Been driving by this place since we moved here. Finally decided to try it last night and was sadly disappointed. It looked and tasted exactly like the canned stuff you can buy at the grocery store. Gloppy, soggy vegetables, hardly any chicken at all. The Egg Foo Yung tasted burnt, the sweet and sour chicken was bland and chewy with thick, tasteless breading. I had a meeting at this restaurant with some friends last week. The food was delicious. I also took my husband an order of ham fried rice which he claimed it was the best he ever had in his entire life. Tonight I asked him what he wanted me to cook him for dinner & he replied with..."go to that place you got the rice from the other night"? My wife and I went for lunch. I had the hot & sour soup and was delighted. It went to hell straight after that. I tasted my wife's egg drop soup, had to stop, stir it to be sure, taste again and sure enough, it was Campbells chicken noodle soup. Other than a swirled egg or two that's all it was. My pork fu young was a dough ball covered in a brown glop that had no flavor. My wife's sweet and sour chicken was old enough to vote. I am glad I live in Salt Lake so I don't have to drive by this place and try not to gag. read more

This was our first time at Wing Wah. The food was delicious, our server was on top of refills for drinks, and we enjoyed the flavors! Good variety of flavors and tastes to choose from. The only suggestion I'd make is to ask about menu choices to ensure you know what you're getting. I ordered Szechuan chicken and was expecting vegetables and meat, but had battered and fried meat and no vegetables. It was still really good, just not what I expected. Some of the worst "Chinese" I've ever had. All dark meat, it seemed like, served all stuck together, and dry as a bone. I'm not sure how this restaurant has any patrons, as the food they serve is practically inedible. The chicken tasted as if it had been microwaved, and the fact that all of it was stuck together and dry has me thinking that was, indeed, microwaved. I'll never return here. read more

I'm giving 5 stars because of their exceptional service tonight. We've been eating here for the past 3-4 years. We've always had great service, some better than others (everyone has a bad day). The food has normally always been fantastic. We've eaten in, taken out and delivered. However; tonight there was a pretty big error in a dish I ordered. I know things happen, people are human. Shout out to Wing Wah for making things right! They went out of their way to deliver me a brand new dish and a free dessert. Great neighborhood restaurant. I love close by so it is convenient to grab some take out on the way home or just eating in. My favorite is General Tso Chicken' with fried rice on the side. Prices are reasonable too. read more

The owner acts very snobby she needs a course on how to speak to customers. She was even rude to an elderly couple. The food is definitely frozen then reheated. There is a pop song (LFO- Summer Girls) that has a line that says "chinese food makes me sick." I am pretty sure those guys ate at the Wing Wah Restaurant. Overpriced and Greasy. The sweet and sour pork I had must have been fried the day before and fried before I ate it just to heat it up. In highschool I worked at a fast food place and tried to re-fry fries to heat them up for myself and it tasted exactly like what was offered to me as edible food at the Wing Wah. My wife was excited to take me here to relive her college days. Food was decent but service was terrible. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken which is impossible to screw up. Writing this review and still waiting for a refill of water. Currently counting how many times our waitress can walk by after we asked for water before we get more...currently at seven. We just ordered take-out from Wing Wah and we are really disappointed! My wife ordered pineapple chicken and I ordered the sweet hot beef. The pineapple chicken was not what we expected but could have been very good with any sort of flavor in the sauce, but it tasted like they made a basic sauce with cornstarch then threw chicken (unbreaded/not seasoned), pineapple, peppers and onions in a containers and called it good. I asked to have the "the dinner combo" added to the entrees, and was told it would be an additional $3.95, was asked what soup and if I wanted ham fried rice or white rice with them. We also ordered an additional side of ham fried rice because we were planning to share the two meals with each-other and our kids. When I got back home I looked at our receipt and I was charged the $3.95 for the combo addition plus ANOTHER $1.65 for ham fried rice that we didn't even get! In all the food was not that good, veggies tasted dirty, sauces weren't great, soup was unflavorful, and the egg rolls, fried shrimp and crab wonton that was part of the combo were all soggy for the great price of $51.96. Decent little place, with a sizable menu of largely Szechuan offerings. Decent portions for the money! Orange chicken was quite good. The ham fried rice was nothing exceptional though, ham, egg, rice, and soy sauce ...nothing more. Egg drop soup was of a traditional style with only a thickened chicken stock broth and egg. Personally i prefer my egg drop with mixed vegies (corn at min. peas and carrots good too). Service was prompt and friendly. Lunch combos were $6 and change to around $8. Good value! read more

I love this place. Very good food for a fair price. I had the chicken broccoli combo with and egg drop soup. It was very delicious and everything tastes very fresh. The combo was only $9.95 and comes with soup or salad and a cheese wonton, tempura shrimp and an egg roll. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean and the service was great too. I have been going to this restaurant even before they moved to this location. We had take-out tonight. Wife had Egg Foo Yung and I had Sweet and Sour Shrimp. The Egg Foo Yung tasted burnt and the gravy looked and tasted like wallpaper paste. The Sweet and Sour sauce was good, but I think the shrimp had been cooked yesterday or the day before. This place really let us down. I got the Kung POW three way, with there fried potstickers. Along with a sweet and sour chicken kids meal. The pot stickers were hard as a rock, the Kung POW had a nasty odor, I couldn't even eat it. We paid 42$ for food we couldn't eat. Stop by here to get some dinner to take to the park to eat. Got a main course egg rolls hot and sour soup rice etc. The girl asked me if I wanted to tip the packer? Well being generous, I gave him two bucks. I will never ever do that again I've never had anybody ever ask that! So I get to the park there's no plastic wear for me to eat no spoon for me to soup and no napkins. I called the restaurant letting them know that I paid two bucks to the packer and had no plastic ware to eat with and no napkins. She said did you ask for it meaning the plasticware. I said I thought it came with it she said no we don't give out plastic wear. I said what about napkins, no she said we don't give out napkins either. I will not go back here for three reasons. Mainly, Asian buffet in Layton has much better hot and sour soup! I've driven by the restaurant for years and years and I finally decided to try it out. The food is fantastic! The crab cheese wontons are perfect! And the best low mien in town! Not to mention as I entered the lady at the front desk was on the phone with an over the top angry customer and she handled herself extremely professionally and when she turned her attention to me was very friendly and polite.
