Loved the setting and watching planes take off and land while we ate. Good hearty lunch and breakfast foods.

Let me back up for a moment. To start I thought it was going to be a cool meal and place to sit. Usually Main Street you have indoor/ outdoor seating. Which they do sort of, indoor 2 tables crammed into a corner. They make coffee, but you need to do only what they know which is not much. They have a cooler for soda, which is double the price you can get from the convenience store Dales 25 yards away. The prices are outrageous. I did not even order because the rudeness, the cleanliness, and the prices. $20+ for a sandwich on bread. These are not subs, they are smaller than my mom made for school. I understand though. Boarding school on the hill. Take advantage of the kids because not much around for them. It is insane. This place needs to be avoided at all cost.

The "Sandwich" I ordered didn't even have bread on it. Just 2 sorry slabs of eggplant with nothing but unmelted cheese floundering in the middle. On your menu under "Sandwiches" it reads, "Eggplant- Generously sized (lmao) breaded eggplant with arugula, red onion, provolone, & balsamic aioli on fresh ciabatta bread." Look at this picture for crying out loud. In what way is this cheapskate poor excuse for food generously sized?? They charged me ~$45 for 3 sandwiches like this and refused to reimburse me. Have fun with your soon to be floundering business. You have brought shame to your ancestors in having absolute zero pride in your craft. You won't be seeing me back again. And to the rude girl who served me.. good luck living off the land, serf.

They have all kinds of bagels but you have to get their early if it is a local favorite. Once they run out they are out. Their sandwiches are awesome bacon egg and cheese or the Taylor ham egg and cheese. You cannot go wrong. I have never had lunch there or ate in but they do have a lunch menu that looks pretty good. I will have to update my review once I try the Ruben, because that is one of my favorites but it is not easy to make. So we shall see. As I was saying they do have inside and outside seating which is nice. The service is always friendly and they are working to get your order out as fast as possible. I highly recommend to check this one out.

The older woman greeted me with a big hello and a smile. Eager to help me even though she was already checking out a customer. She took my order and quickly went about preparing it. The younger gentleman rang me up in the meantime. And when he gave me the total to my sandwich, I was aghast at how cheap it was! Soooo incredibly affordable! My BLT was perfect and the bread was toasted just right! Also wanted to add that this place has LOTS of parking! So why not 5 stars? The place IS a little dated. You could see the wear BUT everything was still neat and in order. The booths and seating area could use a brightening. And the big reason not 5 stars, it's a cash only operation. Granted, there's an ATM machine located as soon as you walk in but fees etc.

Two words: Breakfast Sandwich!…read more Cafe Duet is a great little spot tucked away by the Monroe County Courthouse. They have great coffee, pastries, small bites, and lunch options. The breakfast sandwich is phenomenal! As their menu states, it consists of "two organic eggs, split and grilled Spanish chorizo, sharp cheddar cheese and baby arugula on a fresh baked roll w/ a touch of sriracha mayo." The eggs are cooked perfectly! The contrast of the cheddar against the chorizo and sriracha mayo is wonderful and the peppery arugula comes through at the end. I would eat one every morning if my wallet/waist could afford it! The cafe is both large and small (you'll really only understand if you go) but I never have an issue finding somewhere to sit. In the warmer months, it's really nice to sit outside in their patio area. The staff is always accommodating and the place is well kept. Sometimes you wait a bit for things but it's never super long and they are pretty good at keeping you in the loop if there's an issue. Definitely a great spot worth checking out!

The coffee to milk ratio was good and the chocolate flabor was not too overpowering- it still tasted like a latte and not hot chocolate. It wasn't watered down, and was still rich and creamy. The americano was a good cup- straight to the point and robust. We also had the banana nut bread and the pistachio-cranberry-white mocha chip biscotti. Both pastries were pretty good. Some tables had ordered hot food like waffles and soups, which looked pretty good and we might try this place out for a snack or breakfast in the future. Interior is pretty with plants, a record player playing jazz, and clean tables and chairs. Service is friendly, interior is old world charm, coffee and pastries are great. Public parking, ccs, Apple Pay. Public metered parking. Would recommend!

I was a customer at this restaurant for 30 years. …read more... Their food and their service has been declining for a while now, but "today"we nailed the pin in the coffin..... They will never see me again.... I just left there after having their triple play special, which is .....not very special. I sat 5-booths from the entrance. The employees and their VERY loudmouth female owner... We're all sitting in the 1st booth. The owner was so LOUD!!!!! We couldn't even have a conversation at the table. I said something to my waitress who told me that she she's Latin and loud. I'm Italian.... We invented loud. But we know "common courtesy" and basic manners in a restaurant. This owner has NONE!!!!! I couldn't WAIT to finish my breakfast and head out the door. On my way out, I heard the people behind me complaining that they have not been acknowledged at their booth. Completely ignored customers...... It was employee social hour and; Customers were intruding. I did complain to my waitress, who said that's how it rolls there and that I "would need to move to the back". Move to the back? Well, needless to say ... her commentary and lack of social awareness was reflected in her tip. ZERO!!!!! Watch out Compton's... You are not the only game in town anymore. There are plenty of places to go for breakfast and I would suggest whoever is reading this .... Go anywhere BUT Comptons!!!

Purchased a variety of Empanadas to bring home and try. Perhaps my mistake was not ordering all of them with cheese, since their are different options. , Nonetheless, I ordered the Spinach empanada, beef and cheese, chicken empanada, and the spicy chorizo. Portion control not in effect apparently. Spinach empanada was packed with way to much spinach, and unfortunately had zero flavor. Ground beef and cheese empanada was only about 1/2 way filled with meat, so much more dough than anything else. Also, average flavor. Chicken Empanada was dry, and really required a lot of sour cream, hot sauce, and cheese just to make it edible. Chorizo empanada was definitely a good one. Would not rush back, glad I tried, and again, great service. Cute little shop as well, and perhaps their other items are not hit or miss?
