So we decided we would start trying different wing spots instead of the dames ones all the time and we chose wing kings as the first of many new places. First things first it was NOT busy for a Friday night which we loved of course. We were seated immediately, even had the choice of outside or in. We chose to sit outside. They have a very nice kind of secluded from the public walking/driving down the Main Street outside seating area. They don't have any outside heating though which you would think for the El Paso cold weather they would ? Anyway our waitress was a young cute girl. She was very attentive, we didn't have to flag her down to ask for anything. She made sure to come to our table regularly. Now for the food. My wife and I ordered the 16 bone in wings. Honey bbq/honey hot/spicy lemon pepper. Wings were 3/10. They were fried just right, just enough sauce, and more than enough ranch lol but the flavors were just off. The honey bbq was the best and I always choose any type of bbq last lol. We also ordered onion rings and a kids cheeseburger and fries. The onion rings were really good, great portion and the honey mustard as a dipping sauce was a good touch. My daughter loves her burger. It was HUGE lol. She immediately starts putting French fries on her burger and Daniel, who I believe was the manager comes out and strikes up a conversation on how he use to eat his burgers with fries and almost at the same time he says he use to live in Cali and I say yeah we're from Cali (as it's usually a Cali thing lol) and we just get to talking lol. Great customer service I definitely have to say that! My wife ordered drinks for herself as well. One was a paleta shot which she swears was amazing and tasted just like candy yeah right! We drove by this place and decided we needed to try it. We will never be back. Service was terrible, we had to flag down our waitress for new drinks and then she forgot about us. It was obvious Our wings were premade, she said everything came out together but the wings were cold. The few big size wings, were under cooked. Visited for first time today. 3stars ish however very capable of full potential! Had their green chilie "Wong ton" which was way under seasoned and actually looked like a mini egg roll! Description said it was a green chile compote! Most don't know what a compote is and possibly ask wait staff who most likely won't have an answer! The sweet sauce was good but the other sauce should be 86'd as it too did not have much flavor. if your going to call it a wong ton make it look like one, this venue is a "chicken wing" very competitive environment and if competing for market sales they may need for the sides more creative. Aka instead of rolling the "wong tons" to look like mini egg rolls they could be more creative in presentation wings we ordered were spot on! Came here to see what all the talk was about and very good and wings are huge and flavorful. Had the spicy lemon pepper and wife had the Serrano chicken sandwich and they were both great. Absolutely horrible service. Ordered online for a delivery then call and get told there is no delivery. So I come and pick up my order. Music is blaring like a club so no one can hear anyone. Front desk girl asked my name for the order. Tell her and she comes with up a completely different list name and gives me the "oh well". Then proceeds to jumble all the orders so she doesn't know what's what and who ordered what. Just a mess from the get go. At least I was offered water and I'm sure the girl with the nose ring who stood there saw my frustration and felt embarrassed for the other lady. Thank I'm only visiting for the day and going back to San Antonio tomorrow. True embarrassment for El Paso dining and do not recommend. Update on the order: 16 Spicy Lemon Pepper and was given regular lemon pepper. 8 BONE-IN mild and was given 8 boneless. Ranch with Ceaser Salad....where's the ceaser dressng for a CEASER SALAD... So here's my experience with Wing Kings as a first timer. I came here because I saw the bar looked really nice while driving by one day. I decided to stop and I was really happy with the location it looks really nice and clean overall a better environment than my other go to Wing Daddy's. The service was actually very nice I enjoyed it we got seated right away probably because it was a Monday night but still felt like pointing it out. The waitress was very kind and brought everything fast and checked up on us. My first complaint was the the soda was very sweet like it had too much syrup I pushed it down with my straw and it was almost thick. It wasn't horrible or un drinkable it was still okay and tasted like a Dr Pepper it was just very sweet if it had less syrup and more gas I think it would be perfect. It could've also just been a bad batch since I don't see anyone else mentioning it who knows. My second and final complaint was that the sauces didn't have a description of what they were. For example I didn't know what Carolina Gold was and I asked the waitress and she had to ask the chefs too. I later found out Carolina gold is a pretty famous sauce so I felt kind of stupid but still I think they should have some sort of description just nitpicking at this point. Now getting to the good side which by far outnumbered the bad. First of all I noticed the prices were less than wing daddies and I thought great they're probably going to be tiny or not good quality but they came out and I was surprised that they actually were pretty much the same as wing daddy's but cheaper I really enjoyed that. I have to point out that the bone in wings weren't breaded which was GREAT I hate places that make the breaded because in the end you think the wing is huge but it's just mostly bread. The sauce was amazing the chicken was great quality and the wings were surprisingly big also. I went with a family member and she ordered a beer and between everything the total was only 30 dollars which was super impressive since we got beer and 2 orders of wings. I haven't tried everything since this was my first time but I was so impressed with the variety of food that they have even though it's a wing store. This will probably be my go to now since the environment is so much better than wing daddy's where you're on top of everybody which isn't ideal especially in pandemic times. Not to mention the food is pretty much the same and cheaper. I think if this restaurant keeps it up how it is they'll have a lot of success, I'm not betting on it though since restaurants in El Paso tend to go downhill once people catch on that it's good but we'll see I'll update this if anything changes.
