Wingopolis - Chicken Wings Near Me - Inglewood, California

My nephews told me I had to try this restaurant and I'm sure glad they did. We purchased Buffalo wings, BBQ wings and lemony pepper shrimp. The Buffalo was a delicious spicy that still had flavor and didn't just burn my mouth. The bbq was nice and tangy and the lemon pepper was a nice mix of citrus and spice. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future. Thanks Trevor for the delicious food and for remembering my nephews face when we arrived. It's the small things that matter read more

Great little hole-in-the-wall place for some good hot wings! We've been in the search for a wing place other than Wingstop and happy to report that Wingopolis did not disappoint. It's located in the middle of a small shopping center; the parking lot is pretty small but doesn't look like it gets very crowded at once. We placed in our order a bit after 6:30 pm (when they opened) and the owner / cook said it would take roughly 45 mins. We set an alarm and arrived a bit before the 45 mins were up. The owner greeted us and introduced himself as soon as he walked in. He was very friendly and attentive. Then, it was roughly 10 more minutes before we got our orders. I got the Buffalo 10 piece wing combo (with fries and ranch) and my partner got the Lemony Lemon 10 piece wing combo. They were both really well seasoned and yummy! They did not skip on the seasoning either which I really appreciated. The wings weren't crispy but still tasty. Nothing wrong with that, just a preference some people have. Either way, the wings were meaty and cooked well. Would definitely try this spot again! read more

Me and my boy friend finished all the wings before I remembered to take a picture. Finger licking good! I ordered Buffalo and sweet and tangy. The wings were perfectly cooked and covered in thick sauce. Both flavors had a good kick, which can be balanced by the potato salad side. The owner is really friendly and handle food and everything with care. I am so glad it is open during pandemic. read more

So good and black owned!!! Fully support it. Saw this place on yelp and decided to try it since it was very close to where I live. Definitely will come back! read more

Wingopolis - Hot BBQ & Lemony Lemon Pepper - Chicken Wings Near Me - Inglewood, California

Yo. Yooooooooooooo. YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I've been on a wing kick over the last week and have been finding better and better spots with each day, but this is it. This is where I call it and a win and continue to get my wings from. It's very very clear they make their own sauce and ranch, and they're world-beaters. There are 2 kinds of wings you commonly find out there...really sauced/wet wings that are softer on the inside, and really crispy/dry wings with less sauce overall and a wide range of chicken quality. These are the perfect happy medium between the two. They're cooked perfectly, covered in some of the best buffalo sauce I've had, proper sized, and the meat falls off the bone insanely easy. I'm amazed. Also they're right on the fine line of mild and hot (actual hot, with a lingering kick) and that's my sweet spot. Don't think you can go wrong here...dude is only open for a small part of the day, but if you're looking for wings and they're selling em' - get em. Trust me. read more

Some of the, if not the best wings I've had. You pay what you get for and it's mouthwatering goodness. Wings are full of flavor/seasoning, the chicken isn't dry, & the fries are tasty. Second time having them and they better than the first. First time had the Cajun seasoning which was great. Ate them real quick! This time I paid extra for Lemon Pepper sauce and Hot BBQ-- oof! Well worth it! Trevor, the man behind the wings, is phenomenal! Support small, Black owned businesses! read more

Best wings in town!!! It was worth the wait and the owner is extremely caring of all his customers!!!

The best wings I've ever had...PERIOD! I can say that since first coming here, I have NOT been able to stop. The wings are that good! I pride myself in checking out wings from every store, name brand or mom and pop, and Wingopolis just slaughters them all! Trevor makes his food with love and effort, and the cliche is true: you can taste it! This means he's leagues above and beyond WingSlop, Buffalo Wild Dung, and virtually any other legacy brand you can imagine. The sauces are just IMPECCABLE. I now have a favorite designated order - volcanic (beware, very spicy!) wings topped with lemon pepper seasoning and an additional side of mashed potatoes. Yes, you can mix up the flavors for additional yumminess! I can't see myself every not coming back to wingopolis. Come, and come fast! When Trevor's cooking, you better be in line, or you'll miss out! As for my wings? I like it like dat!!! read more

We tried out wingopolis because we saw them on the neighborhood app. Much like the reviewers before you will tell you if you are looking for food fast then this probably isn't the place for you, but if you are looking for good wings then look no further. Come like 20 mins after your food is supposed to be ready and it should be good or come in on time and treat yourself to a friendly conversation with the owner. It's a one man operation so cut him a little slack. read more

