Chili the Harris hawk

Cannot believe I hadn't heard of this place till now. Got the 'Elite Immersive Falconry Experience' for my partner's birthday and it was incredible. We will definitely be back for Falconry 102 and I'll be bringing anyone I can to the intro group experience. If you've been on the fence, you have to check it out. Holly will teach you a lot about how the raptors hunt and kill and how their bodies are engineered. The handlers are very knowledgeable and you can tell who the favorite employees are amongst the birds by how they all individually interact. Seeing Sophia the saker falcon in action was incredible too. Pay extra for the VIP eagle experience if you can!! Absolutely breathtaking. We even got to stick around after and see the birds get a little extra fly time to burn energy and run their drills. Highly recommend!!

Wow! This was a fantastic experience. I have long been a fan of falconry, albeit from a distance. My husband booked this experience for us and it exceeded both of our expectations. Holly is so personable and has a great passion for both the history and tradition of falconry. Her story is fascinating. We learned so much from her regarding birds of prey & life in general! This experience is one I'd recommend to anyone interested in birds and connecting with wildlife as a whole. Holly has a very open spirit and shares her knowledge with great enthusiasm. Being able to look into the eyes of these beautiful creatures is so special...a great reminder of how all living things are connected. We had 7 other people in our group (9 total) and everyone got plenty of time to experience flying and handling the birds. Holly was very open to questions and very patient with us. The birds are not 'scary' at all and you can tell they have been cared for tremendously. There was absolutely no pressure to fly or handle the birds for those who were hesitant, Holly encouraged those who were afraid, but respected their fears. I only wish we lived in the area so that we could experience this regularly. We certainly will return when we are in the area. This was a wonderful memory maker for us!

Great fun! Put an experience at Wing Blade Falconry on your bucket list. Received mine as a birthday present and loved every minute!

What an enlightening experience! Holy was very instructive, preventing catastrophies to all the newbies! The birds were phenomenal and electrifying up close. We learned so much, it was truly unique! Getting there was easy, the weather was great but you're in the shade this time of year so a jacket was needed. Bought some nicely made earrings of feathers and a great T shirt in her gift shop. All in all a unique and memorable experience!

I am a frequent visitor to Nashville and my friend lives here and bought a Groupon as one of our adventures as she thought it sounded interesting. I thought it was a great experience even though I was a little nervous. Holly was very informative and a great instructor with a passion for birds and nature. If you are looking for something unique to do in Nashville, I recommend you come out and see Holly and her variety of birds. #supportlocal

What a memorable experience to get to see these gorgeous and fascinating birds up close and personal. Wingblade Falconry is rustic and non-pretentious; Holly's personal path to falconry is inspiring, and my excitement with being near the birds was palpable. I highly recommend this.

This is truly an amazing experience for natives and tourists alike!  I have wanted to do a hands on experience with raptors for years, but hadn't been able to find a facility that would allow participants to actually handle the birds and have them fly to you.  This is that place. We had a large variety of beautiful birds and Holly is so passionate and knowledgeable.  This was the perfect blend of education and interaction, and it's an outstanding opportunity to engage with these magnificent birds.  I can't wait to do the other two experiences.

Such a fun time!

We had an amazing time today at Wing Blade! Holly is an expert, clearly loves the birds, and will show you everything to love about them, too. You'll first learn about the birds as you safely hold a couple of them (including tiny Dart, my favorite!) and then Holly will show you how they hunt, both with lures and then by having you hold food in your gloved hand. I highly recommend this class--we're both adults but kids would absolutely love it, too. We'll be back next time we're in Nashville to take the next class!

My Best friends and I took the Falconry 101, and it was amazing! Not only did we learn a lot about the birds but also got a hands on experience with some of them! Not only did we learn about Holly, and the history and capabilities of the birds, but I have a newfound curiosity and admiration of it all! We will definitely be back! Thanks for the great experience!

BEST experience ever!!! Did the Falconry 101 and held an Ornate Eagle and owl - flew a hawk and so much more! This is a once in a lifetime experience you will not regret! They also do private events and advanced interactions. Very educational and special. Highly recommend!!

Holly has set up a really cool experience with the falconry 101. Start by learning a little bit about the birds and falconry while handling a few of the birds while you listen. Then take them out to fly! Tons of chances to take photos with the birds, handle them, and watch them fly. I took my husband as a surprise date and he's hooked. We'll be back for falconry 102 and possibly even an afternoon hunt with the birds. If you're in the middle Tennessee area this is a very unique way to spend an afternoon.

