I was not going to review this location. My father and mother frequents them. We come on occasion to eat with them. This day my sister was leaving town. So My finance and I came by. We sat with our family and friends. When we sat the young lady waitressing approached us. I told her we may be a minute as we were engaged in a passionate discussion. 2 more times she interrupted to obtain our order. As I understand the importance of urgency, the establishment is small enough so that even the kitchen could hear our conversation. That seemed to upset the waitress as she wanted to get on with the process and I wanted to speak. On the third time I ordered quickly and went back to conversing. My fiancé started ordering. Being a server for IHOP, in Fisherman's Warf SF, and also for Bridgetender, Tahoe City Ca, she has compassion for waitress. She is very accustom to high energy fast pasted restaurants. She also understands human nature. Every server we have ever had to not write down our order has failed. So when this young lady did not, my fiancé questioned her about the order. She stumbled with in my perspective means she may get it wrong. The young lady mis spoke about what type of cheese. She was corrected once she asked the owner. When the food came out, I knew we had problems. The underneath of my strips were littered with grill grit and were very hard. My fiancé's meal came out 5 minutes after looking pitiful. Her strips had more grill gunk and the lettuce looked bad. Yes when a person is hungry and then gets something inedible, they will be hangry afterwards. This is one of the crappiest places I've been lately. Their menu is simple and small. I ordered a chicken strip sandwich. Comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. I asked if they had cheddar cheese and I was told no, only american. Which is odd because they have a provolone burger and cheddar wraps. I added the cheddar to my sandwich once the clueless server confirmed they had it. I asked for no tomato and no pickle. She did not write my order down which is so unprofessional and which coincides with her lack of compassion and hospitality, which is paramount in the service industry. The 3 tiny, over-cooked, blackened (and not cause I asked for it) strips were laying on an orange bun ( that was my cheese! Yay!) Dry- no mayo or any offered. The lettuce was yellow and small. No onion either. After I scraped the charcoal black sh!t off my leathery strips I still attempted to eat it. Nope couldn't. It was so tough I could barley bite it. I returned it and asked to take it off the bill. The owner lady who was cooking did not come out and try to make it right. No sorry from the server, no nothing. And that is A-OK. So we go to the Wing Ranch in Hampton and we order a pitcher of Jailhouse Slammer Wheat. The only pitcher price on the menu is $8.00 for another brand. When we pay our bill the waitress informs us that she isn't sure what to charge for a pitcher of beer. She ask the cook, who also doesn't know. So he calls the owner on the phone and says a pitcher of beer is $15.00. So needless to say, we won't go back there. One waitress and one cook and ridiculous beer prices. Wing ranch and I have a kind of a love hate relationship. Sometimes I love the food and other times I'm incredibly disappointed with it. The wings tend to only be good when Big Al is working the grill. When anyone else is they are very subpar and disappointing. The burgers have always been good to me -- though last time I ate there as well as three of my friends our stomachs were a bit upset for a while not sure if it was the food or not though. It's a pretty good place, the wait staff is friendly, they could do a bit better. They an alright beer selection. They also have a huge television in there which is nice for games. read more

Decided to give this place another try since the last time wasn't great either. That was about a year ago. Ordered a chicken philly and the entire sandwich was burnt. Not just a little but to the point of one side of the chicken, onions and peppers where completely black. Also the amount on the sandwich was very little. Way more bun than chicken, pepper, and onions. Kids chicken fingers where burnt as well. Like the grease was entirely too hot...chicken wings where very small and the taste wasn't great. Wish it was better since it is so convenient. When we first moved to Hampton in 2006 we used to eat there all of the time. The food has gone downhill since then. After he returned home I called Wing ranch to talk to the manager (Kelly) about the food. She (kelly) cursed at me and told me if I did not like the food don't come back, it seemed as if I was the only one Bitching about the food.