Tried this place when it first opened a few years back and it was just as great as the owners energy! The flavor of the wings were super original and the fries were really good too! Highly recommend investing in this mans food, it's that good! read more

OK, before you pick up the phone or get in the car to shoot over to this little neighborhood gem, be warned of two things: 1. You will not spend less than 20-30 minutes there, regardless of if you called ahead or not (a good thing, but more on this later). 2. The owner - Trevor - is the kind of business owner you dream about supporting; a true rags to (hopefully, eventually) riches story. Now, about those wings. Meaty, large, and cooked perfectly. Trevor actually asks you how crispy you want them and watches over the progress until they are juuuuuust like you asked. Same with the fries and onion rings, which he staggers so everything comes out at the same time. He offers FOURTEEN different sauces, which I won't list here, but we tried the Buffalo, "lemony lemon pepper," and teriyaki and they were all delicious. This is a proprietor who really cares about what he's selling you. Now, about Trevor. If you don't want to strike up a friendly conversation, I suggest you go elsewhere. This isn't Wingstop or Pizza Hut; when you enter Wingopolis you are, in essence, entering "Trevor's House of Wings," and you should be prepared to swap stories, talk food, and be very patient as he plies his craft. At first, you'll be taken aback at this decidedly old-school approach to customer service; relax, in this age of cell phones and detachment, it might take you several minutes to acclimate to actual human contact, but it's worth the effort. Also, Trevor was still in the process of building out his space, so forgive the unfinished state of affairs and just enjoy the wings. We're hoping he adds the celery and carrots so often associated with Buffalo wings eventually, but they weren't a deal-breaker by any means. In conclusion, if you're looking for an alternative to pizza-place wings or the so-so fare (minus the customer service) or Wingstop, Wingopolis deserves a visit. read more

Best wings in the city!!! Cooked perfect with no issues!! Fries and onion rings on point!! Great customer service and he does it all alone!! No need to ever go back to Wingstop again!! All the flavors were on point also!! Keep up the GREAT WORK!! read more

My first and only experience so far has been a very very good one. My buddy and I wanted to check out this place so we drove down and found it locked up on one side so we walked around to the other side where it was also locked! A light was on and the yelp app said it was open till 9 PM so I called and immediately the proprietor, Trevor, answered the phone and apologized as he was inside on a call. He opened up and we walked into the store which is still under construction. We were greeted by Trevor who is hands-down, one of the nicest people on the planet! He explained what was going on with the place and his dream to make it successful. After talking with him for a while, we placed our order: lemony lemon pepper wings and honey barbecue wings both with a side of fries. It took Trevor about 20 minutes to cook up our food. We had some things to do so we bounced while he was making it and came back to pick up the order. I consider both my friend and I to be connoisseurs of chicken wings... For whatever it's worth, I frequent the Anchor Inn in Buffalo New York where buffalo wings were supposedly invented! Trevor gave me some insight on the real story which seemed to make a lot of good sense. In any case, Trevor knows what's up! Both orders of wings were really delicious and made with obvious TLC. Both had lots of delicious flavor and were perfectly tangy and cooked through. The french fries were really tasty. Not sure what he does to them, but they had a great flavor even though there was no sign of seasonings on them. Originally, we expected to go in and sit down to eat but this is definitely a take out only place for now until he's able to bring in some tables and chairs... He's waiting on the permits for that! Definitely give this place a try. Give him a call and place your order in advance or, hang out with Trevor while he prepares your wings and be inspired to live your best life! He is all about peace and blessings... And that's the kind of person who I want to support in my community. Cheers to Trevor and Wingopolis!! read more

OKAY, TREVOR IS BOMB.COM! He greets with smiles, and love. Even made my old mean A** husband smile, and thats saying alot! His presence oozes the LORD, and its not very often I can see that in a person. Awesome wings, cant wait to try the other flavors. We ordered Lemony Lemon Pepper, Cajun, and Buffalo. Hubby loved the Buffalo. Trevor, I cant wait to see WINGOPOLIS's all across the state. Sorry no pic, we DEMOLISHED THOSE WANGS! Why, cause we LIKE IT LIKE DAT! Peace and blessings always reciprocated back to you and yours. -ANNA N MISTER read more

Okay, so I literally looked up "Best Lemon Pepper Wings" on here and this spot popped up as #1. And listen.. it didn't disappoint! The owner is very kind and his flavors are thorough. I was bordering being #hangry when I arrived but the wait wasn't long at all! Tried the lemony lemon pepper and cajun flavors. Very tender and the fries were really good too. Two things: 1) Get past the aesthetics of the lack of decor. 2) Give this place a try if you want some damned good wings in Inglewood. read more

