you have to mail your film which ends up taking two to three weeks to get them your film back. But Wing's does not work like that. Wing's sends their film to get developed on Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Depending on what day you drop them off you will get them on either of two days. I'd recommend dropping them off on Monday or Wednesday to make sure they get sent out so they can drop your film off, and pick them up on the upcoming Tuesday or Thursday. The staff was super generous. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a guy who took my order and filled in all of my information for it. He enclosed my items in two moderately small sealed envelopes so they wouldn't get lost. After that, I got the option to pay the same day or once I picked up the film. I decided to pay for the same day. This made it faster to pick up my film in the future. That same day I had taken an old film camera I had purchased years ago that I didn't know how to use. I had the previously had the issue where I purchased film for it three years ago, but it would always shutter with the strangest noise. This made me think that maybe I had purchased a damaged film camera. When I asked if they knew what I could do about it another guy present at the store worked on it and quickly noticed my same issue. There was a problem with the film I was using. He taught me how to insert the film, and exactly where. Even though it seemed as if I was a tad confused he continued to help. By the time I left, I knew how to operate the basic functions on my camera that was once sitting in my closet for almost a decade! When it came to picking up my film I had realized I dropped off my film on a Thursday afternoon. Because I dropped them off late that day, my film wasn't sent until Tuesday. At the time I thought my film would arrive on Tuesday. When Tuesday came around I had learned through a call that my film would not be ready until Thursday. The staff was nice in informing so, and I waited until so. Two days later I received my items. I loved my pictures! When I got to my car the first thing I did was rip those two envelopes and look at all of my photos. The satisfaction of seeing my photos on film and not digital was pleasing. Nothing went wrong in the process of developing and printing. I even got my negatives in the envelope with all of my photographs. When I got home I tried scanning my photos on my printer, but they did not turn out great. I would recommend paying for the store to scan your images when you drop off your film. I'm pretty sure they'll turn out better scanned to share and post with your friends on social media. I would recommed Wing's Camera and Digital to any of my friends. They are fast, reliable and overall have great staff. My experience there was great because of their customer service, the quality of my products, and it was easy to contact them on my order status. read more

I cannot give this place enough stars. The customer service was exceptional and everyone working there seems so knowledgable about cameras, and was so friendly. I had a great conversation and i could tell everyone else in the store was treated so well and everyone working there genuinely cared about all of their customers. I came here because my flash on my Nikon d3100 stopped working for an unknown reason. The camera is in well used condition and was very dirty so they thought it might be that it needed to be cleaned, so they cleaned it and said that if it didn't fix the problem, that it would be free.. it didn't fix it so they did give that to me for free. I ultimately wasn't able to get my camera fixed but they had an amazing used d3100 for a great price. He gave me recommendations where i could sell my malfunctioning camera and did not try to make me buy anything, just explained all my options and what he honestly thought of all of them which was really helpful. Really good prices on a lot of used dslr cameras in great conditions and also other camera stuff- like lens caps for like $6 or $3. I won't ever go anywhere else for camera needs!! read more

Wow!!! I am thoroughly impressed with Wings Camera! As a pretty new photographer the expertise, patience and kindness I received at Wings was impeccable. I was advised by another photographer friend to go to Wings as I was looking for a wide angle lens. I thought I'd just pop in, get the lens and go. Not hardly!! Before I even paid for the lens, Brandon walked me through how to use the lens! I was so blown away! He demonstrated the lens, showed me how to get the most out of the lens, even found out more about my camera. It wasn't about the sale, it was about the experience and I had a great one!!! I was welcomed the minute I walked through the door! And with a smile! Like they really wanted and valued my business. I also inquired about lessons to which, Brandon told me about a couple and gave me a ten percent off coupon for it. I have never experienced the top notch customer service that Wings offers. I will be back, as I would really like a full frame camera one day. I'd definitely buy it at Wings. The friendly, knowledgeable staff is exactly what's missing at most retail establishments today! I will never go anywhere else to process my film. I love stopping by Wings Camera to drop off and pick up my photos even though I'm only in there for a quick minute lol. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable! I bought a simple analog light meter from here after getting a lemon from KEH. I actually came here just to get batteries (which KEH didn't bother to include) but after testing it against other light meters in the store, they let me know it wasn't working properly. So, I just decided to get an analog one from then instead. (They also have professional electric ones) I'm new to the Atlanta area and the owner then pointed me in the right direction where to get the other photography services that I needed. Prices seem fair and items in great condition. The rest of the staff was also very accommodating and answered every question I had without being rude or making me feel like an idiot. I'll definitely come here first if I need any more camera equipment. read more

