But if you're looking for an authentic, old-school Nashville music experience, this IS the place! It's crowded. It's hot. Personal space does not exist. Claustrophobics should plan accordingly. The night we were there, they had a bluegrass jam going, and it was fantastic. Close your eyes and you could imagine yourself sitting in some West Virginia holler listening to a bunch of incredibly talented musicians just playing because they love to play. It was uncomfortable, crowded, hot, completely authentic--and I enjoyed every minute of it. The Station Inn is Nashville the way you hope Nashville still exists.

Once inside, people make a mad dash to claim their seats, and they squeeze in as tight as they can. Popcorn, Jack's-like pizza served on paper plates and buckets of beer are available, and the line is long. The music here IS phenomenal, without a doubt. That alone is worth the visit, but be prepared to wait in line and feel like a sardine stuffed in a tin. Not for the claustrophobic,

We had been exploring different parts of Nashville throughout the weekend, and Pete's was definitely one of the more entertaining stops we made. The atmosphere here was exactly what you would expect from a dueling piano bar. The music was loud, energetic, and a lot of fun. The pianists did a great job keeping the crowd involved, and there was a good mix of songs that had everyone singing along. It was one of those places where you can walk in not knowing exactly what to expect and quickly find yourself having a great time. Going with a group of friends made it even better. We were able to grab some drinks, relax, laugh, sing along, and just enjoy the experience. There was a great energy in the room, and the performers really knew how to keep things moving. After spending the weekend in Nashville for the football game, this was a great way to experience another side of the city. We had already visited several historical landmarks and other Nashville attractions, so spending some time at a lively piano bar was a nice change of pace. We had a great time at Pete's and I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for live entertainment and a fun night out in Nashville. It was a memorable stop during our Labor Day weekend trip with friends.

A lot of song writers and up and coming artist perform here. They have a lot food on their menu to choose from. I'd say the best dishes were the wings, sweet potato fries, apples and definitely the cheesecake. The bbq was a miss for me. Meat was tough and bbq was pretty cold. Some songs were well known, some were just their favorites, some were brand new. They were all good singers and excellent guitar players. We were seated in at a high top table and, unfortunately right between the bar and the main aisle way. We still enjoyed the music but would probably want to sit on the stage side of the aisle to reduce the number of people walking by. Food was good. I had a smash burger with Brussel sprouts as a side. Lots of sides to choose from. Husband had the fries which were delicious, crispy with a nice seasoning. There is a $15 min per person spend required which doesn't take much to fill. The ticket pricing is very reasonable so didn't feel bad about eating dinner and having a beer. Loved the experience. I'd totally go back. The music was awesome.

We just finished up at the Catbird Seat and Ashley had called next door to see if they could seat us at the Patterson House. As it turns out they could, and they were ready for us when we made our way across the hall. They gave us a choice of where we'd like to sit, and there were two chairs at the end looking out of the windows at skyline of the city. What better way to end a lovely evening with a lovely lady, but with a lovely view and some fantastic drinks? Holland, like the country, greeted us and set us up for the evening. Holland brought great energy, and was super welcoming. They even offered us drinks on the house for the engagement. Totally unexpected, and that just meant we had to have more than one round to make sure that we could appropriately tip and show our appreciation for the amazing hospitality! The drinks were great. I tend to gravitate towards the less sweet. The Japanese Anchorage scratched that elitch very well being boozy forward, with hints of flavors. She had the Late Summer Margarita, refreshing and sweeter. We shared the Thai Tea Banana Colada. Definitely the sweeter side, but couldn't pass up the opportunity. Very good, a little sweeter and a little heavier than I'd normally prefer. It met both of our preferences right in the middle. Compromise, right? Great experience, and would absolutely come back when in town!