As a person who checks-in on yelp everywhere My friends and I decided to support Wingopolis because it said it was a new and trending spot in Inglewood. Upon entry I was baffled at the fact that I couldn't find the menu when I walked-in. The menu is on a business card taped to a counter, it's a new place and I'm a first timer so I didn't think much of it but bring your reading glasses to order. I was so excited about my order I took a picture with the owner and blasted this establishment to a big conference I was attending at the convention center to show support. He also asked that I took photos of him by his sign so I did to post on his yelp. I ordered the volcanic and sriracha wings and the owner Trevor said he would come get us when the order was ready and asked how our car looked. After waiting over an hour for 8 wings and previously frozen fries I decided to ask him about an update on the order. Trevor said, "I was just getting ready to refund you your money because we ran out of wings". And I was stuck for a good minute but my primary response was: Excuse me? You could have communicated that... but apparently Trevor was joking and wanted to see how I would respond. I told him that I did not find the joke funny especially after having to wait over an hour to which he replied that if I don't find his joke funny than I can leave because his establishment is a place of "Peace and Blessings" only. My purpose was to communicate how I would appreciate a time estimate for the wings because it's been over an hour but Trevor proceeds to cut me off and started yelling that two other people before me have been waiting for over an hour too but they are not complaining. So I replied We are two different people the comparison is unacceptable because as a business owner he should be dissatisfied that any of his patronages should wait that long and in no way should he imply that it is the customers responsibility to be worried about his other customers. That's solely his responsibility not mine. He started getting very defensive and stopped cooking and asked that I leave his establishment for voicing the lack of communication and he threatened to call IPD (Inglewood Police Department) because I was talking to my friends about how the wait was too long. He also offered me a refund because he doesn't like unhappy customers but did not give me one. In the end, I had two wait another 30 minutes for him to not give me a refund, unapologetically gave me some cold hot wings, and the order was wrong I got all volcanic wings no sriracha wings and I really did not want my food anymore because he was so rude to me all because I didn't find his joke funny. I also couldn't eat the food after being threatened and yell at (I felt like he would poison me out of spite). Trevor explained that he has had 700 customers and only 3 complaints which I said was pure Blasphemy because if that was true why else would he have so many flyers around full of paragraphs urging customers to keep calm. P.S. notice the top five reviews mention his notion of "peace and blessings" but not about the food. Try these soggy wings and egomaniac owner at your own discretion. read more

After seeing reviews and owner supported pictures, decided to try this spot out. Came here and was greeted kindly, but owner held a convo that lasted too long and while he talked he could've been making wings since he was the only person there. After waiting about 45 mins total, I received my teriyaki and garlic wings that were cooked in old grease. I am a cook and know old grease when I taste it. To add to that, the wings appears not to be fresh. Highly disappointed from what I received. I will not return and will warn others of my experience. Hope the owner listens to his customers and get help and make some changes. To add to it...apparently fries were not available. I see why now since they would have been made in old grease as well which you cannot try to disguise with sauce and salt. read more

I went on yelp and found this place and decided to try it but they were closed and went online and saw they didn't open until 5pm. I came back later on and glad I did, Trevor the owner is a cool and down to earth brother who makes you feel like you are related. I told him I'm a chicken connoisseur and I know my chicken and told him I would be the judge of how good his chicken was, well I'm glad to say he was right about the chicken here it is GOOD!! But if you think you are going to run in, order, and leave you mistaken it's best to call ahead first cause otherwise it will be a 20-30 minute wait and they are only open from 5pm-9pm I'm glad I decided to try Wingopolis and most definitely will be back! read more

My boyfriend and I came in from Vegas for a mini vacation and Wingopolis was the first place we stopped by when we got into town after finding it on Yelp. We were greeted by Trevor, the owner of the restaurant, who was incredibly friendly and kind. We ordered the 6 piece and the 8 piece combo and Trevor gave us a mix of breaded and unbreaded wings so we can try both kinds of wings. We got them all in the Buffalo sauce, extra wet, which was absolutely delicious! The sauce was the perfect amount of spicy and the wings were cooked perfectly, the meat literally fell of the bone! Plus you can never go wrong with crinkle cut fries! The entire time we waited for our food, Trevor kept us company and conversed with us the entire time. I would highly recommend Wingopolis not only for the food but also the wonderful customer service. Plus the wings are definitely worth any amount of time to wait! I'm excited to see Trevor succeed with his business and where it has to go. We'll definitely be back the next time we come to town. Thanks, Trevor! read more