I'm really not one to bash a business. But what an absurd encounter.. I call in to ask how much it would be to develop a roll & get photos wetransfer or digitally sent over. A women puts me on hold then a man answers and says, "WE CANT HELP YOU! YOU CAN GO SOMEWHERE ELSE W YOUR BUSINESS. DO YOU WANT A NUMBER TO A DIFFERENT PHOTO PLACE?!" *hangs up on me* I call back and ask why he did that and if we could work something out to get my photos at least developed and on a CD then if thats really the only way. (is this 1999?) The women explained "we have been open for 105 years and this is how we do it down here in the south". (I had previously explained I recently moved from NYC and they charged 5/roll, 2/cd or zero for the we transfer.... (reasonable pricing, I develop 20+ rolls every two wks roughly) So paying some crappy, backward, 100 year old camera shop $15/per roll... is BONKERS! You'd think customer service would be a little nicer down south. But nope, just a super disrespectful approach to my questions. They don't even develop on site.. so that is why the prices are insane. That's all the man needed to say.. unwillingness to work with local artists that plan to contribute loads of money continuously developing film is sure way to get a bad rep. Unprofessional. Rude. Don't give them your money.. its kind of bizarre they've been open as long as they have honestly. read more

I went for something specific, which was the development of prints from old negatives. This was ultimately successful, but not without a substantial amount of trouble - being called in repeatedly for some but not all of the photos would be my principal complaint. I probably went in to the place four or five times, overall, which I guess qualifies as a "shame on me" situation. read more

What I love about this is Mike (I believe that's his name, the owner) who runs the shop is a great guy. Great customer service and just a really friendly guy that you aren't worried about just asking for his opinion without being afraid he's going to push something on you. But my greatest experience is that I brought in a lens to sell off, offered him an asking price, he gave me MORE than what I was asking for. Now did I just get ripped off? Not really. I just wanted to let that lens go without the hassel of eBay or craigslist and for someone to actually give me more than my asking instead of low balling me, this guy gets major points. He claims to be the oldest camera store in Georgia, is it legit? I don't know. I can't think of an independently run camera shop besides one in decatur so that shows how many of them are there. If you're looking for film cameras, this might be a great place to start looking. He has a wide selection of manual lenses and cameras, with additions of newer digital stuff. I'm the new kid on the block in terms of camera gear, but I got to play with my first sight of a hasselblad, which I have always been interested in. As for pricing, the lens prices are about average. Other stuff such as lens caps, umbrella mounts, stands, they all may be able to be found cheaper online but for sure, you lose that customer service experience. One thing I do love is local mom-n-pop shops that are still making it by the old fashion way, good customer service. They're great to me, so I just want to spread the love and help them out when I can for my camera needs. read more

I recently bought a new, expensive DSLR camera (without the lens / body only) from B&H in NYC. Without a lens, the camera is basically an overpriced paperweight. So I took a chance and bought a used lens from a seller on ebay and, unfortunately, it would not work with my camera. Good thing I did not spend a lot on that item. So I asked around on what to do next and I was referred (by knowledgeable friends) to Wings Camera. Prices are fair on their used camera gear. I learned (the hard way) that it is much better to test a used item at a Wings Camera rather than take a chance buying something used online. The owners are super nice, honest, courteous, and take great care of their customers. I purchased a used kit camera lens from them and it is perfect for me in my newbie / learning phase. When it is time for me to purchase a better camera lens, you best believe this is the place I will go to first. If they don't have that particular used item that you are looking for, they will take your name & contact info; and call you if / when that thing happens to arrive at their store. Perhaps really deserves 4.5 stars; however, I am okay to give them four because the location may be out of the way for some. And their operating hours (somewhat prohibitive) may not be suitable to accommodate most people's schedules. read more

I've never been one to choose a big box store over a local business. A few weeks ago I needed two meager rolls of film developed and apparently this was a harder proposition then I thought. Walmart, Target, Walgreens, nor CVS develops film any more, they mail it out and it takes weeks to get back, Google found me a solution in Wings Camera. Wings camera is tucked away in a strip mall with ample parking and located right off of the interstate. It looks like you think the shop of a camera fanatic would look, lenses and cameras everywhere with a little bit of Doc Browns lab thrown in! It's a simple locally owned business who is passionate about cameras. They offer a full range of services from cleaning and repair to sales of flashes, lenses, and other photo equipment as well as, you guessed it film development! The company owns their own development lab somewhere north of the city and after we chatted about the business for a moment, he walked me through the process. Glossy paper or matte, duplicates, what size, then he said 2 business days and I will have them back for you! Almost exactly to the hour 48 hours later he called to tell me my film was in! The pictures came out great and I will definitely be using them for any photo needs I may have from here on out! read more

