I've been eating Hot Chicken for years and would definitely consider myself a NHC connoisseur. Hurt's has been on my list for over a year and I finally was able to try it at The Hot Chicken Festival on 4th of July. I ordered the tenders and fries, and got the spice level of "hot". It was hot enough to have a lot of flavor and just the right amount of spice. I have a high tolerance but still like to enjoy it. What makes this dish special, is that they put a lemon seasoning on the fries, and it is so delicious + unique. They also serve you a dipping sauce that tastes as if barbecue sauce and ketchup have a baby. Sounds crazy, but it is sooooo delicious with the fries. I would def order this again and am dying to try their hot shrimp and hot gyro!

Great hot chicken tenders! Got this when they moved the truck to East Nashville for the day and it was very tasty. The chicken was juicy and perfectly fried. The flavor was right on point and the owner hooked it up with an extra tender.

When they first opened, it was so sleek and shiny - a long way from what it is today! We ate there last Sunday the 19th of April. There is duct tape EVERYWHERE trying to hold the once glossy, once white, once clean laminate in place. The booth we sat in (also cushion ripped and worn) had no less than 6 strips of duct tape holding it together. If you look around the dining room, it is on most of the joints, keeping them together. It is als VERY junky and cluttered. Went to the bathroom (another area that needs a lot of work) and there are rolling storage cabinets lining the hall making it very claustrophobic. On the way back to the table I looked behind the bar - a hodge podge of tools and caulk guns and whatever else I do not know piled in the floor. It was a mess. Corners and baseboards, chair legs and booth bases were just - dirty. Years of residue built up. Probably won't eat inside ever again, it is just so depressing, especially after knowing what it once was. We were there at prime lunch time after church and there were only three tables seated and a couple of to go customers.

For instance, their cashew stir-fry is amazing and i like it with extra veggies including red bell peppers and extra cashews. i don't have to repeat myself every time I call my order specifics come up. Their Tom Ka soup is superb and comes in very generous sizes( a cup is equal to a bowl anywhere else). My extended family also thinks their beef fried rice is the best in Nashville area. Now that they have bought LA seafood and have all those products in the retail side of the restaurant, I can pick up my favorite things all in one stop. Taste is 5/5, prices are reasonable and customer service is the best!

Public Service Announcement -- They aren't closing, but they are moving to Donelson in June 2026. I didn't know until today when we stopped in for lunch. They will be changing the name to Asian Cajun. I will be going to the new spot after they get settled in. That being said I'm going to go ahead and do this review as it's still going to be the same food and owners when they move. This is an Asian/LA seafood fusion restaurant. They serve Thai Apps, Salads, Soups, Wok Fried Noodles, Fried Rice, Stir Fry, Thai Curries, Fresh Shellfish, Sandwiches, weekend Seafood Boils and Boba Teas. They do Catering, also. They also serve some Cajun dishes like Gator Bites, Oysters, Gumbo, Po Boys and more. I will definitely be visiting the new spot in a few months. I think I will review some of the Cajun dishes when I go. Ohhh-- BTW-- They do have a small market selling Frozen Meats and different types of fish like Mahi, Perch, Redfish, Shellfish and Octopus.

Visiting my daughter, I treated them to dinner and this place was within walking distance…read more We ordered cocktails and our food choices were: Spinach dip - underwhelming, lacked flavor. French Onion soup (cup) - the smallest cup of soup I have ever seen, but my daughter found it lacked the deep, rich, meaty flavor synonymous with French Onion soup and left half of it. Fish tacos - fish to tortilla ratio was on point. The fish tacos were well dressed and the cabbage add a nice crunch. This entree was 10x better than those starters. Bam Bam shrimp - had some crispy texture even though covered in the sauce. It was a solid dish and everyone finished it off. Sides- onion rings and fries. These were standard fare. Shrimp scampi flatbread - did not come out hot and quite flabby. We decided the kitchen was having a bad night. The cocktails were fine, so the bartender was having a better night. The service was quite slow but it was a busy night, so understandable as my daughter and I both worked as servers while in college. There is many parking opportunities here as this restaurant is surrounded by other retail stores and restaurants. I included the receipt in my pictures because I want you to know about the "hospitality fee". I find this disturbing practice is increasing. In my opinion, this practice is deceptive. It makes me believe the owners or corporate office is not paying their employees what they are worth. As a former waitress during my younger years, this will only make patrons reduce the waitresses tip if they are not bold enough to have it removed. I did not see this at the time we were finishing up as we were talking and just trying to get out of the restaurant. I did not see it listed on the menu either, although most restaurants that partake in this deception has it listed in very small print somewhere on the menu. I just avoid these restaurants in Vegas - but never thought Mt. Juliet restaurants would adapt such a practice. Lesson learned.
