Used to visit this place quite often in the past but haven't been in a while. I remember why we had quit making this a regular spot. The chicken wings were served hot (ish) but the wings were considerably puny size-wise compared to the other local spots, especially for the money. The fries and picnic pasta were just as I remembered from before. All in all wasn't too terrible but definitely not a stand out food or service wise. We had 3 flavors of wings: mild buffalo, chipotle, and Kentucky bourbon, a large fries and sodas. $45. The best was the mild buffalo, which I had with blue cheese. They were a bit overcooked and dry, with uneven seasoning. The chipotle had no flavor at all except oil. The Kentucky- no, I'm from there and I'm not going to dignify it. The fries had TONS of salt and some weird sweet something- maybe bbq powder? They made me feel Ill. We also ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and drink for $9.48 as well. The gentlemen who helped us was friendly. The guy who brought the food out, not so much. The good. The portion of chicken is pretty good for the price. The tenders look to be chicken breasts that are flattened into tenders. The portion of chicken on the sandwich was large too. The bad. Both the tenders and the chicken on the sandwich were cooked way too long. The chicken sandwich has visible black burns on it. We had to remove one of the pieces on the sandwich to even eat it. The tenders were tough & I was only able to eat one. I think the combination of pounding the meat flat & cooking it so long made it really dry & tough. The fries were supposed to be "season fries" but they looked like home fries (which I love) that were undercooked because they were so gushy & limp. The sauce I got the tenders tossed in was Son of TNT. It had a good heat to it but the smell was a little off, it had like a stale spice smell. Neither of us were impressed with the food. Many places serve chicken wings around Nashville, but this is the place we always go for wings done right. I can't remember how many times we've been here, but it's definitely over twenty times. We request extra crispy and that's exactly what we get. The wings do shrink when cooked that way, but the flavor and texture is worth it. They have a great selection of sauces, and our favorites are the sweet heat, garlic Parmesan, and Kentucky bourbon. The cups of blue cheese (not ranch..lol) are plenty big enough for dipping, and the sides are also excellent. The coleslaw is creamy and tasty, and the sweet/salty seasoning on the fries is addicting. Dip the fries in ketchup for a real treat! They have different meal deals, and all are reasonably priced. We like the ten wing meal deal which allows two flavors. You get ten wings, a side, and a drink. The food is prepared quickly, but expect to wait a few minutes more for extra crispy wings. The staff is friendly and they go out of their way to make sure they have satisfied customers. This place is in our top five for favorite places to eat in this price range. read more

They all pretty much have the same fried wings and 20 or so flavors. So when it comes to wing places, it's NOT about how unique they are (b/c they're not); it's about how well they can execute their food. The wings are cooked to order, so they're not fast. Unless you're at Chili's or Applebee's, where they have your wings pre-cooked and frozen, you should expect to wait a little bit for your wings to come to you. They also offer a Hot Chicken that's comparable to Prince's or Bolton's. One thing I've learned about Hot Chicken in Nashville is that they're always in sketchy locations. I really like Wingbasket. It's close to my apartment, it's cheap, consistent and delicious. Everything is made to order so if you are in a hurry I would call in your order ahead of time. I have tried the wings and the chicken fingers. You should know that the chicken fingers are huge. I usually get 3 and take the other 1.5 as lunch the next day. And bonus they are $1.25 on Tuesdays. The wings are perfectly cooked to a delicious crisp and still juicy on the inside. I have tried several of their sauces and I like the sweet heat the best. Its just awesome. One huge bonus is the french fries. They are fresh and have a seasoning that has sugar in it. We call them sugar fries and they are just wrong.