Wings bills itself as the oldest camera store in the Atlanta area. It does have some of the oldest photo gear in Atlanta. It also has some of the most interesting photo gear in Atlanta. This store should be on your short list of places to check regularly. They also have a camera flea market on occasion where vendors from other places come and set up in the parking lot. All-in-all, an enjoyable experience. read more

Prices are reasonably fair on their used camera gear. I'd rather test an item at a store than take my chances on a used item online. The gentlemen there are very courteous and take great care of their customers. My 2 year old was picking up everything he could get his hands on; instead of getting short with him, they were showing him how the item worked and told him what it was for. My son and I go any chance we can get. I recently purchased a used camera and lens from there and couldn't be happier with the product. read more

WARNING: Do not bring your equipment here if you ever want it to be fixed. I went in on 12/5 of last year because my flip out LCD screen was broken on my Canon 80D. I called ahead, they were super friendly said it would only be about $150 to fix my camera and they could have it back to me before Christmas. I was ecstatic! Little did I know I had just been lied to and would spend the next two weeks waiting for someone to even call me back with a real cost estimate. Fast forward to three unreturned phone calls later asking for information about the status of my camera and after several "we'll call you back's" with no follow up I went to the store to pick my camera up. I'm a professional photographer and use this camera nearly every day and I cannot not know what is going on with it. I go in the shop and they look petrified when I tell them who I am and ask for my camera back. They had taken it off location to a repair shop to be fixed without ever telling me! They told me I'd have to come back again the next day so they could send someone to pick it up. I'm beyond angry at this point but what can I do? So I wait and go back the next day. They reluctantly give me my camera and make sure to tell me it was basically totaled and would cost more to fix than it was worth WHICH WAS TOTAL BULLSHIT. These guys are rude, have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to gear and are LIARS. I'm not sure if they were talking down to me because I am a female or because they're just that bad with customer service. They tried to hide the repair sheet from where they took my camera without my knowledge but handed it over when I asked about it. Someone had in fact reviewed my repair information and quoted me a week prior (twice the amount I was originally quoted over the phone) and they never called me! Simple communication could have fixed this but instead they brushed me off like I didn't know what I was talking about and were rude, could not manage to communicate with me, and kept my camera for over two weeks without doing ANYTHING to it. Please save yourself the headache and go to Camera Service Repair Co. in Smyrna. They're lovely! read more

This camera store is for people who can/want to operate a camera manually and dive into the world of film. Wing's is tucked into a strip mall and is filled with gear like: 4x5 backs, developing supplies, film, medium and large format cameras, lens caps and other film accessories. I only got to spend 30 minutes there but could of easily spent another hour. Prices were fair (ebay prices + enough to keep the lights on). I picked up a vintage Kodak shutter and a lens board. They also have stuff in the back if you ask. I wouldn't go here to find a rock bottom price on the newest and hottest gear but if you want to get into film photography at a reasonable price this is one of the best places around. He had a bunch of regulars/camera nerds who were coming in and out and blowing up his land line. Always a good sign. read more

I recently had a great experience at Wings related to the sale of my dad's camera equipment from the 1950's. I found Mike to be very personable and extremely professional! I feel like he may have sensed my desperation to liquidate some assets and was willing to purchase the equipment instead of suggesting consignment as I was anticipating may be the case when I dropped by! He really went out of his way to accommodating despite the fact the equipment turned out to be in worse shape than I had anticipated and will require a bit more expense on his part than a lot of vintage equipment he sees, i am sure! I brought about $1,000 worth of equipment to Wings in January of 2018 to sell on consignment. Never heard a thing from them over nearly two years, so went in December of 2019 to reclaim the equipment. They advised it had been sold, but had never paid me, could not tell me what it had sold for nor when. I eventually got the police involved and Wings gave me a check for the anticipated on the consignment form value less commission along with the promise they'd send me a receipt for the actual sales date and price. That, of course, has never come either. I DO NOT TRUST this company because they didn't pay me, didn't advise me that my equipment had been sold and still won't give me the answers they owe me. read more

Went there today to see what used lens selections they had, since they do not have an online inventory. The store is very small and the shelves with DSLR cameras and lenses are well organized. However, the selection at this time was very slim; which is fine if used inventory is hit-or-miss. However, one thing stood out in my mind which soured everything else for me. They were selling the Canon nifty-fifty f/1.8 STM lens for $125; used with some cosmetic scratches. This lens sells new for $125 on Amazon with free shipping. Seeing this brought all of their prices into question and I just couldn't trust any of the prices and I did not want to pull out a phone to start checking. As for customer service, well there really wasn't much. I was asked once if they could help, I asked for DSLR lenses and was pointed in the direction of the shelves. On my way out I said bye but neither individuals even acknowledged and just kept their heads down looking busy. Not going there again and I'll just stick to Amazon and Ebay. read more
