[[HIGHLIGHT]]Good dive bar with everything you expect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The venue has indoor and outdoor seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and parking is available in various lots and spots in the neighborhood.

    Great beer1

I visited the 5 Spot the other night on a recommendation from a friend. The music there was a Waymores reunion concert. I had never heard of them but one of the musicians introduced himself to me out of the blue which was very nice-- thank you, Don Henry. I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the harmonies, the playing, and the song writing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]One thing that the Five Spot has in spades is an a-mazing sound system. I have not heard music so well in many years.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The crowd here was older and friendly and the beer assortment was delicious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My only complaint is that if you want food the bartender can make you a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Did I order it? Yes I did and it was good. Thank you, 5 Spot of Nashville, Tennessee, for expanding my musical horizons, for the excellent music, and for your godly sound system.

$2 Tuesdays yass! A featured band plays in this intimate location. In and outdoor seating. Food truck in back. Other special featured musical nights. The 2 window fridge filled with a happy collection of ciders and beers, in addition to the taps and hards.

Tiger Beats. These guys can lay it down.

I love this little dive bar. Small, friendly crowds. Seen a couple really cool bands like Tim Carroll trio, and the Tiger Beats. The french fries here are so good I get them every time. Just a great spot where you can go see a band at 6pm, and be home before it gets dark. Super easy to get to, and parking is not hard to find.

This is an amazing bar, a big patio for future to breath, great bar service, responsibly checking vaccine status. Also, Crocodyle is awesome, they really ignited the night. Looking forward to coming back

Ask the Community - The 5 Spot

Is this a good club for a 50ish couple to drink, dance and enjoy a Saturday night out?

Depends on the band scheduled for the night. I'm mid 40s and the music was way too loud and alternative for me and my group. Drinks were cheap, but that was the only good thing about it.

You can check out the calendar to see what they're playing for the night, the ambiance in there is great-definitely a mix of LA & New York. It's a mix crowd which I love. The manager & all the staff there are very welcoming, I normally reserve a table there when I go & the prices are very reasonable.

Nashville's lounge revolution continues. We've gotten Nashville's take on Brooklyn, LA and Vegas…read more the back corner is very Miami Beach. When I walked in I, immediately, thought of Haven (RIP https://www.yelp.com/biz/haven-miami-beach-2). From the LED wall to the music to the drinks to the vibe... I didn't feel like I was in Nashville anymore. the back corner stands out and gives Middle Tennesseans something that's not readily available in this area. If you're in the mood for a little coastal cosmopolitanness (is that word? It's not a word), the back corner is about to be your new favorite place. The neighborhood gets things moving in the right direction. For as much as Germantown has (scenic streets, fancy high rises, coffee, good eats) it didn't have a nightlife destination. Putting one here makes a lot of sense. Building off the 5th & Taylor imprint, the back corner starts off fancy (but not pretentious) and builds to memorable. Upon entry, the first thing you notice is the LED wall and stage. With a changing display of electronic intoxication, you're drawn into a world far away from Lower Broad. If you can break your gaze away from the stage, you'll notice the upper and lower lounge seating. Intimate, cozy and a bit mysterious, the seating at the back corner lets you decide whether you want to be front & center or if you're rather sit back and take it all in. You can be as public or private as you'd like. If indoor seating isn't your thing, make your way outside to enjoy the fire pit and Germantown night sky. Just do us all a favor and refrain from smoking. Seeing cigarette butts along the patio or by (in??) the fire pit is not sexy and very off-brand. All the above said and noted, the back corner is not a huge space -- which is a plus and minus. It's a plus because it never becomes the cavernous mess of bass and desperation. The minus is crowds gonna crowd and with a lot of people, the space will be tight. I don't know how to fix that. I suppose a velvet rope and waitlist will keep crowds at bay but neither feels very Nashville. Hmm... Another minus (relating to the size) is that there's only one bar. One bar in a space this cool is a bit tight. I know the space behind the bar isn't huge but I would staff it with 3 bartenders at a time so as to keep up with the crowd. Because you're going to want to drink. A lot. The cocktail program at the back corner is a bit unusual for Nashville -- and very Miami. Expect rum, colors and a boozy punch. Actually, the menu could use a punch. Get on that, tbc. Re drink progression... start with the gimlet. It's pretty to look at and refreshing to drink. All the mixers, juices, etc. are made in house so you're getting quality fare. From there, hit the No. 4 and, then, the No. 2. If you're still upright, drink some water. Water? Who am I kidding? Cocktails! You're in Miami, [redacted]! Well, sorta. If you need some noshes, 5th & Taylor is serving up bites. Don't come here for dinner. Who eats food? Let the music and booze nourish your body. As perfect as the back corner is for DJ sets, live music (this *is* Nashville, after all) works as well. the back corner isn't the Downtown dance club people have wanted for a (looooong) while. But it is a welcome addition to the city's nightlife scene and, very possibly, you're new favorite place to go. Bienvenidos a Nashville.

I loved the skinny margaritas, and the frozen blackberry mule was so good. They have a really nice patio that's perfect for hanging out. The only downside is that I feel like they close the patio/space a little early around 10 PM, and after that the inside gets extremely packed and it's hard to move around. The atmosphere was lively but not over-the-top. And the menu was full of delicious options. There was also a special menu for folks with various dietary restrictions, which came in handy for our gang. We started with shishito peppers, beef tartare and mellon balls with shaved ham. All were delicious! For the mains, we had beef cheek "pot roast", short rib and a NY strip, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes. Elevated "comfortable food" that leaves one quite satisfied. The wine list was mainly US wines (I'm a fan of Italian reds), but they had one of our favorite Napa cabs at a reasonable price, so all good! The bar serves a range of interesting cocktails that we plan to try next time. I usually pass on desserts, but the fried peach pie and ice cream was too good to pass up. The blackberry trifle was also yummy! 5th and Taylor became one of our favorites after this visit. We'll return for date nights and to bring large parties of out of town guests. Enjoy!

This is a massive operation with multiple floors, BOWLING and a massive stage and dance floor. While we didn't order food, we did drink quite a bit and found the drinks to be pretty strong, which is good given the fact that your drinks will likely average anywhere from $12-$15. The highlight of the space is the stage and dance floor area. We were fortunate enough to have several performers for this event and the quality acoustics combined with the spacious area to dance, which was mostly line dancing for this crowd, was a nice feature. I am so used to being overcrowded in places like this, but I was actually able to get a line dance or two in without stepping on too many feet.
