Even though it was crowded, we were seated right away, which was a great start. The servers were kind, attentive, and very helpful. I especially appreciated our server pointing out that the stock was made with beef and letting us know we could request it be made with water instead. He also took the time to help us choose several vegetarian-friendly options, which made us feel really taken care of. We shared the kimchi pancake, which was flavorful and satisfying, and each ordered our own bowls. My husband and I had ramen-based soup bowls, while our friends ordered the hot pots with rice. We all chose tofu except for my husband, who tried the mushroom option - he found it a bit tough and "meaty," but still enjoyed the overall dish. The food was very flavorful, portions were huge, and the prices were excellent. We even had leftovers to take home. Overall, a solid spot for a casual, satisfying meal, especially if you're looking for good vegetarian options and great service.

The restaurant was nicely decorated with Japanese style wooden slat walls. We were quickly given two ice waters and the table had the menus and the appetizer plates, napkins, and chopsticks. We ordered two ramens: one original and one spicy. Original: Husband had this one. I tried the broth, and it had an authentic Japanese pork broth. Super rich, fatty, and umami if you like those types of flavors. Spicy: I love spicy ramens and find original broths a little too decadent for my tastebuds. So I usually end up ordering a spicy version. This broth has a light pork aftertaste with a spicy note. The corn was a surprising yet fun texture add to the soup. Bean sprouts brought an extra crunch to the soup as well. Kimchi was well fermented, and the perfect stage for adding to a soup. The noodles were al dente, but I wish they were cooked slightly longer. I'd give the dish a 4/5. The standout aspect of the restaurant was the service. At a certain point the spicy broth had gone down the wrong tube and I was struggling, lol. The server noticed and brought over extra napkins without my asking. All in all, great restaurant to stop by for lunch or dinner, especially to warm you up during the Chicago winter.

Everything was fresh and hot. The miso had really good flavor. The ramen definitely had a nice strong kick. I would definitely return but I would prefer a chicken broth with potential karrage or other non pork options atop. I didn't notice if you could make your own bowl but that would be great.

We got the dumplings, scallion pancakes and the Dan Dan noodles. For the dumplings, the filling was juicy and full of big chunks of pork. I prefer the boiled version vs. pan fried. The skin was a little on the thinner side but still good. The Dan Dan noodles had a nice numbing spice and had a lot of ground pork. The scallion pancakes were cut into perfectly snackable sizes and were crispy and fragrant. Would highly recommend getting takeout from here or dine in. The takeout bag had sauces for the dumplings and lots of forks and chopsticks. There were no napkins in there so that was a bit disappointing. Lots of parking around the strip mall area.

We started with the triple delight pan fried dumplings and these were definitely a highlight. The bottoms had that perfect golden crisp while the tops stayed soft and chewy. Each one was juicy and flavorful, and you could tell they were made fresh. The chicken mini juicy buns were also really good. The wrappers were soft and delicate with a nice burst of broth inside, making them super comforting and easy to keep going back for. The pork belly gua bao was another standout. The bun was soft and fluffy, and the pork belly was tender and savory with a nice balance from the toppings. It was simple but really well executed. For noodles, we had the beef shank noodle soup with both beef shank and braised beef, and this dish was packed with protein. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the broth had a rich, savory depth that made it feel really hearty without being too heavy. We also tried the biang biang noodles. On their own, they were a little mild in flavor, but once we added some of the seasonings from the table like chili oil and sauces, it really brought the dish to life. I actually appreciated that you can customize it to your taste since they give you plenty of options. We got bubble tea as well, which was just okay. The flavor was good, but the boba itself wasn't as chewy as I usually like. Overall, everything felt fresh, portions were generous, and the pricing was very reasonable for what you get. The cozy atmosphere and variety on the menu make it a great spot to come back to and try more. Definitely a solid go to if you're in the area and craving dumplings and noodles.