My 13-yo daughter and I took Falconry 102 Follow A Falconer with Holly in February. We spent 3-4 hours handling several types of birds of prey--falcon, eagle, owl, and a crow--and she let us help prepare their food and fly them. It was an unforgettable experience and definitely worth every penny!

Flight to fist

My 13 year old son and I went to falconry 101. It was truly amazing! About 3 hours of complete immersion with the birds. We handled over 5 birds in a natural and beautiful environment. We will be going to Falconry 102 next!!! 100% recommend. my son said this is the best event he's ever done and he's experienced a lot!

This was our "splurge" dinner on a trip to Franklin, TN. My friend we were visiting had been before…read moreand had raved about it, but even she agreed this visit just wasn't up to snuff. The place is beautiful, but we were seated in the least interesting area. My friend said it used to be an open patio and was renovated for more indoor seating, which makes sense, but it lacked any real atmosphere. When I am spending this kind of money I want a slow, leisurly pace, and this felt rushed. Yes, we probably could have asked the waiter to slow things down, but we didn't. I ordered a specialty cocktail - the Midnight Sun that was delish - it was layered and around $16. The waiter then brought out what ended up being the highlight of the meal, a little treat from the chef. It was a creamy gnocchi dish to share, about three pieces each, super rich and honestly I could have eaten 20 more. We also spilt the bread flight. The bread was good but I wasn't a fan of the spreads, I'm a BUTTER person, these were more like bean spreads. The brussels sprouts with pork were also really good. Hubby and I split a mixed green salad that was pretty mediocre, and the croutons were almost too hard to chew. Then came the pork, which was a dissapointment. It was so tough it actually got caught in my throat a couple times despite chewing it well. We didn't even finish it. For the price, it should have been tender and full of flavor, and it was neither. My friend ordered the duck pasta and said it had "weird pieces of meat" in it. Her husband got the filet and loved it, so at least someone at the table was happy. We skipped dessert after most of us had disappointing entrees. I guess the good news is they rotate the menu every few months, so maybe it would be a totally different experience next time.

Very nice restaurant!…read more We had reservations at 7:45, checked in early and were seated on arrival. Upon entering the restaurant it seemed swamped but the staff was well prepared for the guests. Our server, was amazing! (I'm ashamed we didn't remember his name, Paul maybe). Nonetheless, he knew the menu, the specials, the drinks, and suggestions! We loved each and everyone of the suggestions and choices we made. Our dining experience started with the signature old fashion followed by a bottle of Heitz Cellars Cabernet! We ordered the lamb and brisket buns. Both were savory, delicious and well prepared. Followed by their Sushi Roll. It was described as "if you love sushi, you've never had anything like this." (I've had a ton of Sushi all over the world, and this was a spectacular Hamachi Roll.) we rounded out our meal with the Butternut Burrata and bread basket and a Beef Tenderloin. It was cooked to perfection and able to be cut with a fork. (I am salivating thinking about how perfectly it was prepared.) Just when we thought it couldn't be any better our server suggested we look at the dessert menu. He tempted me with a blood orange sorbet followed by a peanut butter chocolate pie. AMAZING! The fun thing was, I consumed the Heitz Cabernet throughout my entire meal - all the way through dessert. My high remarks to the chef and the staff because this team knows how to please and perform flawlessly!

Like every other bride on this planet, I brought my Bridal Party out to Nashville, TN to celebrate…read moremy Bachelorette Party. First up on our itinerary? Goat yoga. And for that I have NO regrets. As a California native, I did my research before selecting the best location for me to cross this off my bucket list with my girls and I am glad this was it. They were so accommodating to our schedule and even added an additional class for us (which booked up full with other groups as well). Whether you are into yoga or just love goats, there's no way you won't have a great time here. They have so many goats (all so adorable) running around that everyone gets as much time with them as you'd like. The instructors do a great job accounting for everyone's skill level and they don't get frustrated when an attendee only wants to play with the goats (guilty as charged). All you need to do is show up. They provide the clean mats and all of the necessary instructions to have a good time. Bring your cameras and be alert to avoid goat pee and poop that isn't too messy or smelly (and their crew does an incredible job cleaning up on the fly). I highly recommend this studio and will definitely be back again when I'm back in Nashville. Thank you for being such an incredible memory from my Bachelorette weekend!
